The Darkness had no idea pen and luc's cousin where right down the hall, he was too busy with his own meltdown. His rifle fell off his back and landed on the ground, clanging around.

(Thats understandable. I still have yet to check that one out. Thanks Sytk! and i would like to say hi back XD)

Pen understood the six guards and who ever she doesn't take down he will cover part. The rest of the jargon was lost. What twelve did I get and what six other than the guards? Marines, you think "go I'll cover you" would be enough.

Pen nodded and took out the box of cigarettes she took from the outside guard and tossed them as far away as she could to distract the guards. Lets see if these cancer sticks will work in my favor.

All six turned their heads to the sound and faced away where the box came from. Thinking it was an intruder four of them left to check it out. While the two left had their backs turned, Pen made a run for it taking them out by a flying roundhouse kick. One hit the other against the wall and they fell with a thud.

The others came back hearing the sound but failed to see Pen literally under their noses. One received an upper cut and fell back on the two other behind him while the third had his feet knocked out from under him. Dropping their comrade to the floor the two from the behind ran at Pen with their rifles up. Instead of running away, as the soldiers predicted, Pen ran at them grabbing each of their gun stalks.

In one fluid motion, she took the butt of the gun in her right hand and jammed it up into the chin of the left guy. Allowing her left for a mean hook in the jaw for the man still standing.

As they both fell Pen turned around with the rifle she didn't let go and pointed it at the third man who desperately grasping for his gun two feet away.

"I would stay put," Pen said in a tired tone as she approached the man. Reaching down and pulling the man up she gave a devilish grin. "Good boy." With that the man was thrown against the wall, and like the rest of them, fell with a thud.

((Count me in for saying hello as well))

Now away from the dangerously hot furnace, Waffle came across an intersection, except this time, there were no bladed fans, no molten fire pits, no do-or-die high climbs, no anything. Just plain metal, and only two different paths instead of the normal three or four. She crawled straight ahead with the intention of exploring the other vent later. Waffle must have not been paying attention, but she almost fell into another room. There was no vent cover on this particular 'dead end'. After being sure that she was not able to be seen, she looked into the room itself.

It was literally a gigantic storage room. Everything was arranged in two piles. One was rubble, the other was an assortment of different precious metals, jewels, and treasure, and lots of it. What got her attention the most was a huge pulsating crystal in between the two stacks of stuff. It bore a similar appearance to her orb but it was tetrahedral in shape, and more gray-white in color instead of iridescent. It gave off a strong arcane aura, more so than her orb at full charge. She shook her head in disbelief, and so did a particular face inside of her orb.

"Are you kidding me?"

Waffle was startled enough to almost hit her head on the top of the vent when she looked down at the orb to find that her father's visage had appeared inside of it. He noticed Waffle's reaction, and the image turned to face her.

"How'd you find this?" he said in a demanding tone.
"I d-don't know." Waffle responded, still shaken.
"Huh. Strange. Where are you anyways?"
"The base of the Gaian Army, why?"
"WHY?! 'Why' is the question that I should be asking!"

Waffle sighed. How did Dad just convienently appear like this? Was he secretly watching me?

"Well, it IS a long story" she responded.
"Okay, and?"

Waffle explained the whole situation to her father via the orb: the attempted ambush against her, the TV coverage, how she came to the conclusion that the general of the Gaian Army was the real reason why Serole was destroyed, the briefing that she heard over a radio frequency, everything. At the end of Waffle's long explanation, her father spaced out for a bit, then recollected his thoughts.

"Do me a favor...Go out and find the general, kick his a** and preferably kill him, go look for Sabe as I'm fairly sure he isn't near you, and come back to this room. I'll tell you what to do later; I have to leave for now."

"Before you go, could you explain what the giant crystal thingus in the center of the room is?" Waffle asked, pointing to it.

"I'll explain that later too." he said as his image disappeared.

Waffle cursed under her breath, now that her father was not there to listen nor speak. Meanwhile, the door leading into the room opened, and General Mortimer had entered. Waffle gasped and backed up as quickly as possible, hoping that he didn't see her.

Mortimer himself was looking at the stuff strewn about the room, and he only heard and saw Waffle for but a second. He looked at the vent, dumbstruck, and then turned around again.

"M' mind's probably playing tricks on me again." he muttered as he turned around again to look at the treasure, and the enormous crystal in the center of the room. After a while, he left the storage room, locking it, and returned to his office. He was still very unaware of what was going on.

