He was severly out of practice…he had to remember that these women moved and struck like snakes and were just a fearsome and eager for opportunity but extremely patient to strike if need be. Pain and blood was not an issue to him though, he knew that it wouldn’t bother him. One thing he did like from his past. Though the question on magic was solved for him as she employed her own…bitches had protection from the anti-energy spell that Marrkellyn had set up. He was wise to her movements though…there were patterns to everything he just had to discover them…and hope his eldest sister didn’t jump in before he did. Throwing up a forearm, he let the whip connect an bite into his skin, curling around his arm and grabbing the end then, more or less keeping her from pulling it back to herself.
She was not being impressed here. Though she was taking note of the little things…he was reluctant to hit the girl. Poor little sympathetic Sevilin…even when his own child was trying to kill him and held no sliver of love. An annoyed blink though at the young voice that joined the fray with horse and blade. Oh look he came slinging words too…how cutely disgusting. Throwing off her cloak, natural as ever in leather that barely hid everything important she motioned with her harm, bringing wrist mounted blade forward from their folded back position as well as gauntlets fashioned with sharp serrated claws over her hands. “Hypocrite! You call me out for brining another…and you did the same. Ha! Not so brave as you are trying to play to be, Sevvy.” Quick and deadly in her movement though she teleported, instantly in the horses way and making it startle and throw the boy to the ground. “Whores? My my you’re calling the wrong person the whore my dear. Isn’t that right Sevilin?”
His son’s voice spiked panic and forced his plan into further motions before he wanted them to be. Thusly and bondings he did have he slammed shut…it wasn’t common for him to do such things but maybe Zahara would believe it was because he was doing too much runing and needed to concentrate. Grabbing hold of the whip with his other hand he yanked hard to bring the girl to him, knocking his elbow into her chest to knock the wind out of her before pushing her away and taking full control of that whip. It cracked out, wrapping around his son’s ankle and a quick yank drew him from Marrkellyn’s boot and he hauled the boy up by his tunic and tossed him aside as well behind him, clear indication that Sevilin did not want him to stay. “Get out of he-!” Cut short as Marrkellyn’s blade caught him across the temple as she was on him in an instant, faltering his steps so they fell to the ground with her on top of him.”
She gave an amused laugh. “Who is he Sevilin? Some little reject like you?” Stradling him as he was dazed for a few seconds…of course as she said she wasn’t going to end this soon. “Mmm, remember the many times we spent like this together? I do...if anything you were a quick study.” A look up to her apprentice again. “Jazmynna….you’re idling...are you going to come over here or not?” Personally it was fun to watch Sevilin’s indecisive blows against the girl.

