He was quite off guard as his son had come storming into the room, tears falling down his cheeks and upset so much that he had reduced himself to a child in his manners. Sevilin didn't blame him and it tore at him to see him as such. He could see his son still very much younger and standing there, brooking very much the same argument with him. Zykariel was afraid again that his parents weren't going to remain together...and Sevilin didn't have the heart to tell him that he may be right this time. Standing with some effort with his youngest in his hold he pulled his oldest to him in a reassuring hug. "Shh...it's alright. You don't have to worry." Handing him his brother and he steeled himself for the horror he could be walking into.
Making his way outside he watched where she sat for a moment before he slowly made his way over so as not to trip on rocks and send himself tumbling, wouldn't do him well to irritate his back. Reaching her he sat down next to her with a light cringe and was quiet a few long seconds. "You need to come inside...you know it's dangerous out here at night."

She knew he was there but didn't say anything for a long minute. There was nothing to say as far as she was concerned and she was still quite upset, both with herself and with him. Staring down at her hands, she muttered something about 'almost deaths' under her breath and then shook her head. "There's just one thing I want to know, Sevilin. One question and then you'll have answered everything. Why? I know you called them here because your son made sure to talk about it every chance he could in the last week. But why? It was over and finished and then you..." She couldn't even bring herself to say the rest of it.

He didn't think he'd be getting anything from her...just knew that he was going to sit outside by her side until she decided that she had enough of him and wandered herself indoors whre it was safe. Surprise was a tad evident as she decided that she would do the honor of speaking to him. "I only asked Marrkellyn to come...and it was only half over. Khaiver would never tell that I'm still alive. If he does he risks his own life and he's far too prideful and comfortable to do that to himself. But...she was always going to be there in my mind. A single wiff of my existance and she'd hunt me fown forever. I don't care anymore what she did to me, or my brothers, or my sisters for that matter. I just...wanted to know what half of my family that truly mattered were safe. And the other half faded away."
Shaking his head he pushed himself up slowly to stand once more, taking her by the upper arm he pulled her up to stand and pushed her in front of him and toward the house. "But as usual...she's right." Sighing to that and waiting for her to get on the move into the house before he went anywhere else.

She struggled against him as he pulled her up and started more or less herding into the house. She wasn't ready to go in just yet, dammit. Not that she had a whole lot of choice. But whirling on him, she hissed. "Don't give me pretty lies about safety and security, Sevilin Inthara. You wanted revenge and you know it. You wanted to see her suffer like she made you suffer but you knew you couldn't do that. Nothing you did to her would ever compare with the hells and horrors that she put you through, that put that dull look in your eyes and caused your blood to pour from your body. You put yourself in danger, nearly left me with four children and only your memory and all for petty revenge!" At this point she was pretty sure her eyes were blazing though there was sorrow, worry, fear, and even love behind it all.
"Not that I blame you for wanting revenge. But you should have told me. You should have let me help you or at least informed me that's what you were planning. I could have been there for you like I promised I would be. But you took the choice away from me. Why? Because it was your fight? That's where you're wrong, Sevilin. It wasn't just yours, dammit. Your pain isn't just yours and neither is your fear. When will you finally understand that?"

"Revenge?" Astonishment to his voice at her thoughts on the matter before his eyes hardened and his jaw set. "Revenge." He spat the word bitterly back at her just as she had hissed it at him, letting her know what he thought of that word she was used to say what happened. His body dictated his posture striaght despite the pain it caused to jolt through his system. "Do you think me that stupid? That petty? Do you think I would do anything such as revenge on this level? I have had my ultimate revenge for years now. I had it the morning she rose from reverie and found me missing from chains that had before them always bound me to the wall. I had it again when I put ink to parchment and laughed in her face when she read those words written by my own hand."
Pausing and taking a step toward her to force her to look up to meet his eyes some just to make sure she was paying attention. "But I would never bring hell unto my House and my family for something as fleeting as revenge. I would never risk the life of my son on revenge. It wasn't about that, it wasn't about letting you join in my side to undo all the injustices I've been delt in my life and will never forget and only hope they never repreat." The bite was in his voice, speaking or restrained anger among other things.
Clasping a hand on her shoulder, he turned her around and gave her a push, though it was still gently but commanding at the same time. "So go inside with your thoughts if that's how you want to feel and think of me. But don't go inside because of me but because your son is in tears because he can't get you to come in otherwise than begging me to come make you and fears you dead by the morning if I don't. Do it for him."
Turning his body from hers and standing there on the porch, dark blood red eyes watching out over the underdark before him to keep his eyes off of her. She didn't understand, he knew that but he never thought she'd think him so stupid. And to him, this wasn't over yet...there still hung a bag of ashes in his training room that he was intent to deal with the moment he could walk more than a few feet without hurting. Now he was the one angry with her.

