The chippings of wood echoes through Usagi's mind as he exits outside and into the courtyard of the academy. He sees students throwing kunais and other sharp weapons at the wooden posts as target practices.
Usagi couldn't resist being curious about this small course. He looked at a table of small knives, shurikens, and kunais, ready for the butchering of the posts. A teacher walked up to him and explain tips to him at throwing the knives at your opponent and the do's and don'ts for handling your own collection of sharp weapons, including a sword.

"Sayomi...." the voice receded. Slowly lifting her head up, the young girl put on her best innocent face. Iruka sensei's face softened slightly, but Sayomi still knew that she would not go unpunished. Then, as if on cue, the bell ran, and a river of happy students all rushed out of the door, forgetting the little mishap between the student and teacher. Restraining the urge to bolt out the door with everybody else, Sayomi waited patiently for her consequence. She didn't have to wait for too long. Picking up the piece of chalk and handing it to Sayomi, Iruka gave her her duty before exiting the classroom
Bushin no Jutsu 1/3
I guess it's not sooo bad...... Sayomi thought sarcastically. I only have to right Must pay attention in class one hundred times..... After writing 27 lines, Sayomi lost concentration and gazed longingly out of the window. The sun was shining, the morning dew had just melted off the fresh green grass, and there was nothing but clear, cloudless azure sky for as far as the eye could see. See Sayomi, it's not so bad. Only........ 73 more lines to go...... the sarcasm was evident in her last thought. Looking at the clock, Sayomi realised that she had only seven more minutes before break was over. Iruka sensei's instructions flashed across her eyes. s**t! I'm supposed to be finished by the time he comes back!!!
Bushin no Jutsu 2/3
With no care in the world for her handwriting, Sayomi began scribbling down the sentence again and again. "I'm never going to be finished in time! And if, by some miracle I am, then that damned teacher will make me do it again!
After seven minutes of scribbling, the prompt bell rang, it's high pitched bell echoing through the entire compound. Back in the classroom, against all odds, Sayomi had finished writing all 100 lines. As she released a deep breath, s voice boomed at her from behind. "Sayomi!" Turning around, she put on a fake smile and replied. "Yes, sensei?" Taking a step forward, Iruka examined the blackboard. "Well done.... Now do it again!"

"What? But, class has started...." Sayomi argued, indicating towards the students filing through the doors and locating their seats. "No buts! Look at the state of your writing! The first few lines are fine, what I can say for the rest of it, however..." came Iruka's reply. Knowing what sensei said was true, she quietly asked him what the rest of the class was going to do. "While you write lines, everyone else will go outside and practice the art of substitution." Sayomi growned. I'll never learn any techniques if I'm stuck in this damned classroom all the time! I'll never be able to graduate!" Then, without a word, Iruka turned towards the chattering students behind him and announced their next lesson.
Art of Substitution 1/4
"We will be heading outside. There we will begin our next lesson on the Art of Substitution," came Iruka-sensei's voice, which was quickly followed by a loud cheer from the academy students. Sayomi cursed under her breath. "Great, just my luck.... You've gotta love ninja school" she thought. As her peers walked out of the room behind Iruka, Sayomi turned her attention towards the blackboard. Just before shutting the door, Iruka called out, "Once you've finished, come out. We're just outside, you can't miss us," causing Sayomi to once again swear under her breath. "That's easy for you to say. You're not the one stuck in here writing lines..."
Art of Substitution 2/4
After about five minutes, Sayomi stepped back to check her progress. "7..15... 21," she counted, before cursing her slow writing style. Raising the now stump of chalk, she realised that she didn't have enough to finish writing. Dropping that piece of chalk and picking up another one, Sayomi returned to her lines, this time she quickened her pace, but still took care to make her words readible. After another twenty minutes, Sayomi let the second white stump fall from her now aching hand. As she massaged and stretched her numb hand, she fell to the floor. "I hope I never have to do that again!" she stuttered. After a few minutes rest, she picked herself up and headed out the door, happy to be heading outside in the morning sun.
Art of Substitution 3/4
Once she was out the door, Sayomi realised just how humid the day was. Even from that far away, the golden ball in the sky seemed hot enough to melt steel. Surprised to find no students outside, Sayomi walked around to the back of the building. Sure enough, there was Iruka sensei instructing her ninja class. As she walked up to the group from behind, a friend of hers, Hana, smiled and whispered, "So you're back! I'm sure you'll be happy to know that sensei has been doing nothing but talk for the past... Half hour" with a grin. "--And that is how we manipulate the objects around us into substitutes," came Iruka-sensei's voice. As he spotted Sayomi and Hana chatting away at the back, he called out. "Why Sayomi, would you care to demonstrate?"