Jazmynna didn't take the criticism personally, she was well used to it by now. Even if she had taken Sevilin down immediately, Marrkellyn wouldn't have been happy. She released the whip, aware of what he was trying to do and watched him use it on the other boy. That would rip the skin from his ankle and possibly even break it, which simply meant more fun for her. Her fun was taken away in minutes as Marrkellyn joined the fray and she stepped back and glared.
He hadn't been prepared for that and his first thought was for his horse but she'd disappeared. Destyny knew the drill at times like these, probably better than any mount he'd ever trained. She'd be back, he knew that too. He slammed into the ground hard and then screamed when the bite of the whip indeed tore into his ankle. The snap of a bone made it all the worse. "You don't know what you're talking about." Swinging wildly until suddenly there was another blade in the fight and he was fending off a girl about his same size.
Jazmynna circled the younger one and then smiled. "You look quite tasty. Why don't you give me a bite?" Reaching out and knocking his dagger from his hand then backhanding him and shoving him away from the other two tangling figures. She could handle this little one; she broke boys like him as afternoon snacks. A snap of her fingers and her whip was back in her hands and she lifted it high above her head then brought it down across the boy's back. "I'll teach you to interfere in matters that aren't you concern."
He held in a scream but only barely, rolling to regain his feet and ignoring the crimson streak in his back. "Do you always do what your mommy tells you to?" He taunted right back, spinning his scythe and circling her. These were the times an extra skill would be a great help. Unfortunately, he had none. Just his brute strength and the fighting skill both of his parents had forced him to gain through countless battles. He watched the girl carefully, sensing the same moves his mother often made. When she feinted left, he was prepared and caught her hard against the chest with his elbow.
"My mother is dead," she snarled and raked her own gauntlets across his lower body and knocking him in the face before stepping on his chest with her boot and preparing to crush his windpipe. "Perhaps you'd like to join her?" Then again, he'd make a good pet once he was taught some manners. Of course the difficult ones were always so much more fun to break. Glancing up at Marrkellyn, she experienced a moment of indecision. Rolling the boy with her boots in practiced fashion, she snapped the whip in quick succession until his shirt tore and blood ran fast and free along his back. Catching sight of that braid, she threw her head back and laughed. "The whore's son has come to save him. Which makes you my little brother." Grinning widely, a grin that Sevilin likely recognized.
She moved restlessly as bonds began spiking but forced herself not to get worked up. Sevilin was at work and it tended to happen like that on and off randomly. She'd gotten used to it so she laid there until her son began to cry and she gathered him up and carried him back into bed with her. "I know, baby." Slammed bonds got the toddler wailing and she held him, trying to quiet him down. That wasn't normal. Instantly alert, she stood up and cradled her youngest to her chest then conducted a search of the entire house. Something was very, very wrong. She called out through bonds, trying to contact both her husband and her oldest son but the lines were dead as if someone had taken a blade and severed them clean. She had nothing, no way of knowing if they were alright or where they were. And she didn't have Malik's power to help find him either.

Sevilin's dazed vision narrowed to one thing, blood red eyes set on his son whom was at the short end of that girls stick. Marrkellyn had made the one mistake that she shouldn't of...go after that boy. In an instant he had seized her by her throat, cutting off her air supply and held her tightly for a few moments before rolling and pinning her down, popping up and kicking her in the stomach to give himself some precious seconds.
A moment later the young girl assulting his son found herself sailed through the air as he had backhanded her hard enough to send her thus and he reached down and hauled his son off the ground, eyes frantic. "What are you doing here?!" Movement caught his attention and he tucked his son behind him, standing there between the boy and the other side of his family...well this meant his plans had just all changed. He wasn't going to let them hurt Zykariel anymore than they had. An all too sickeningly sweet laugh made his ears twitch.
Recovering herself up, she waltzed over to Jazmynna, hauling the girl up by her arm where she had landed on the ground. "That was surprising, wasn't it dear?" Eyes that matched her brothers in color came back to stare at the two. "Look at you...are you doing to protect him like you did Neroh and Grithik? Not raise your hand to protect, or are you going to do the job yourself? You have a flare for it." Tucking one of her braids over her shoulder. "A son...how'd you get one of those hm? Have you taken to raping and baby snatching? Or did you pluck him up from what you deemed a hole of misery?"
"He's none of your concern...your bad blood is with me."
Another sharp laugh. "You're trying to negotiate with me? No. No Sevilin...that's not how this works. Everything that's spread from you and lives as you do is nothing but poison to my family's name. Jazmynna here is the only thing good that ever came from you. Good stock gone rancid, that's all you are. And it's time to rid the trash from the House."

Ramoth was annoyed. quite annoyed. Destyny had gone to Ramoth looking for aid, the moment ankle snapping happened. Of course, there was no Malik or Piper here to get to offer help with. only Broog, and Keely. adn there was no way she was able to carry broog, and she wasn't going to demean herself with Keely.
But Ramoth just snapped at the younger mare. she should have known better then to come here in the first place. She should have gone back home, and gotten Zahara. and she was told to do that. while Ramoth snorted and kicked her stable to emphasize the point to leave. and maybe get someone's attention just in case.

