"Ohh...That would certainly explain it, then." It seemed a little cruel, to Kirsa at least, that Sasha would mess with the poor guy like that, but then again...if she had grown up in this position, she probably would have done something along the same lines, too.

The smaller girl listened to her friend talk as they went along, looking at each display and reading all of the little plaques or signs that went with them; really, she didn't know much about the sea. She just knew that it was very big, very deep, and was kind of hard to fight in. No, she much preferred staying on the ground, thank you. "Wind surfing...? I have never been. It sounds like fun."

The little cadet peered at the models with interest - she had been on the S.S. Anne once when she was a little girl, with her papa. From what she remembered, it had enjoyed herself well enough, but even when she was little there was always a small sort of dislike for being out on the water. Perhaps it was from something that had happened in a previous life or something, because really, she had no explanation for it.

"Mm...they are nice to look at, but nein. I...prefer staying on the ground. I don't like the ocean much." Of course Kirsa knew about all the different kinds of military ships, but other than that she was a bit clueless. While they looked at the rest of the ship models, her mind wandered back to that sailor lad; what kind of ship was he on?

Kirsa pretty much stayed attached to Sasha for the duration of the museum wanderings, silent while she took in the information about the layers of the ocean - the abyssal region sounded kind of scary, even to her -, the Pokemon that lived in it, the Pokemon that used to live in it, currents, even the types of seashells that were in the area. Even though she didn't like the ocean, the purple haired girl rather enjoyed learning about it like this. Museums were just so much better than books. Tch, maybe one day she could make a military museum...

Once they had been to every room and looked at every little thing, Kirsa pulled out her phone to check the time; there was still some time before the conference... "...Hmm. I think I'm going to head outside of town for a little bit and try and catch a Pokemon before the conference starts. You are welcome to join me, if you want."

Crenu wondered the city for a while, not particularly interested in what it had to offer. He was still curious to check out the ocean museum, but he still had plenty of time to do that. Besides, what with the special event and all it might not even be open today. As sunny as it might have been, this town really wasn't his style. Being at the festival turned out to be exactly what he had expected, over crowded and dull at every turn. It seemed that if he wasn't battling, then there was no point in even being here. Despite his apparent dislike for the regions weather and over all cheeriness, he wasn't sorry that he came. He had already met two remarkably strong trainers and had a chance to battle the both of them. He wanted more...no, he needed more. He had already coxed Poliwag into evolving, coming to this event was a necessity and it wasn't over yet. But still, something seemed odd about his pokemon. Poliwag had reverted to his impish tendencies after evolving, and he seemed to be losing control over Hitmonlee as well. As Crenu thought about it, he realized that he only had one badge at the moment. Badges were a sign of power and accomplishment, and somehow pokemon seemed to be able to recognize that in their trainers. It was time to go for another badge after the festival, that appeared to be the logical choice. He only hoped that his pokemon would hold their loyalty until then, though he wasn't worried about Larvitar and Ariados. For whatever personal reasons, they appeared to be the most loyal of his four pokemon. But even still, he was afraid that even they would falter if he didn't get more badges to prove his worth as a trainer. Without realizing it, Crenu had wandered into the pokecenter while in deep though, speaking to himself but not exactly in private. "Wonder if there is a gym near by, doesn"t appear to be one in this city." When he took in his surroundings he sighed, his pokemon could use a quick heal anyway. He gave Nurse Joy three of his pokeballs, keeping Ariados's ball on his belt as a back up. She hadn't been in any battles today so she didn't need to be treated. "Make it quick."

Kilik raised an eyebrow. He couldn't see anything through the sand and the smoke, but he could hear Kasiya's voice. That girl's crazy to go in there...but I admire her care about her Larvitar. He suddenly realized his shoulder was feeling very light. Looking around, he gulped. Cable was gone! He clenched his fist. Now I need to end this battle quick to find Cable! As he was about to issue a command, he noticed a dim white light inside the smoke. "She evolved!" he called out. Kilik heard a rumbling and saw rocks shoot up out of the smoke, each surrounded by a blue aura. "Ancient Power?" he tilted his head.

Weezing floated up out of the smoke, the same dumb look on his face. He didn't see the evolution, or the Ancient Power he managed to avoid by dumb luck. But when the Smokescreen disappeared, he noticed a strange blue thing next to the pretty blond girl. Did she switch Pokemon? What happened? "Weezing!" Kilik called, "It won't take much more! Blast her away with a Flamethrower!" He knew it wouldn't do much, but coupled with everything else he'd done...This had better work. White smoke began to billow out of each of his holes and tears formed in his eyes. His cheeks turned red and he opened his mouth, letting out a stream of fire aimed right at the Pupitar.

Cable dodged another Wing Attack, pretty sure that that's what the large Pelipper had hit him with in that cheap shot. "Ele..." he grumbled, raising his hands above his head. Another ball of electricity formed almost immediately over him. "Kid!" he barked, throwing the Shock Wave forward. The eyeless bird turned with surprising speed and took the full shock directly to his face. With a caw, Pelipper flapped up into the air. The bird shot a Water Gun full force to the ground, which Cable took. He had a great idea! When the stream connected to him, he sent a shock through his body, and a Thundershock right up the stream to its originator. The pirate Pelipper cried out, flapping his wings frantically to keep himself up. Cable clenched his fist. Maybe this was going to be easier than he thought.