Sayomi blushed and turned her gaze towards her feet. "Sensei.... I saw this kunoichi the other day. She was..." the young woman searched for the right words to convey her message without making her look like an idiot, "She was... Walking up a tree..." As Sayomi said the last word, the whole class burst out laughing. "Now, now, settle down everyone. The technique that Sayomi witnessed is infact a very popular skill among shinobi. It helps you on your chakra control and can prove very useful in battle. Now that we're on the topic, I think we can put substitution off until a later date. It would be a shame to waste such a beautiful day.
Tree Climbing 1/6
So it's settled then. I'll be teaching you the art of Tree Climbing. The whole class groaned at this once they realised that they had been listening to Iruka sensei talk non-stop for half an hour on the Art of Substitution outside in the blazing sun for nothing. Sayomi, however, merely chuckled to herself, realising that 100 lines hadn't been as bad as she thought it out to be. "Screw you...." Hana muttered enviously. "Well then," sensei started. "Tree Climbing is quite easy, so long as you have excellent chakra control, inhuman patience, find little need for frustration, and have a butt as tough as steel" he joked, laughing to himself, only to stop once her realised that he had a tough crowd.
Tree Climbing 2/6
"Anyhoo... You really only need decent chakra control and need to be able to focus for quite an amount of time." He laughed once again at the groans he received as a reply. "Don't worry, just pay attention and keep trying no matter what, and you'll be fine." He paused. "Sayomi, would you like to demonstrate?" "No...." came the quiet, sarcastic voice. "But does it matter? It's not like there's an easy way out. Either way, I get either a sore hand or an aching butt....". She was followed by a light chuckle from sensei. As she stood herself up, she headed towards a gigantic oak around twenty yards away, give or take a few inches.
Tree Climbing 3/6
As she headed towards the oak, Sayomi couldn't help but sing a light tune to herself. "When I hear my favourite song, I know that we belong....." As she confronted the great oak, Sayomi felt a mixture of awe and intimidation. She could hear some faint laughing from behind her. "Yo Sayo, today would be nice!" came a smug voice. Turning around, Sayomi identified it as Kei's. "Screw you!" she yelled in reply. I swear, if he calls me Sayo just one more time, I'll rip his heart out a feed it to the dogs! she told herself, not trusting Iruka sensei's response if he had knew what she had thought.
Tree Climbing 4/6
Turning her attention back towards the tree, Sayomi was pleased that the quick snap from Iruka had subdued the laughter that followed Kei's smart remark. So much for him to say! Looking at his form, I'd feel very sorry for any trees that he decides to climb! Thinking back to the kunoichi she saw, blocking out any unnecessary thoughts and focusing her mind, she carefully began extracting chakra from her core. After she was satisfied with the amount, she sent the electric waves to her feet. As her soles began to radiate an electric blue blaze, slowly enveloping her feet. Though surprised by this stunt, Sayomi did not let the chakra grow, but let it flow freely through her body, which was getting used to the unearthly sensation.
Tree Climbing 5/6
After a few moments, Kei's taunts once again began to make their way towards her, but it wasn't long before sensei rewarded him with a deep growl. Smiling slightly, Sayomi lifted one blazing blue left foot and placed it gently on the thick chestnut truck. After being reassured that she couldn't slip, Sayomi lifted the other foot and placed it just above her left. Slowly and surely, Sayomi slowly made her way up the great oak tree. After a while, she felt a wave of fatigue wash over her, though she did not let it block her concentration. Despite the pain coming from her feet and the tiredness that drenched her, Sayomi persevered, and soon found herself at the top of the tree. Surprisingly, there was silence coming from behind her. Taking one step back, Sayomi stepped onto a tree trunk and realised the chakra from her feet. Taking a deep breath, Sayomi turned around to see what everyone thought.