Ramoth didn't know the situation and so didn't understand why Destyny could have used her help. Of course she hadn't meant to end up at Twilight but when she disappeared, her subconscious picked the first safe place that popped into her head aside from home. She and Zykariel had a system worked out. She never returned home without the boy in some form or manner because of his parents. Popping back up on the battlefield just as the girl had been forcibly removed from her master, she raced over and stood guard over him, snorting at the other elves. What the hell are you all doing?!
Obviously he was going to stand up for what was his. Jazmynna was no stranger to pain and bared her teeth at Sevilin after being roughly hauled to her feet. "Not really. Whores never change, they just keep breeding. It won't matter soon enough anyway." No, she didn't see either of the males walking away from the situation and she was going to have quite a bit of fun draining the life slowly from her brother while her father watched helplessly.
He knew better than to call his father by name or title but in the end it hadn't seemed to matter. One close look at him and it became obvious. His back was ravaged, but he met his father's eyes through his own glazed with pain and blood. "I should ask you the same question!" Snapping at him before trying to peek around him at the women. There was no way in hell Zykariel was staying out of this fight but he had to be careful how he intended to do it. Apparently mentioning his mother, little brother and sisters was a very bad idea. "It's just him and I. My mother died giving birth."
Tossing her head, she glared at the younger boy and shook her head. If he knew what was good for him, he'd shut up. She let Marrkellyn have her fun with taunting and waited for the moment when she'd be able to strike. "You're not worthy of the name or the braid. Sniveling cowardly worms." She backhanded Sevilin with her own spiked gauntlet, raking the spines across his cheek and jammed the hilt of her dagger into his stomach, knocking the other against the back of his knees to force him to buckle to his own. It took her a moment to grasp his braid but she pulled hard, snapping his head to the side with enough force to break his neck if she hadn't been extremely careful. "No touching him? Very well."
He wasn't about to let any of that happen and he leaped at her but slammed into some kind of wall she'd thrown up with a lift of her hand. Suddenly he was being bit by something he couldn't see and he slapped and clawed at his skin frantically, trying to get the insects off. His skin felt like it was on fire...

He silently gave his son praise in his head as the boy made it a point to insinuate that there were no others that shared his blood, even if they had deduced that Zykariel was his son indeed. Licking his lips he lowered his voice, "Zykariel...you have to get to the top edge of this valley, they have an anti-magic field up." He knew telling his son anything other than battles tactics would only make the boy dumb in battle by being defiant. Eyes sideglanced where his polearm was a moment but he learned the lesson the hard way of not taking his eyes off of them like he knew she shouldn't as hard metal met his face the same time blunt steel struck the gash earlier inflicted, stunning him a moment as the girl again turned on his son while trying old tactics with him. Obviously Marrkellyn had been teaching her well.
They dug their hole deeper with him though. Gritting his teeth, he grabbed her wrist and twisted, snapping the bones in her hand with a satisfaction he hadn't felt in a long time. "You women never listen do you?" Getting his feet back under him steadily he yanked her down and brought his knee hard into her ribs, letting her drop to the rocks afterwards and turning a look to his son, though keeping trained glances at the others. "Zykariel, it isn't real. It's all in your head....they do it that way so you'll tear off your own skin. Just think it through Zykariel, you know what magic feels like." Which that sentence struck an idea...he had to get Zykariel's magic functioning...the boy was after all a powerhouse. Now how were they getting their magics? Ah there...the pendants around their necks.
He feinted a lunge at the girls to make them react defensively a moment before strifing and tumbling over to snatch his polearm from the ground and placed himself between them and his son again. Had to get a hold of himself, Marrkellyn was trying to get him on a mental level too. His eyes turned hard and he got one of those crazy looks of his. "You know what Marrkellyn? You were never even any good in bed anyway." She had the same flaw he had...and he hoped she fell into it. Just needed to give Zykariel some time.
Frankly a few seconds of shock crossed her face at his bold comment. "You insolate whelp! How dare you!" Taking purposeful strides in his direction, jaw set and eyes blazing. "Jazmynna! Don't waste your energy on that excuse. Obviously he's no match for you. We have a job to do." Raising one hand and letting sparking enegry start. "I've cowed you under my boot before and I'll do it again easily enough." Thusly rushing her brother and letting herself feel her own anger. Which made him crash into him, both of them hitting the ground and scraping for dominance for the moment before they were back up and trading blows once more. Snatching him by his braid on first opportunity, she yanked him far too close for his comfort she was sure, trapping both their weapons between them for the moment. "And when I'm done with you, I'll rid the world of that little pest of yours that doesn't know what's right either."