He was angry? Well good, now maybe he knew what she'd been feeling all week. Watching him, her lips pursed and death blazing in her eyes, she listened to what he had to say and scoffed. "Why? That's exactly what I've been asking myself. We were safe from Andal, from everything that could possibly come after us, Sevilin. I made sure of it and hurt you and myself in the process. But that wasn't good enough for you, was it? That ultimate sacrifice just wasn't enough. You weren't risking anything but your own skin!" Glaring at him.
"You made sure I wouldn't follow, ensured that you'd covered all your bases, just in case you didn't come back, with that letter and stalked off to deal with the woman that you yourself called. You didn't anticipate Zykariel to follow you or join the fray and that's where you panicked, isn't it? But it was too late by that point because the fight had begun and you knew one of you was going to die." Stumbling along as he was shoving before she turned back around and slammed her hands up against his chest. "Don't you push me. Give me answers. If not for revenge, then why? Why?! WHY?!"

"I told you! What you did was only enough for Khaiver and Malhari! Go on and call me selfish if you will ! My girls are on that forsaken plane as we speak! One breath of who they are and one whisper of it to pass MarrKellyn's ears and it would be over! Khaiver won't acknowledge them as mine, he doesn't even know they are! If he heard he wouldn't say a word unless he wanted to lose his own head!" Rarely did he yell, but she had him going and he couldn't take it as it was all blowing up and he couldn't catch hold of it. The rope he had been using to climb up this mountain was slacking because the support had gave way and he was falling fast, grasping for something to stop himself from slamming on the rocks below.
"Yes I panicked! I panicked because I knew my sister and a daughter I had never known would sooner kill him before me because he was the easy game to them! If they didn't kill him, they would have dragged him back to Andal and you know what happens then!" Though he did stumble at her shoving, seeing as he was unsteady enough on his feet as it was and she just took away what was left of his balance. Meaning he fell backward and off the porch at the same time, slamming back first to the always unforgiving ground. Grimacing in pain for a moment he fought to hold back a yelp even as he pushed himself up to be looking at her again, supporting himself with his arms as he breathed hard a few moments trying to quell pain. Oh that wasn't pleasant at all.
Shaking his head and remembering there were other things of greater importance still, he turned his eyes back to her. "For you. For Zykariel. For the kids. For my family. For love. That's all the answers I have. It was never for me. It was never for revenge. I'm sorry if that's not good enough for you, or if I'm not good enough for you anymore. But that's all there is in answer..." He didn't move to get up there, merely dropped his eyes to the dirt and decided to wait for the sound of her boots walking away before he tried to do so. That familiar slipping feeling wasn't stopping though. "She's always going to be right..." Mumbling that to himself than to anyone else. Had he made a mistake? But it didn't feel like a mistake...and yet he could hear that cruel sweet laughter ringing between his ears in victorious tone.

Now he was yelling at her...which was very out of character for him. Mouth agape, she stood there, horrified as he went backwards and she reached out to grasp his hand but it was too late. "Sevilin!" She hadn't meant to shove him that hard...normally he was immovable but he hadn't been at his best for the last week which was her fault as well.
"What did you do to him?!"
She whirled in shock, just in time to see her son with his hands out, coming at her. His hands made contact right in her chest and she felt herself falling the same way Sevilin had. She tumbled straight down the steps, landing right next to him with one leg over his and her hand on his chest. Forcing herself to a sitting position, she grimaced in pain and turned to look at her husband. There were no words...
Ignoring some of her own minor injuries for the moment, she rested a palm on his cheek and shook her head. "She was never right." It took her a moment to take stock of everything wrong with him and another fifteen to put everything back to rights, berating herself for letting his cuts and bruises remain. That had been a cruelty he didn't deserve.