Crucificcio explored the other half of the hallway to make sure no other guards in their area; there weren't anymore. So he went back over to Pen and gave her a nod, letting her know it was all clear. "You should take some of his ammo. You never know when we'll be needing it."

Luciano and Michelle walked down a small hallway, his guns fully loaded and her crossbow ready. They walked slowly onward until they got to Cell Block Z. Luciano groaned and then he said in a whiney tone, "Are you ******** serious? We're going to have to walk all the way to ******** Cell Block A if we're going to find them."
Michelle couldn't help but smile and she rolled her eyes and walked onward a little, "Oh, quit your bitching." she let Luciano in front of her a little bit.
"We're not seperating." he said to her "We're staying close. . something about this doesn't feel right." he gently pulled her into the shadows and then he whispered "We're going to have to blend in, Michelle. Something tells me that s**t is about to go very wrong. ."

Pen bobbed her head and knelt down to grab a couple of the fallen magazines. Though a gun in her hands wasn't new, it wasn't Pen style to shoot a man down. Pummel, kick, and throw but not shoot. However style would have to wait, she might not have this same situation and the rifle was a better bet.

She place the safety on and threw it over her shoulder. Tightening the jacket around her waist, and brushing her self off, she looked over and gave Crucificcio a nod. "Thank you for your concern, but if you don't mind I rather leave the shooting to you."

She stepped over the bodies and kept the lead. The next left is where the officer last saw the boss, hopefully that little scuffle didn't take too long.

Sitting comforatbly on the couch, Silvina watched Xan wander past her with no apparent purpose with bemusement flickering in her brown orbs. He seemed reluctant to try to talk with her, and she had to admit she really didn't mind being left alone. But as he left to explore another part of the large building she reverted her gaze to the radio sitting on the table before her.

However, the only thing she had heard from it so far was the quiet buzz of everyone beign cautiosly silent in communication. After listening to the white noise for another ten minutes, Silvina felt her patience start to crack. No one would break the radio silence unless in dire circumstances, and Silvina was highly aware that she would only be able to listen, stuck here at HQ, as events unfolded.

Standing up from the couch, she made her way into the kitchen, pouring some cold coffee into a mug and reheating it in the microwave, quickly swigging it down black while it was still hot. It was horribly bitter, but drove away the slight sleepiness Silvian had started to feel creeping up on her as she sat in the silent lobby. Leaning against the counter with a sigh, she took out her cellphone and gazed at the time on it's glowing screen.

She knew Pen's parting remark to her had been in jest, but Silvina seriously contemplated keeping herself awake until the group came home from the army base. Repeating her procedure with the coffee, she decided that grabbing another one of her murder-mystery novels might help too.

The darkness broke from skotti's subconscious hold and stood slowly, how ever this was no longer the darkness nor skotti... this was another being entirely.
Skotti's red eyes had disappeared, leaving a colorless iris. His skin was pale and his hair turned black.

The Blackhearts sat in a cell and where all quite calm as The Blinding played with a ball and paddle.
"Where in the world did you get that?" asked the sade.
"Dollar store" said The blinding.
"And you brought it with you?"
"yeah, Pen told me that sometimes missions can take a boring turn so you should bring something to do"
"You and Pen could be sisters, I swear"
meanwhile the Blacklight meditated but suddenly opened his eyes.
"No...NO! something has gone wrong... horribly wrong!"
"What's wrong!?"
"The Darkness... Skotti.... He has lost control of his nanomachines! somebody else is controlling him! His soul is trapped within his body and someone outside has control over him!"

Skotti's Body stood and waited for Pen and The Marine to come to him, his rifle in hand, skotti had lost control of his own body and that ment trouble for anybody around him.

(SEEEEEEE the nano's are a bad thing too)
PostPosted: Thu Aug 13, 2009 3:46 pm

(Hm. Interesting. Now we get to wonder who's controlling the nano-machines. Oh, and can I correct? Pupils are the black parts of an eye, the colored part of it is an iris.)

Sabe had managed to walk around a good part the base without being found, thanks to the cloaking device he swiped from a particular guard. He already had taken down another guard, and switched the battery in his cloaking device with the one Sabe had. Now with the tool at nearly full power, he was much more confident with running about unnoticed.