"Great job Sayomi!" said Iruka, though his voice didn't sound one bit surprised. Sayomi just shrugged. "Nothing big," she replied, before taking a great leap and landing on all fourson the ground like a cat on, then taking a seat beside Hana. "Well, well, well, Sayomi, the mighty kunoichi returns," Kei coughed,"and why am I not surprised by the result?" she said sarcastically, grinning. . Sayomi smiled sweetly. "I'm sure you'll do a great job when it's your turn. Besides, it's not that hard..."Sayomi looked at Kei."When you put your mind to it, that is..." Sayomi replied kindly, glancing at a rather irritated Kei.
Water Walking 1/6
Hana went beet red. "Yeah, but still, no one here can compare to you.... Well, maybe Iruka-sensei can....." Mana's voice trailed off as Iruka stared talking again."That was great Sayomi! Now, I have another little trick that all of you will find quite interesting." Iruka walked backwards, ignoring the warning glances his students were giving him. "Be careful Iruka-sensei! The hot spring....." Hana was cut off when she turned away, trying not to imagine Iruka walkinh right into the boiling hot water. The whole class was anticipating the sound of Iruka-sensei hitting the blazing water. But it never came
Water Walking 2/6
The only person who didn't turn away was Sayomi. The moon ninja's used to this all the time...... Sayomi's thoughts went to the past, where the moon shinobi had first showed her the art of walking on water. Sayomi's mind was brought back to earth when Iruka-sensei's voice boomed, "Sayomi, why don't you demonstrate the little trick that I just showed the class?" Sayomi's eyes looked black for a second, before they gained their pitch black colour. I remember this...... The trick is chakra control, exactly the same as tree climbing..... Sayomi walked towards Iruka, carefully extracting some chakra and transferring it to her feet . Without a moments hesitation, she stepped onto the water.
Water Walking 3/6
"Do your best Sayomi!" came Kei's voice, literally shaking everything around him. This included Sayomi. Though she didn't turn out like the others. Loosing her control and balance, she fell into the hot spring. The boiling hot water was burning her skin, yet it felt strangely refreshing. Within seconds, Sayomi jumped up, gasping for air. Her fringe clinging to her face in strands, trying to hide Sayomi's angry gaze. But her menacing glare broke through. "What the hell is wring with you?!!!" she screamed on the top of her lungs. Iruka walked towards Sayomi. It would seem that Kei's out brust hadn't effected him one bit. He must be used to it.....
Water Walking 4/6
Iruka reached out to grab Sayomi's hand. "How you feeling?" he asked in a sad tone. Sayomi didn't even bother to answer. She reached out and took hold of Iruka's extended hand. She dug her nails into his skin. That should explain how I feel she thought to herself. "Kei......" Iruka began, looking quite annoyed. "Why don't you have a little go walking on water?" he asked. Kei shrugged. Walking towards to water, he merely stepped onto the hot spring, expecting himself to walk across with ease. This, of course, didn't go according to plan.
Water Walking 5/6
Taro went plunging into the water. Suits him right Sayomi said to herself smugly. Iruka tutted. "Kei. You can't just step onto the water and expect to be able to walk on it! There is much more too it," Iruka said to him. Climbing out of the water, a wet and slightly annoyed Kei muttered to himself, walking back to his position. Sayomi had to bite her lip to the point that it bleed to stop herself from bursting out laughing. "Why don't you try again Sayomi?" asked Iruka softly. Without another word, Sayomi walked towards the water, once again extracting her chakra. This time, she succeded.

"I see you own a sword," the teacher saw Usagi's katana strapped on him. The teacher raise his eyebrow, "you know you're not permitted to walk with it on the academy's grounds."
Usagi's eyes are narrow from the teacher's rule. The sword was his prized gift from his father. He doesn't want to give it up to anybody, even if his life depends on him and he will not give it up.
The teacher read his expression and said, defeated, "Ok I will let that slip but only for this course. Now can you throw a decent shuriken at that post." Usagi walk to the table, grab the sharp object and focuses on the post. With one throw, it landed on the mark, but it wasn't luck.
"Hmm, beginning's luck. Try again." The instructor handed Usagi the next shuriken. Usagi concentrated and throw it off the circle. He continue missing until finally he hit the mark. "Nice throw Usagi-kun," said the instructor. Usagi nodded and bow respectful at the teacher and leaves the grounds and onto the halls.