Broog's hand reached out and grabbed Zykariel by the collar, and lifted him right off the ground. he'd been watching since Zahara had refused to go inside, for the same reason they wanted her inside. it was dangerous outside at night. He had his job to do, adn that was to protect.
But he just held Zykariel off the ground, and watched. he wasn't going to let Zykariel's anger interfere.

His son seemed to ever be surprising him it seemed by showing up at the wrong times. He was starting to be convinced that his son was a chronic eavesdropper and snooper. He himself was horrified as his wife went tumbling but lucky for the both of him, as had been with his own fall, it wasn't too far a drop. Turning his eye up to his son as Broog came out and decided to stem any further anger he frowned. "What have I told you about putting your hands on your mother." That tone that said I would deal with you myself if I could.
Eyes came back down though as her fingers touched his cheek but they didn't stay long there. He was trying to just diengage the situation right now than do anything to further it. Frankly though he was surprised when it seemed she gave a little and decided to heal everything that needed to be healed. Whether it was sympathy or whatever, he didn't care at the moment. He forced himself up, despite the lingering pain that there was and pulled his wife up as well. "Broog, put him down. Zahara get inside, you too Zykariel." Gesturing for them to get a move on so he could too.

He knew he was in trouble even before Broog picked him up and left him dangling there. His father's voice only confirmed such things and he hung his head in shame. He shouldn't have pushed his mother and hadn't meant to...but he'd gotten so upset after watching her push his father that he'd just reacted. The minute he was put down, he bolted in and then up to his room, flopping down on his bed to wait.
She could count precious few times that she'd heard the elf before her use that particular tone and it usually did not end well for whoever was on the receiving end. His tone allowed for no argument and she didn't even think to give any, just climbed the steps gingerly and stepped over the threshold into the house. Glancing back at him, she frowned. "You're coming too."

Broog sat himself by the door, in typical guard dog fashion, hammer resting across his lap once he'd put Zykariel down. but he was listening. just in case he was needed for anything.

"Yes, I am." Thusly heading in after they did, but he passed her and headed upstairs to his son's room firstly. Leaning in the doorway, still in his own discomfort for a moment before he pushed off and went over the bed. Gently he rested a hand on his son's back. "Get up. You don't have to stay in your room. Just go apologize to your mother." He didn't want to punish the boy right now...Zykariel was just as stressed as the rest of them and he didn't need more added on.

He flinched at that light touch, surprised by its gentleness and finally pushed himself up. Staring at his father for a long moment, he shook his head. It was clear that he didn't understand but obviously his father was taking it easy on him. Maybe he understood that it had been an accident. Making his way downstairs, he found his mother sitting at the dining room table and shuffled his feet. "I'm sorry I pushed you. I was upset and I saw you push him and I reacted. I still shouldn't have done it though."
Zahara was bandaging some of her own cuts, taking care of the damage she'd sustained when she fell. Getting up, she walked over to her son and pulled him into a hug. "You're stronger than I thought you were and almost taller than me. You've got to be careful, Zykariel. I forgive you but in the future, remember your strength and don't you ever raise a hand to a female again. I assume your father has let it go this time?" Gaining her answer, she patted him lightly on the shoulder. "I know you're upset but you've got to let your father and I deal with it in our own time and way. Now, go get some reverie. You look as though you could use it."
Cleaning up the mess she'd made, she packed everything back up and then went to find Sevilin. "I owe you an apology as well. More than one..."

Meanwhile he had made his way back to the library and the evil couch that he had called a truce with...at least for the time being before he hacked it up into manageable pieces and toss it into the fireplace. But right now he was sitting on it, reclined back on it as comfortably as possible at the moment and staring at the ceiling, trying to ignore the giggling in his head. Another uncomfortable shift for him where he was...she may of quick healed everything but residual pain still lingered over how he'd been misshandling himself the past week. At first he didn't say anything as her voice made his ears twitch. "If you wish." He had resolved to keep things short in his wording until he was sure she wasn't going to go off on him again.