General Mortimer started to walk down the hall back to his office, and Sabe froze for a second. As he was approaching, Sabe backed himself as much against the wall as possible and held his breath to not make a noise. He had a strong urge to lash at him and beat him to a pulp, but decided it was bad judgment to do so and repressed the thought. He continued to walk down the halls after the general already had walked into his office and closed the door.

(You learn something new everyday! XD Love whole relationship with Blinding by the way. I'm going to have to use that more often. lol)

Pen turned the corner with Crucificcio right behind her. It wasn't long before a figure in the distance began to appear. By the profile it was indeed Skotti, the boss, the reckless Darkness.

She began to slow down and walk towards the man. Pen was sure it was him but his white mane was now dark and he didn't seem like himself.

"Boss?"

(Well, having a nerd in the guild can pay off quite nicely.)

Sabe was still walking, albeit less cautiously, even though it was not the brightest of moves. Unknowingly, he walked by the opened door to Luke's office. The cloaking device emitted a high-pitched alarm and disabled itself. He immediately took the wailing device off and threw it down the hall.

Luke looked up from his desk to see Sabe, who mildly frozen in shock. Luke's expression changed from his normally stoic face to a playful grin.

"Come in, or I'll send out guards." he said, while lifting the cover to an alarm button

Sabe looked at the ground.

Damn it. This is a trap, alright. I just know it...I'll play along with it.

He headed inside of the office, and Luke closed the cover in return, having not touched the button.

"Now...."

Skotti's shell stared blankly at Pen. His face was a black slate, no emotions no anything, a robot.
The Body spoke in a monotone "the word 'Boss', is not recognized it said as it lifted skotti's arm holding his .45.
"you have entered a re-restricted zone, evac-acuate the premises or your l-life will be t-t-terminated.".
PostPosted: Thu Aug 13, 2009 4:59 pm

"Sir its me, Pen." She was about to step forward but Crucificcio placed his hand on her shoulder keeping her in place. Her expression was that of worry and lack of understanding as she stared at the figure she knew was her leader.

Why would the Boss say something like that? "Boss we are here to take you home. Now please put the gun down." Her voice wasn't as strong as before. It now shook seeing the possibility that she would be gunned down by her leader. Her friend.

Crucificcio began pulling her back fearing the worst that Skotti might shoot. He was well prepared but Pen had no way of surviving a bullet.

"Fall back, I'll take care of him."
he said in his loud whisper.

Crucificcio was used to Terrorists, Crazy men wielding TNT, and he was used to seeing desperate soldiers bite their enemy in the face if they ran out of ammo, or lost their weapon somehow. But Pen's leader didn't look as himself- he gathered this from Pen's hesitant movements. Before Pen could get any closer he gently pulled her back to him, clenched his jaw and made no sudden movements. As he was afraid the man would snap and then go on a massacre. ". . This doesn't look good."

"BABE! Do not tell me you got us lost! AGAIN!" said Michelle as she took the GPS away from Luciano's hands for the third time. She fiddled with the coordinates and she saw a couple little dots heading in their position. "Ummmmmmm. . Babe, what's that mean?" she said pointing at the dots and then looking up at him
Luciano's eyes suddenly got big and then he grabbed her and ran into a dark space of the hallway, "The dots on the GPS symbolize a group of four! Two ******** groups of four are headed in our direction!" he said with a worried tone.
Michelle groaned then she hit Luciano on the arm, "Thank you! You got us lost and now you could potentially kill us!"
"Me?! What'd I do?!" Luciano said in a slightly whiney tone, suddenly Michelle threw her hand over his mouth as the two groups of four walked right past them. As Michelle went to take her hand off of his mouth, the last soldier in the group accidentally dropped his gun. He leaned down to pick it up and he could see a rosary hanging in the dark.
"FREEZE!!!!" the guard yelled out, Luciano yelled and then tackled the guard to the floor and slit his throat, Michelle hopped out of the dark a second later and loaded her crossbow with two arrows- One piercing through two guards up ahead and the other one going into the heart of just one guard. Luciano pulled out his gun from his right sock, he pushed Michelle into the dark and shot two guards. "********!" he yelled as he double tapped one of them, of course the other guards were shooting back.
"Oh, perfect!" Michelle tried to yell over the gun shots. She loaded her crossbow very fast with three arrows and took down three guards.
Luciano ran after the last one and tackled him to the floor before he could reach the alarm. He snapped his neck then kicked him to the side, "Help me round up the bodies." he ordered and Michelle did just that, "We're going to take their Ammo- I'm nearly out, and you need a gun." he said.