All the kicking and snorting and annoyances got Broog's attention, who came to the stables to calm Ramoth down with sugar and petting. he didn't speak to the horse, he didn't know how. but something had agitated her, so first things, check the stables for imps or other critters. nothing there. then over to his warg, taking a look at the beast and checking for anything that might indicate a conflict between the massive beast on the other horses around it, that would annoy Malik's horse. nothing. now he was confused. was she just being pissy?
Walking back over to Ramoth, and batting her muzzle with his hand.
"bad horse. yous be gud and quiet."
before she bit his hand. not that he felt anything, but it got his attention. Okay. something had her in a foul mood. maybe Keely could speak to the horse, so he looked up, wraping his hand, and bellowed out.
"Keely, yous comes to da stables!"

Hearing the words didn't make it any easier to puzzle through but he focused on his memories. Seeing his parents snuggling on the couch, eating dinner together, and watching his father come home after work. Playing with his sisters and the water fight they'd all had last month. Slowly and steadily he isolated the feelings into a back compartment and then they were gone completely. His parents' admonitions that the battle came first went screaming through his head and he focused. Nodding to show he'd heard Sevilin, he knew better than to glance back at the place lest the women realize what they were up to. They could use magic though...which meant there was something feeding them the energy that he couldn't get to.
Her teeth gritted as her bones snapped but she merely laughed it off which turned into a gasp as she once again had the breath stolen out of her body. Slicing her cheek on the rocks as she fell, she slowly pushed herself back up and shook it off. "He's fun to play with." She watched as the two began scrapping once again and she threw her own magic into the mix, beating at Sevilin every opportunity she could.
Now he was free to eye that ridge. The top area where if he focused, he could just see the edge of the glimmering shield they were using. It did explain why his father wasn't using runes at the very least. If he could get up there, they could rip these two apart without ever touching them. Whistling through his teeth, he watched for Destyny who came instantly and slowly and painfully climbed onto the horse. "Up there, girl. Go."

There were no words to describe how angry Keely was at the moment. She had been quite busy with James and now people were telling her that Broog wanted her in the stables. Hell hath no fury like a woman scored, it was true but she was trying to keep her anger in check as she fixed her mussed apperance on the way out and crossed her arms. "What could possibly be so important that you are screaming for me and interrupting me when I have a guest?" Blue eyes were very much focused and upset on him, despite any ruckus inthe stables.
He felt the claws of her guantlet rip into his side painfully despite how their weapons were pinned. "Ceesha was a strange choice. She hadn't the best magics. I'm not nearly as careless as you in my picking." Hooking his boot around her ankle and yanking her feet out from under her, slamming his polearm against her back and about to give another blow before magic slammed into him and he went skidding across the rough terrain, only getting back up to have to strife and dodge other bolts but he had a certain crazy look of some sort of victory. Careful to keep his eyes from going to his son.
Marrkellyn was not a happy woman as he pulled that stunt, but Jazmynna was quick to pick up the slack and good for her or she'd get a beating. Though raising her own arm to add in on the magic barrage...nothing came up. A feel at her neck and she gave a hiss of anger. "Blast that pendant Jazmynna or you'll wish you were never born!" Setting her blades again as she went in for another kill...she didn't need magic for her brother, she never had before.

Broog gave a frown.
"Horsie upset. and she bit broog. yous help make horsie calm?"
Broog knew she had company, but it was important. an upset Ramoth could make the others upset and then all hell would break loose in the stables.

