Violet cringed away from him when he reached for her. She moved over close to Mit when the priest left. "What did he want?" she asked.

"We call him the death priest..." Mit explained, "When our last priest of the dead died, he was born. Shortly after reaching magical puberty he got a power. A very scary power. If he touches someone he can kill them. As a Priest of the dead it is his job to sever relationships with the deceased. He likes this job, and doesn't like when things he didn't plan come up. Bond Breaker being shattered is one of those. Most likely he wanted to end what ever had cause Bond Breaker to well... break."

Mit pulled her close and held her rocking from side to side like he could remember his father doing with his mother, "I won't let him touch you... And the other priest have forbidden him to touch anyone until he can control his power. Don't worry... He's a child... He's just throwing a hissy-fit."

Mit pulled away, and gave her shoulders a squeeze with his hands, "Come on... we should sit down... This is going to be a long night. At least all the other Priests are old geezers, and the older is so old he's blind."

Mit sat on the seat, he stood and sat down as other priests came and left every hour like clock work. After the death priest each one was older than the last, until a blind, bearded, old man with a younger aid came in he said his prayer then approached Mit. A feeble looking hand rested on his shoulder as he shakily took a seat on the bench with them. He was silent for a moment, "You have both done well... to stay here all night... Mitica, young one... Go, take some sleep, and dress in your ceremonial robes. I will look after Ambersky's soul while you are gone."
Mit nodded to him, heavy bags under his eyes.

The elder Elf reached for her shoulder, hopping to just touch it. "A Moment, Lady of the Fae? Mitica, may I borrow her? It shalt be long."
Mit looked from him to Violet, "Don't worry... The head priest has always been very kind. I'll wait outside.

Violet nodded and stayed where she was until Mit was gone. Then she looked to the blind priest.

"May I see his new bonded?" The old man asks in a very low voice, He lifted a hand off his knarled walking stick, and held it palm up near her, "I can sense her on you. I know Kar scared you about that, he is young, and selfish. I wish to give her my well wishes, when she lets him know she is there for him, it is going to be very difficult road for the little one."

Violet put her held the egg tighter, watching the men carefully. She wasn't sure she should trust him, having few good experiences with them. But Mit did say he was kind, and had left them alone together. She put the egg in his hands.

The old priest smiled brighter as he held it in one hand and gently brushed his fingers over the shell, "She will be lovely... She's almost ready to hatch as well... She's waiting for a little more heat before she tries..." His voice changed as though he was talking to the egg, "Ah yes... He will be waiting for you... Yes, he will appreciate your timing... This has been very hard for him... Having had a familiar for most of his life, loosing it is very hard." He offered the egg back to her, "Be careful with her egg, it is no longer as durable as it was. I am sure, she will hatch today."