`Clown and The instructor was at the river. The instructor then said.. Clwon today iam going to teach you a new move.. the water walking skill.. Clown look at him then his white pale eyes look back down like he was sad again. Now befor e you learn this skill youll have to know 1 thing this jutsu need you to push the right amount of chakra into your feet. If now youll... The instructor put his hand on the river then he takes it out. The water then look like it was heated. The water is 89 degrees if you full think of the pain youll be in ask the instructor compeleted his sentance.
2/6
Clown raise his chakra to his feet then came to think that he would have to find the right amount to put his chakra. Alright How about 44 percent chakra in his feet and steps on the water. Clown fott begins to sink intoo the heated water GAHH! clown yealled. 44 percent is to much said clown Clowns step on the river again but with 33 percent chakra into his feet he then get a idea. ~Shadow clone jutsu!~ He makes 2 clones then the clones have diffenert persent chakra in them.
3/6
Clown clones step into the river and all of them fail to stand on the water. Clown then tells his instructor "see i cant do it." This will never halp me in life. Clown then sits on the ground sad. The instructor then sits down with him. You must Keep trying. You wont pass if you dont pass this skill.. the instructor said. Well let me fail i have nothing better to do Clown said. The instructer grabs clown and throws him into a tree. Stop it with that talk youll never make it like that. I know you now notice alot but you got to keep trying. You would not be in this if you just past my 10th test today.
4/6
Clown begins to cry. Clown then stands up. You.... You made a NONO D< Well well look like i set off his anger. haha this should be interesting... said the instructer.. Clown stands there then says You thing i want to risk my life being a ninja.? Want do they live for? Hate ? Love? No! they only live to bring problems. This world is nothing but rotten! My mother was killed in a war and get this she was not even in the war. Those who kill for fun are called ninjas to me. Ninjas get a joy out of death. I dont want to see anyone that i care about die again. Thats why if i do become any ninja it would be a tracker ninja!
5/6
The instructor looks at clown. Iam in shame that you would say that. Theres no reason to hate all ninjas. You think we all the same but we are not. Some of us give are lifes to see that other people are happy even if they are not envoled in the problem. Iam pretty sure your mother did that. When you grow up youll soon know. But if you want to stop it then become a kage.. Youll can stop us ninjas from war or any other type of pain you feel we should not suffer. But before you can do that you must walk on the water. Clown chakra raise without him knowing. Clown becomes more madder. He jumps onto the water on his feet without sinking. There you happy? He walk off the water. Yes infact i am you see the right amount is 13 - 14. Haha. You dont need to push up to the 30s your only 7 and your small..

Entering the Academy, Sano's eyes searched for a teacher. He sat in a row quietly and patiently. A few minutes later, a teacher by the name of Hideyoushi entered as well. Sano stood up and made his way toward the man. "Hello Sanosuke." The teacher said. Sano nodded keeping his blank expression as he spoke. "Hello." he replied. The teacher turned and went to the outside of the building, to the open training area. Sano following close behind. "I'm going to start by teaching you the Art of The Replacement Jutsu." Sano nodded again remaining quiet. Hideyoushi stopped and turned to face him. Sanosuke stopped and asked, "What is the first step to this technique?" Hideyoushi smiled.

Hideyoushi drew a kunai and handed it to Sano. "I'll start by showing you." Sano took the kunai and stepped back. "When your ready" Sano said drawing his hand back with the Shuriken in it. "Go" Hideyoushi said. Sano hurled the kunai directly at his gut Hideyoushi was lifted off of his feet as he flew back, impaled. Sano's eyes slightly widened as he watched. The figure that was Hideyoushi quickly poofed into a large cloud, revealing itself only as a log. Hideyoushi then stood behind Sano with crossed arms. "Thats the Substitution Jutsu." Said Hideyoushi. Sano turned and faced him. "Ngh..so its all about timing."

Sano stood ready for the kunai calmly. "I'm ready.." Sano said. Hideyoushi threw the kunai at Sano's abdomen, and Sano moved slightly only enough to barely dodge. The Kunai grazed his side and he winced slightly. covering the graze. He grabbed his side covering the cut. "Ngh.."

Sighing and standing up straight, he waited for the next kunai. "Sano, remember that you won't always know the kunai is coming. Understand?" Hedeyoushi noted. "Yes." Sano replied and prepared himself. Hideyoushi gripped the next kunai and hurled it without warning at Sano's chest. "Ngh!" Sano quickly jumped from the path of the kunai before realizing a second kunai hit him. Or so it seemed. Sano's form vanished and was replaced with a log. Sano stood beside Hideyoushi quietly. "You did it!" Hideyoushi said with a smile. Sano smirked and nodded. "Although I wasn't expecting either kunai at the time. Thank you. I saw why you did it." Sano noted and Hideyoushi laughed.

Sano built up his chakra and began to focus. He formed a hand seal swiftly. "Shadow clone Jutsu!" The clone that should of been identical was slouching on the ground, drooling, and extremely pale.

Said Hideyoushi, jabbing the clone with a kunai making it disappear. "Maybe you should try NOT focusing. Maybe thats the trick. See?" asked Hideyoushi. "Yeah..I think." Sano wasn't too sure what the instructor meant. But it was worth a try. "When your ready.." said Hideyoushi. watching. "And remember, try to let it happen comfortably.."
