Lavi waved Evelyn goodbye as she went, then turned back to Liv and rolled his eye when the conversation took a turn towards the mystical again. "Oh, come on..." he grumbled, not happy the opportunity for playing Scopa was being taken away from him by silly fortune-telling.

"Bye Evelyn," Liv waved as she left the room and went right back to the cards, "Well...it might be nice to hear about my future," she shrugged a little, trying to play off her strong desire to hear about it.
Truth be told she was still thinking about everything that had happened to her in the last couple months. She thought about Tyki, and what was going to happen now, how Luci was going to grow up without him around. She looked thoughtful and a bit sad as she shuffled through the cards absent-mindedly. When Lavi's tone came off to Liv as annoyed, she stopped shuffling through the deck and glanced up at him before setting the cards down, "It's probably not accurate though...yeah..it's silly, I'm sure it's all fake anyway," she shrugged her shoulders and tried to dismiss the cards after Lavi's reaction, feeling a little dejected.
She sat back on the couch and folded her hands in her lap, staring off into space for a second before blinking her eyes back to focus, "We should play Scopa. Well...I can't play, if you have to play in pairs, but I'll just watch.."

"Please tell them that!" Sil called jovially after Evelyn, amused by her comment about how scary they were. Technically some of them were a little on the scary side, but most of them just seemed to be a little nuts more than anything else.
Sil sunk down a little on his shoulders at his grumbling, her stomach flipping guiltily as if she had committed some kind of crime. It certainly hadn't been her intention to steal Lavi's Scopa thunder and had honestly just been playing games with no mystical intentions involved. She had no idea that Liv would be so interested in the prospect of fake-future telling. "I can watch and learn while you--"
Of course both her and Liv had more-or-less said the same thing, and the woman fell silent, waiting for him to make a decision. She didn't want him to be upset, so she simply leaned to brush her lips near to his cheek along the curve of his jaw; the only bit she could reach from her sunken position. "You'll have to choose who you want to play with, then... since we're both in a self sacrificial gaming mood today."

Lavi watched Liv's reaction to his grumbling, fidgeting with the cookie in his hands, crumbs falling to the floor. She seemed a little disappointed and he felt bad for reacting so strongly, even if he thought the whole fortune-telling business nonsense. When the two women gave into the idea of Scopa he sighed a little, feeling like some petty child who had whined his way to getting what he wanted. "If you want to do the reading, just do it. It's up to Sil, though, she's the Mystic here..." He shrugged lightly as not to shake off the girl on his back, "We can play Scopa later... I don't even know where I left those cards, anyway." He put a smile on his face.

Sil scrunched up her face as the decision was put on her, letting out a hot sigh against his shoulder. On the one hand, she knew how much Lavi really seemed to dislike any of the mystical things she was interested in, which is why she made an effort not to bring it up unless in teasing. However, Liv obviously wanted to play in the mystical herself-- a rock and a hard place.
"Well, I'm... going to say no... right now, anyway," Sil said, putting on her own smile. "Lavi really doesn't like it, but maybe later tonight we can get together and I'll pretend to know what I'm doing. Make a night out of it, maybe," she eased slowly off of Lavi's shoulders then, not particularly because she wanted to, missing the feel of his shoulders beneath her arms and the warmth of his back the second she was free of it. "I have some things I should do anyway... So, you two play Scopa. Lavi can give me a private lesson later," she gave him a coquettish smile then. "Good compromise?"