She was still pretty dazed after being slammed around a bit too much and blinked at Marrkellyn like she was stupid. The pendant was around her ne- Or not. That tone didn't brook much argument and she began slamming magical energies at the dangling gem. Things were getting frantic and that wasn't the way that this was supposed to work. She turned to see the boy moving outside the shield and was torn. Jazmynna didn't know what the boy was capable of and she sure as hell wasn't looking to get on Marrkellyn's bad side. Focusing her energy, she sent a wave of it towards the boy and then returned to her efforts of destroying that pendant.
That wave caused Destyny to rear and scream in pain. Zykariel was slammed in his injured back, tossing him straight over Destyny's head and onto the ground. He moaned and rolled, blinking blood and sweat out of his eyes. Gathering his bearings, he realized right where he was and crawled the last few feet outside the glimmers of the wall. Pushing his injured body to his knees, he caught sight of that gauntlet about to rake against his father's throat which would kill him. "NO!" It didn't take anymore than that. Zykariel's rage ignited and the battlefield began to shake.
At the same time a green ball of energy was growing in his hands, and in a strange and ironic twist, he was siphoning off the energy sparkling to keep the magic out. Later he was pretty sure his father would have some explanation for that phenomena; now, it was time to save his father's life. "BACK OFF b***h!" The energy left his hand and went in a screaming mass straight towards the fighting figures.

Someone deliver her from irrational behavior as she merely stared at him for a long moment before eyes moved to his hand and then the horse and them him again. “You shouldn’t be putting your hands near her when she’s upset. You know better.” Knowing him he probably hit at her too which would only piss her off more. Walking up to the stall, she gave a hit to the door once. If there was someone who wasn’t afraid an ounce of the horse besides Malik and Piper, it was Keely. “Now what are you so upset about? Calm down now, causing a fuss isn’t going to get you any special attention.” Turning a look to the adjoining stable, noting it empty. “What are you upset because Serino is out doing whatever it is he does when he gets restless?”
He didn’t care to use the pendant, he merely wanted to even the field. With one magic tosser down, his life was thus easier…though his sister was deadly as a panther in physical movement and most would be surprised by how strong she actually was. She would have to be to wrangle four other sisters. Which is where he found himself on the bad end of her claws so to speak. Though he was saved the devastating strike as the movement under their feet caused the three down in the valley of sorts to fault their footing. Grabbing his sister by her braid and Jazmynna by her broken wrist, he pulled them in to knock against each other just as Zykariel had sent that bolt of energy that slammed thus into all three of them to send them skidding in a tangled ball, though he was considerably in better ways since he used the other two as shielding. Dust settled and found all three dazed a moment, Jazmynna on the bottom of the pile with Sevilin in the middle and Marrkellyn on top.
Marrkellyn was dazed but only a moment before she realized what was happening and grabbed Sevilin by his hair, rocking herself back to regain her feet and hauling him up in the process as her clawed hand struck into the small of his back, even earning a noise from him. What a lovely sound. But a surprised look when her reached a hand back and grabbed her wrist, disengaging his body from the weapon and his fingers moved in quick fashion, scribing a rune to her skin. And she gave a pained sound as bones snapped under her gauntlet.
Oh yes, he considered that strike of energy from his son a blessing…despite how god awfully painful it had been, even with not being too directly hit himself. Zykariel had always been a powerhouse. He siphoned off of what ripped through him and used it for a boost against his sister, scribing the first rune that came to mind. The important thing was that Zykariel was safe…and angry. Now he just had to move the right ways to give his son more targets. Only problem was he was feeling his legs starting to go numb…Marrkellyn must have hit something important back there. New tactic. Rushing his sister as she rushed him back her grabbed her and flung her in front of him, one hand tangled in her hair and the other her good arm, twisting his lower leg around her ankle to stop that struggling. “Zykariel!” One wide open shot…sure it would hurt him like hell too, but what worked, worked. The moment her got her down he just had to catch that girl who would probably be either coming to Marrkellyn out of blind obedience for blitzing for Zykariel.

