I'm such a hypocrite. This is not news. But I just wanted to vent one specific case.
Offline, I have the utmost disdain and revulsion for people who drink, smoke, or do drugs. If I have an acquaintance and I find out they've ever even had an ounce of wine at a ceremony or something, I'll suddenly start acting very cold towards them. Any more than that, I'll just stop associating with them except when absolutely necessary. I'm completely disgusted by the fact that my parents keep alcohol in the house for guests who like it. Once I have my own property, anyone caught bringing any kind of drugs into it will be kicked out and the offending substance(s) incinerated.
Online, though, the most I'll really do is cringe and scroll down/click away really quickly if someone mentions anything like that. Even though I have the same feelings about it, I don't act on them in the way I do offline.

And no, this isn't a religious thing, just a personal thing. (I actually have similar prejudices against religious people, and have similar discrepant reactions online and off.)

And I feel the exact same way about drugs'n stuff. I get on everyone's case if they smoke or drink. My sister won't let me in her car now, because if I find a pack(That she always says belonged to her friends), or even hint at smoke in the air, I'm on her case like a madman. Well..... I only care about it when it's related to someone I care about. confused
