It's not very plausible, but I like it better than Mortal Kombat. Well, there might be a few ways of approaching it, could do it verses a series of movies like Star Wars, verses movies made by a single group like Sam Raimi, or person, or verses a studio like Universal. But it isn't at all likely. That's why I like the Dark Horse idea, they have the Mask, Usagi Yojimbo, Sin City, the Goon, and the Hell Boy series, a lot of interesting characters. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Dark_Horse_Comics_publications

hmm...I like this idea. It doesn't seem so out of place as it did with the DC characters.

Out of place? As in they didn't mix well? DC and MK, hell no. DC, all their characters could just b***h slap any MK character without trying besides Catwoman, who shouldn't have been in the game anyway. DC is to freindly, not edgey for the most part. MK, well, only coasted on gore this far. The characters don't go together, don't seem like they'd really fight, just to conflicting.
But Dark Horse prints so many off the wall comics, very unique characters and such a wide diversity. Same with Arc, lots of characters that break out of archtypes. Amputee samurai woman, transdimensional crazy doctor, crossdressing nun bounty hunter, little girl vampire, insect blob, cyborg swordsman timetraveler and more. All of them verses insane shapeshifting prankster, demonspawn key to the apocalypse, rabbit ronin, goofy barbarian, just imagine Marv verses Potemkin. It'd be awesome. And Faust vs Mask, the world would explode.

Yes, it didn't mix well.
I kinda view MK vs DC as a sell out. Midway basically softened the image of the game. For what? Money. They wanted our nerd dollars. Please see passed our weak a** fighting system and charmless gameplay because you can play as Hal Jordan, please.
You totally read my mind on Marv vs Potemkin. And Faust vs Mask...I think the disc would pull a Mission Impossible and self destruct.
