Lavi made a very unimpressed face at Sil's warning, but he couldn't stop the corners of his mouth quirking upwards a little. He sat down opposite the two girls "Yeah, Evelyn's right... there's too much magic and mystery in my life already."
He picked up one of the cards and flipped it around with his fingers. "Could you play Scopa with them?"

(( BOOM. c; ))
Liv came into the room with another platter of warm cookies, the ones from the other day already consumed by the tornado that was Kyle. She was feeling especially motherly lately, so she had been baking often over the past few days. She smiled brightly when she was the Common Room had several occupants, "Hey everyone! I'm glad you're here, I've got cookies! They're warm~"

"You look like that now," Sil said, keeping her features serious, her eyebrow quirking in a sly, mysterious expression. "Just wait until the curse kicks in... You'll know what it is soon enough." At the mention of Scopa, however, her expression went blank and she blinked at him. "What's Scopa?"
Sil laughed at Evelyn's comment, "But Innocence is old news. You have to keep your interests new and exciting. In fact, I heard this story recently about this horrible box, and the more you know about this box the more dangerous it becomes, and--"
Liv flourishing a plate of cookies distracted her immediately. She made a happy noise; "Cookies!" She sang, overjoyed by the delicious snack, leaping to her feet and leaving the Tarot cards for Lavi to touch as he pleased. "Oh, and the beautiful Liv carrying them, of course..."

[Welcome home, Liv!]
She watched as Sil explained to her about this Box, leaning so far on her char she almost fell off before Liv waltzed in. Evelyn's nose twitched as the smell of fresh cookies filled the room. She hadn't had anything sweet today surprisingly and she promptly stood up, excited, and went over to her. "Wow- they smell delicious, Miss Liv!"
Warm cookies always made Evelyn's day. Her own mother would always bake cookies every first Sunday of every month.

"What's Scopa?" He repeated after her, dramatically holding a hand to his chest and gasping. "And you call yourself an Italian?" He shook his head disappointingly, placing the card back on the table with the others. "It's a popular card game in Italy. It's quite fun. I think I have a card-set somewhere, I could show you sometime."
At the mention of cookies he looked up eagerly and grinned at Liv. "Good timing, I was kinda hungry." Like the other two, he jumped up and went over to her, nearly sticking his nose completely in the cookies to smell them.

(( Thanks =w= ))
Liv was pleased at the warm welcome, even if was mostly from the cookies she had in her hands, "Thank you, Sil...but you really shouldn't tell such lies about me," she laughed lightly, "Take all you want, I can easily make more," she told the three of them.
"Scopa? Sounds like fun," she smiled and saw the abandoned cards, "Those aren't Scopa cards though, are they?" she tilted her head a little.
(( -lol pretends she knows what Scopa is- ))

"I'm only an Italian when someone is complaining about my tongue running amok," she stuck her tongue out a little at him, wondering if it was a game that her parents might have played when she was younger. Other than the initial beginning of her life she hadn't been too involved in Italian culture otherwise. As Lavi leaned over to smell the cookies, she took her opportunity to scramble onto his back and steal a cookie over his shoulder, and even if his arms wouldn't cooperate with her sudden decision to claim a piggyback, she used her knees to hold her up. "Are you sure you want to teach me? It's no fun knowing I'm going to beat you mercilessly~"
Sil glanced over her shoulder at the abandoned cards on the table, figuring from Lavi and Liv's reaction that tarot cards likely weren't used to play Scopa. She shook her head a little bit. "They're just plain old tarot cards. I found them in a drawer a few months back and no one has seemed to notice them missing, so I've been playing with them.

[Lavi] ((I can't help but read Skooma when I see that word. :c ))
Evelyn took a few cookies and thanked Liv again for the delicious treat as she bit into the warm dough, some of the melted chocolate catching on her lip before quickly licking it off. "These are even more delicious than how they smell~" She grinned as she finished her first cookie.
"How many can play Scopa? I wouldn't mind learning." She had pulled her shoulders up in a sheepish fashion. "If you wouldn't mind teaching us, Lavi."

((Gidget: Haha xD))
Lavi nearly smacked his face in the plate of cookies at the sudden added weight to his back. When he realized what had happened he smiled a little. It had been a while since Sil had clambered onto his back, something that had been somewhat of a habit of hers before. "You won't beat me." He snorted, grabbed a cookie from the plate and stuffed it in his mouth. "I'm a Scopa Master!"
"Hmm... it's usually played by two... or four, in two teams." He said to answer Evelyn, taking another cookie from the plate. "I wouldn't mind, it's not such a difficult game to understand."

Liv's eyes lit up a little at Sil's words, "Tarot cards? Do you know how to read them?" she bit her lip a little, hoping the answer was 'yes'. Any talk of Scopa flew right over her head as she set the cookies on the coffee table, plopping onto the couch and sifting through the tarot cards with interest.

((Gidget: It looks adorable ;////; !! I love how I get to see pretties even though I had nothing to do with this art trade... ;u;!!))
"Hm, I guess I don't have to beat you if I'm on your team..." Sil said thoughtfully, and once she had finished eating her own cookie, her arms went to rest along his shoulders. One of her arms slid a little looser than the other, allowing her a space to rest her chin along the crook of his neck and shoulder.
Her ideas of the four of them playing died as Liv's focus became the tarot cards, wondering why she had such a sudden fascination with them. Tarot cards were a commonly used playing card, though admittedly not as common as the standard 52 card deck. "I guess I do. I read a book on them a while back... and I have most of them memorized now. Are you interested in that kind of thing, too?" Her voice was slightly muffled.

[Sil] ((Well it did pertain to your character, so. xD Also- I think I could fix that GIF thing for you. I think Photoshop would let me do this. But I think Imma pull Evelyn out for now. c: ))
[Edit:Lavi] ((Enjoy it. <3 ))
Evelyn watched the three socialize and finished her cookies. Her golem fluttered in and she listened to the message onto it. The Science department wanted her. Reluctantly she agreed to meet them and turned to the others. "I would love to stay and watch, but the scary division wants me. Thank you for the cookies, they were delicious."
With a bow to them, she followed her little ball of technology out.
