Kiah inwardly tried to figure out how she was going to answer, because on one hand if she outright lied and said she went alone, she had a feeling Liv would scold her for going out without anyone there with her. Then again, if she told the older woman she went with someone, she'd want to know who. "Oh... Uh... Not exactly, no...," she hesitantly stated.
"Oh, is that so...," Kiah frowned a little, not knowing much about her situation. Mostly about who the mysterious father was. "Is he the one paying for her tutors, then?" she asked curiously, trying to distract her from her previous question.

Liv frowned even more at Kiah's dodgy answer, "Not exactly? What does that mean...?" she thought about it for a second and then her eyes widened, "Kiah....who did you go with? Were you on a date? Kiiiaaahh?" Liv grinned and grabbed the girl's arm, bouncing on the balls of her feet for an answer.
"Oh...yeah," she looked down a little and around, anywhere but directly at Kiah, "He has a lot of money, so. He wants the best for her. Not that I couldn't provide that, but he wants to pay for it...I don't know if he thinks that's going to make it all better," she added a little bitterly at the end, her voice under her breath.

Looking at Liv in horror, Kiah tried shaking the girl off of her arm, deciding that she should have lied. She instantly got defensive at the word "date" and blushed just a little, scowling at the same time. "It was... I mean, we... It wasn't any... It wasn't a date, Liv!"
She looked at Liv worriedly, hearing the last sentence and wondering what she was talking about. She wasn't keen on getting in between a family dispute, especially if she wasn't supposed to know about it. "You both must be very well-off, then," she slowly replied with a smile, dancing around anything that could upset the woman. "And with you raising her, I'm sure Luci will grow up just wonderfully."

Liv pouted, "Kiah just tell me who it was!"
"Well, I make enough working here...my parents are also well-off, and...Luci's father, yes. He is especially so. Even though...we aren't together anymore...he still takes care of us in that way," she replied and then added, "So are we ready?" she turned around and started walking towards the exit.

(( Welcome back Sil! <3 *Tackles* ))
Kiah continued to scowl, breaking down little by little. "It was nobody... Is it really that important?"
"That seems very kind of him, at least...," she trailed off, not sure what else to say on the matter. "Oh, yes, I'm ready." Kiah sped up a bit to match Liv's pace and headed out the doors, breathing in the fresh spring air outside after being cooped up in the Common Room.

"If you're so adamantly avoiding telling me, then yes," she walked along with Kiah, taking in the sunshine with a little sigh, "There's no reason to be so spooky about it."

"I am not being spooky about it...," Kiah grumbled, kicking a few rocks in their path. She frowned in thought before deciding that it probably wouldn't be a big deal to tell her, as long as she kept it to herself. "If I tell you who it was, do you swear not to take it the wrong way?"

She muttered a little at Kiah's request, "No promises."
From the way Kiah was being so defensive, how could she NOT take it for a date? And since when was that the "wrong" way? She thought it was about time Kiah went on a date with someone.

"Liiiiivvvv...," she stated warningly, crossing her arms across her chest and glaring a bit. "A few weeks ago, Kyle was supposed to come with me into town, since everyone seemed to think it was best that I went along with someone after... the accident. Well, he was no where to be found, so I decided to go out by myself... until I bumped into Kanda. He offered to escort me, since he heard about what happened last time," she emphasized, hoping that settled the matter.

Liv nodded as she told the little anecdote, and then her eyes widened a little, "He offered to escort you?" she was thoroughly surprised. She had never heard of Kanda ever offering to help anyone, let alone escort them somewhere. She was very curious as to what that was about, but she kept her mouth shut.
"Well...if he was just escorting you..."

Kiah raised an eyebrow at Liv's apparent shock at the news, wondering why that would seem so surprising. "Yes... Why, is that weird or something...?" She nodded along with Liv's statement, making sure that she got the message. "Yep, just escorting."
As they made their way into town, Kiah lead the way to the restaurant, a little more at ease with her surroundings than she had been the last time. She kept her hand close to her holster just in case, watching out for any suspicious activity.

"No...I don't know. It's just that I've never seen Yu be so nice and helpful to anyone before...," she shrugged a little, brushing it off though she was certain it had to mean something. She followed Kiah since she seemed to know the best path to take to the restaurant. She wasn't concerned about anything happening to them, but she had never been afraid to be out and about.

(( *Is off to bed* Goodnight~ <3 ))
"I kind of doubt that... He seems very nice to me...," she mused, letting the subject drop. Once they got to their destination, Kiah relaxed and opened the door for Liv, hoping that they had gotten rid of the rude waitress since the last time she'd been there. She didn't want one encounter to ruin the rest of her day. "What table would you like?"