The trip went off without a hitch. There was a special on famous submersibles used in Pokemon research, and one of them had scars from an over sized Octillery that got a little too close for comfort. Sasha got a chuckle at Captain Stern's notes that detailed the encounter not dissimilar to that of the Pokemon playing catch with it. It said he had to have his Mantine chase it off. "Spooky."

Walking through the museum reminded her of just how much she liked the open ocean with its beautiful sun and expansive landscape. Maybe when she had enough Pokemon, she could become a boat captian, or, ooh, a pirate! Sasha giggled at the thought of her in stripes and an eye patch, and let out a quiet 'yarr' just to test it out, curving her hand into a hook as she did so. Hm, it needed practice, but it was a definite possibility. She giggled again.

"Well that was fun." Sasha said with a bit of a stretch, something about that museum always made her back so stiff, she could never figure out just what it was.

"...Hmm. I think I'm going to head outside of town for a little bit and try to catch a Pokemon before the conference starts. You are welcome to join me, if you want." said Kirsa in her usual calm and polite tone; she was so cute, my god.

"Nah, I think I'll give you a little break from me," replied the girl. "At least for a little while." She looked at the Azurill doll still nestled comfortably between her arm and chest. "Hm, maybe. Yeah!" Sasha opened her hand to let go of her friend, but the sweat combined with the air conditioned museum had lightly fused their palms together. Growling slightly, she grabbed Kirsa's wrist with her other hand and pulled, their hands coming free with a gross tearing sound. "Ouch!" cried the girl, drawing her hand closer to make sure it was all still there. It was a bit red, but intact. "I've got an errand to run in Mauville, I'll be back in a jiffy. Here's my cell number." Out of her wallet came another card. It had a rather simple but bold design, lots of blacks and grays. On the right it had a picture of a rather sexy looking Sasha in an large button up shirt and tie lying on the floor, her long hair curled into a heart shape. Her long legs shined in the heavy lighting. Bold text on the top read Celedon Modeling Agency "It's my modeling buisness card thing. My manager said it's like a resume, but it's got my cell phone number on it and everything." After recalling Prickles, Sasha took out her bike and unfolded it, still amazed at how they are able to compress such a big contraption into such a small shape. She stuffed her doll in her bag and with a playful wink - which would most likely be lost on her new friend - Sasha rode north to Mauville.

After much lost wandering, Train finally spotted the Pokemon Center again, deciding to make her way over to the red-roofed building and hopefull find her way from there. She made her way through the crown until she was standing outside of the center, standing up on her toes a bit and looking around, before finally spotting the corner of the lockers, which looked pretty far away...though it could've been because of the fact that there were just so many people mobbing on the beach.

Picking up Pikachu, the girl made her way through the crowd, muttering countless, "Excuse me,"s, always seeming to somehow manage to get stuck behind a few people who just didn't seem to notice there were people actually try to move to somewhere else on the beach.

According to the map, Mauville City was just north of Route 110. Those on foot faced a long and windy road covered in Pokemon infested grass and steep drops that lead into the water, which with all the rocks sticking out, didn't look too inviting. Lucky for Sasha though, there was a much more direct path accessible by bike, which she just so happened to be riding at the very moment. "Just like back home. Lucky me!" cheered the girl as she opened the door to the entry house. Behind the counter sat a cute little old man, who wore his wrinkles with a pleasant smile. Sasha waved happily, and felt that warm and cozy feeling when he returned the greeting with one of his own.

"You have a good day young miss!" he called out before taking a sip of his afternoon tea.

"I will," Sasha shouted back. "Thank you!" There was something about happy old people that made her smile.

The wind tossed her hair every which way as Sasha sped down the path to Mauville. The fresh ocean air was no stranger to the area, and she found herself taking more than one deep relaxing breath. The road was mostly empty, save for some people going to and from the beach party and on their otherwise daily routines. While she pedaled away, Sasha looked at the sights around her. Down below she spied a trainer battling a wild Tentacool, who was less than pleased to be caught by the boy's fishing hook. To her right was the open sea, always a welcome sight. Nearing the end of the road, the girl took her feet off the pedals and let momentum do the rest of the work. "Weee!" cried the girl as she picked up speed and tore down the path. The wind grabbed her face and yanked it back, and tears began to form from the biting cold rush of air hitting her eyes. The end of the road was approaching fast, but unlike back home in Kanto, this one had a ninety degree turn. "Uh oh!" she slammed on the brakes, her back tire lifting off the ground slightly before dropping as she came to a stop. "Woo-hoo! That was great! What a stupid idea for a road with bikes but still great!" Her legs quivered slightly as the adrenaline wore off and she started pedaling again, making her way through the little house. She waved to the guard, who was much less friendly than the old man, instead choosing to keep to his newspaper. "Well fine then." sneered the girl as she left the station.

