As Ashira said Shadow's name her eyes flickered silver but turned back to grey.

Ashira relaxed her body within his grasp, sighing softly and contently. Though she lay in Hiei's arms, she was having a difficult time getting her mind off Shadow.

Ashira could hear Shadow's voice in her head, "He tried to kill you, he'll try again, and he wants to kill our son too.... you can't let him." Her eyes flickered silver again but turned back to grey.
Riku sat in a chair in the apartment drinking a cup of water. "What do I do from here... I cant get near Hiei without Ashira being there and I cant get near Ashira without Hiei being there." He sighed, "And then there's the problem of dealing with Hiei's 'friends'....... jeez Riku, why'd ya hafta let yourself get involved with that girl.... it has to be her.... I cant be going through all of this and it's not her." He placed the cup on the table next to him. "It's gotta be her."

Ashira groaned softly within Hiei's embrace. He just wouldn't leave her alone.. she had to get away.. his words were making her second guess again.. something she didn't want to do.