Finally. someone that would understand. So she relayed what she'd been told by destyny, annoyed as ever about it, and that broog better mind his manners and pay attention when she wants something and not go wandering off to that fleabitten brute that he had for a mount. speaking of which, that thing wasn't a horse and she was not liking sharing space with it.

He realized shortly after letting the energy go that his father was still in the way and would be hit as well. But his magic was beyond his control when he became that angry. With adrenaline pumping through his blood, he didn't feel it yet either. But he would. He watched the older woman--his aunt?-- gain her faculties and begin fighting once again. The younger was having a bit harder time recuperating though he wasn't counting on her to be down for too much longer. He was watching the action on the field through bloody eyes, trying to keep track of the figures and pick the proper time to let out a volley of shots. She was there...but so was he. He knew better than to hesitate, praying his father could take it, he let go of that second ball of energy, smaller this time but no less devastating.
Jazmynna's goal was to take out the arrogant pup who had just made himself a major player in this battle. Marrkellyn would not take kindly to her interference with her fight with Jazmynna's father and she didn't even bother. But the boy was an annoying rat that needed to be disemboweled. Translocating, she appeared behind the kid and shook her head, knocking him a hard blow against his skull. "I thought I taught you some manners the first time. I suppose not."
Zykariel was not about to go down easily. He hadn't been prepared for the knock in the head but he was prepared for the rest of it. Dazed for only a few seconds, he spun and punched the girl straight in the face despite his bleeding and torn knuckles. He had shin guards so there were no worries when it came to her kicking out at him. He should have been wearing his chainmail though... Driving his elbow against her nose, he lashed back with his boots and locked her into physical combat. They were both bloody and taking a beating but holding their own still as well. It was sheer dumb luck that she lost her balance on the ridge he managed to grab her in a hold that she couldn't really get out of, yanking her dagger away in the process.

She blinked, only catching half of what the horse said and her continued blinking said that much. "Sevilin is doing what now? No doubt something stupid right? Men!" Opening the stall door, she grabbed reins and tacked the horse, leading her out of the stall. "We'll at least go look."
He closed his eyes, waiting for the impact of such amplified power from the boy. The moment it hit them both he knew it too...felt like a thousand little blades slicing at skin and the like, the familiar hum the filled one's ears and the brightness that made one squint their eyes closed so tightly. He was relieved of such feelings but a few seconds later when him and his sister still in embrace were laying on the rocks, bodies physically smoking from heat and power, fabrics slightly smoldering and such. Though they were anything but idle with one another the two of them staring hatefully at one another...each waiting to see who would be first to move.
Marrkellyn growled in her frustration when he was the first to move. Her body was betraying her to pain and the like and frankly she was surprised. That boy had power that hadn't been seen in a long time...mostly because they was the breeding worked they tried not to get results like that...meant a shift in power and Mahlari wouldn't tolerate that. Eyes followed him and tried to stare him down even as sharp metal was at her throat, her own wristblade he had detached from it's mount. "You wouldn't dare...you know what will happen..."
"Yes...I do. You are the glue that binds what sham and shame of a House. They won't avenge you...they're revel in your abscence and tear each other apart. And then it will just be me left. MY House." Slashing the blade across her throat, not even caring about the blood that spurt across his face in the process. Without her magic she couldn't heal herself either and he'd made sure the cut made for her to bleed out.
Forcing himself to his feet, blade still in hand and cutting his own fingers from the way that he was holding it, he half limped as the feeling was quickly going and injury was getting the better of him...but he was going to get up that hill damn it and to his son. His resolve pushed him farther till he reached them as his son locked her up in a hold. That blade came to her throat as well...but he stayed his hand. Could he kill one of his own children? Vicious and twisted as she may be? Did that mean he could kill one of his own children he dearly loved here too?
