It might have been the greatest challenge she had ever faced, but Sil was determined to face it. It was one thing to discover the mysteries of Innocence, another to fight Akuma and Noah, but as far as she was concerned keeping a five year old girl entertained was likely to be the hardest thing she ever had to do. Something about younger kids scared her-- maybe it was because she didn't remember when her brother was that age because she, too had been a youngster. Eight and up was her limit and Luci was still such a little one at the age of five even with her intelligence and brightness.
"Okay Luci," Sil said, kneeling down in front of the little girl who was settled onto the couch to make sure that they were at equal eye level. She was trying to be psychological about the whole thing because she really didn't know if she had it in her to discipline a kiddo. She just wanted things to go smoothly so she wouldn't be a failure of a babysitter to one of her friends children. "What would you like to do today?" She asked, but then remembered the last time she had asked that question and quickly specified, "The thing you want to do most, so just one thing at a time, okay? Preferably something that won't make your mommy want to murder me when we're done, if that's possible."

Luci sat on the couch, wiggling with energy. She was excited to spend more time with Sil, and couldn't wait for all the fun they were going to have. As Sil asked the question, she had a million things lined up, "I wanna-" she stopped when Sil corrected herself. Her mother had instructed her to behave and no pouting, and she knew very well that Liv would hear about it if she disobeyed. She carefully thought over all the things she wanted to do and made her decision.
"Can we go to the pet shop?" she asked nicely, but there was still a hint of begging in her voice as her naturally bright eyes shined with her words.

For the first time in a while, Lavi had had some free time on his hands, so he'd gone to town to keep the promise he'd made to Luci. Finding the right gift hadn't been the easiest thing as he had no idea what five year old girls might be interested in, her room in the Noah Mansion had been filled with so many different kinds of toys he hadn't really been able to determine anything she might particularly like. Recalling the first time they'd met, there had only really been one thing she had seemed interested in at the time.
Turning the small, wrapped box nervously around in his hands he made his way through the mostly deserted corridor to the Common Room. Inside, he found the little girl he'd been looking for, together with someone he didn't mind finding either. "Hello ladies." He smiled brightly at the two as he made his way to the couch, holding his hands and the present behind his back. "How are we today?"

Sil gave her a relieved smile when such a simple request was made. Thinking back to her own time as a youngster, had someone asked her that question she would have chose to be jumping off of a dock somewhere or something equally as high and dangerous. At least it was comforting to know that utter daring stupidity wasn't an age thing, it was just her. "That sounds like fun," Sil said with a smile, "But we can only go look, okay? Maybe you can help me pick out a present for my kitty."
As Lavi entered the room, Sil's smile widened and she gave him a little wave from her crouched position. "Great. Luci and I are hanging out today, aren't we?" She slid up finally, settling onto the couch next to the girl, giving her the opportunity to share her own news. "You want to tell Lavi where we're going?"
