It was one shock after another. First Lorey asking him to stand in for the father she didn't have and now Richard asking for his.. help? The end of the word had to be upon them. "Yes, yes, of course. I can even take you to where I get my own. I'll wear one that matches the cut of yours."
Meanwhile, Lorey looked to Raquel with a smile. "Want to be in a wedding?"

Richard smiled, obviously embarassed but thankful. "Thank you. I could use the help." He smiled with a sigh.
Meanwhile Raquel smiled widely, not even thinking about being in her own wedding shortly. "You mean it Lorey?" She asked with an excited nod. She had always wanted to be in a real wedding. Something lovely and formal. It just made her excited at the thought.

"Of course I mean it! I don't know much about these things, but... I need someone else to be in it. The dresses will be... oh gosh, I don't even know. You're going to have to help me." Suddenly everything was terrifying. The right color for the dresses, her own dress. What would she do?
"Richard," she said. "Do you think green, for Druis, or blue for.. the only color I have about me, would be good?"

"Hm..." Richard looked at her for a moment. "I love you in blue my love, tough..." Raquel stepped in.
"I think I agree... blue just makes your beautiful eyes pop. What do you think Damian?" She asked, knowing he could give better fashion advice than her and Richard combined.

Damian gave her a sidelong glance. "You're about to make me look very gay, dear, but..." He stood up from the chair that he thought would have been put to good use before. Oh well, he thought. Always another time.
He took Lorey's chin in his hand and stared at her eyes. They were a deep sort of blue. they caught the light for being so large. Honestly, he thought. Girls would murder for her looks and she wasn't even aware of them half of the time.
Damian released her blushing face with a nod. "It might be best for the dresses around her to be a royal blue. Perhaps upon her white dress she could have a blue sash or embroidery to accent the others and pull the colors in. The bouquet may not be able to mimic those colors, but perhaps if there is embroidery in the gown, it could also have touches of green."

Richard nodded, slightly guilty he couldn't think of slighting like that himself. Not the designers eye, but just the idea of something that would make Lorey look even more beautiful if that were possible.
Raquel smiled, nodding in agreement as she hugged Damian's arm. "I think you're right love..." She smiled thoughtfully, trying to imagine the lovely dress. She glanced over to him, giving him a look that read 'I want your advice on my dress as well dear'.

"Now for you," Damian said to Raquel. "Your eyes might have a hard time with this one. But accessories will fix that. Richard, your tie should be some shade of Lorey's dress. We'll figure this out soon enough."
Lorey was getting very excited about this. It was actually going to happen. They were going to get married and be together like never before. It made her heart race and face pale just a little bit, but everything would work out.

Raquel smiled at Lorey's excitement. What really had her stomach fluttering was how eventually, she'd get to be the one doing this. It made her happy in so many ways. "We'll find the perfect dress tomorrow Lorey. I promise." She smiled nodding excitedly.
Richard nodded, noting with a smile, Lorey's excitement as well. "Thank you Damian... It means a lot to us." He meant that as a whole. Everything Damian had done or would do to help them, monetarily, providing them with this temporary roof over their heads, decision making, he had helped in it all.

Damian looked to Richard and smiled rather genuinely. "If you ever need anything... if both of you need anything, let me know. I will help in any way that I can. But nothing too extravagant--"
"Oh, no!" Lorey shook her head, making her bangs go over her eyes again. They were getting too long once more, making her look like she did when they'd first met. "No, nothing too fancy. Just a nice, small wedding. Teagan's got the flowers, and we'll make the food... everything's so small that I'm sure we can manage that."

Richard nodded with Lorey. "Yeah, thank you so much Damian, but I think we've basically got it all." He nodded, looking to Lorey before kissing her head.
"I'm sure after we're married, you two are going to enjoy having this whole place to your horny little selves hm? He joked, though didn't notice Raquel squeezing Damian's hand.
She almost wanted to laugh, but didn't, just merely shrugging, still wanting to wait a little bit longer to reveal their announcement.

Everyone smiled and chattered in the kitchen about their plans for the wedding. The next day, though, was when they would really have their plans take flight.
It was about two in the afternoon when Lorey and Raquel donned their mall outfits and had arranged to meet Richard's mother at the mall to buy wedding dresses. They would be in the very high-end part of the department store, as Lorey had made sure to save enough for a dress of her dreams. Damian had taken care of anything Raquel and her would need, and had called the department store ahead of time to make sure that their every needs were tended to.
"Alright, do we have everything?" she asked as she slung her old bag over her shoulder.

Raquel was just ruffling up her own hair, nodding as she slung on her bag as well. She was excited since hr and Lorey hadn't been able to go out in so long. "Yep! Lets go. Are the guys going to drop us off or...?" She asked, knowing they had to go do their tux shopping.

"Richard! Are you two ready?" She stood impatiently at the door until the men showed up. To her surprise, Damian looked just like he had walked out of the Ball Room. It seemed so long ago...
He emerged from the kitchen in a lovely suit, with a freshly pressed white shirt underneath and green tie. He wanted it to be the same color as Raquel's eyes, and thought he should be allowed this bit of sentimentality even if it wasn't quite the same. "I've told Richard to look nice as well. You both look beautiful," he said while adjusting his cuffs.

Raquel immediately blushed. She hadn't seen him in a suit in forever it seemed. She felt slightly underdressed in comparison, wearing a simple short dress, along with the lovely green scar she adored so much. It was getting chilly in Veratia, so she wore a pair of boots that came up past her knees, looking sexy, yet intelligent and stylish, along with a cute black but short pettie coat jacket.
"You look rather dashing yourself..." She smiled, still blushing faintly as she caught herself staring.
Though her embarrassment was cut short when Richard entered, wearing his pressed tan dress pants, crisp white dress shirt, and old but dignifying coat, the pins and badges and buttons all sewn back into place by Lorey. "I'm ready when you all are..." He nodded, fixing his hair which looked longer than when they first met, but still combed and well kept. He would have to get it trimmed soon as well, he reminded himself.

Lorey positively beamed when she saw Richard. "Look at you! I haven't seen that coat in forever. You look so nice, Richard." When he walked over, she fussed over his pins and achievements, and all the buttons she had sewn back on so carefully. She remembered all too well the night he had ripped them off along with his pins, and demanded she sell them to make herself some money to improve her situation. That was behind them, though. The coat was back together, as were their lives.
"So, off we go?" she said to the others.
Damian was smiling in a rather goofy way to Raquel, who was the only one who could make him feel like wearing suit was a special thing and not every day dress. "I'm ready."