A few minutes of biking later Sasha reached the city. A giant sign decorated the entrancey, it read: The bright and shiny city of fun! "Ooh-hoo hoo!" preened the girl with an excited clap. "This place must have a killer night life!" She'd have to check this place out sometime later.

Her face practically buried in her map, Sasha rode around for a good twenty minutes before finally arriving at the Pokemon Daycare center right on the edge of the city. Wasting no time, she walked right in.

The inside of the Daycare Center was quaint, plain, and welcoming. Inside was a simple counter with a simple brown tint and behind it sat a simple old woman, who Sasha wasn't certain awake or not. She stood there and stared at her for a moment, the woman not moving an inch. Was she dead? That would be just what she needed. "Uh, hello?" Sasha said quietly, hoping that she wasn't waking the poor woman.

"Hello child!" the woman replied instantly, causing Sasha to nearly jump out of her bathing suit. "Welcome to the Daycare Center, can I help you?"

It took Sasha a second to recover from the shock. "Uh yes, I'd like to see if you had any specific Pokemon eggs in stock. I would very much like one of these." She dug through her bag and picked out her Azurill doll, handing it to the old lady. "I'll pay whatever the price." Being rich certainly had its perks.

The woman eyed the plush with intensity, muttering to herself as she inspected it. "Why yes dear we do have a few of these Pokemon out back if you'd like to take a look." she handed back the doll to Sasha.

"Oh yes please!" Sasha's voice rang out with glee at the offer. "I'd love to!" she nearly twisted the poor doll's head off in excitement.

"Come this way then." the woman opened a little door beside the counter and motioned for Sasha to follow out back.

Outside were more Pokemon than Sasha had ever seen in her life. There were Golbat and Onix and Bellsprout and other Pokemon she'd never seen before. A baby Totodile was happily gnawing on its mother's tail, much to her annoyance. Two Sunflora, possibly mates, were rooted to the ground and enjoying the sunlight. A group of Poliwags were swimming together in the lake. "Woah." was all the girl could say at the vast amount of Pokemon present.

"Follow me dear." the old woman led Sasha to a small cove by the lake, where two Pokemon that looked like evolved versions of her Azurill doll were relaxing in the shallow pool of water beside their nest. Inside there were three eggs. "You may pick whichever one you like." said the old woman. She went over and gave the two Pokemon a pat on the head.

Sasha's eyes lit up. She knelt down and looked at each of the eggs. For the most part they looked the same, except for one that had a few more spots than the other two. "Hm..." her face scrunched up as she tried to think of which one to pick. As she fought this internal battle, the spotty one shook slightly. Sasha slowly put her hand on the egg; it was warm, really warm! "Ooh, I'll take this one!" the girl jumped up and down like she was five years old again on Christmas.

"Very well," replied the woman. "Let's go back inside and get the paperwork all taken care of."

With a juvenile giggle Sasha scooped up the egg, pressing it up against her chest for warmth. She took off after the old woman, and soon was back inside. In no time she had signed the basic documents, paid with her credit card and was speeding off back to the beach party on Cycling Road with her new egg safe in her bag.

Upon hearing Jun's suggestion both Aidan and the small ghost gave him a look like he was crazy, or rather they just turned a blank stare towards him. Aidan had seen, briefly the way that Jun had driven before getting hit by him and he had no interest in being in that deathtrap with him. He would much rather walk on a gimp leg and risk it not healing right then get killed in the car. The ghost pokemon was either following Aidan's thoughts, just didn't like Jun, or just liked to copy what Aidan did. Either way it was clear the small ghost or Aidan wanted nothing to do with that metal deathtrap. "I think I will just walk." He stated flatly before reaching down and attempting to pick up his destroyed bike.

Wincing slightly at the normally not to bad weight that now put a strain on his side he manged to pick it up. Looking it over he sighed slightly, the wheels were all bent out of shape and there was no way he could even roll this back to town. He didn't want to leave it though, not that he was worried that someone would take it now in the state it was anyway. Well, this trip hadn't been totally bad, he had found the thing that had been watching him, now it was following him, he also needed a new bike now. Fantastic. This day for him was just not turning out to well. In fact if Aidan was a superstitious person he would believe that Jun was the reason for all of his bad luck.

Behind him the little ghost skull pokemon hovered close to him all the while keeping an eye out on the thing that had hit his friend. Well he hoped the bright haired boy was his friend, he had heard the little girl talking about him and he had wanted to be his friend as well. So he had followed the girl all around in hopes to learn more about him and maybe meet him! Eventually he did get to see him when he found the little girl crying in the closet for some reason.

The beach party was just as she'd left it: crowded, loud and filled with food shops. All that biking had left her with one crazy appetite, so she picked up another burger and took it with her to the beach where she and her egg would spend some quality R&R time.

The pavement was almost scalding hot, Sasha had to practically prance and hop up and down to avoid burning her feet off. This of course proved to be a good spectator sport for the nearby guys. "This is embarrassing" Sasha said with an angry snort as she heard a sharp wolf whistle from her left. She loved the attention, but not when she was jumping around like an idiot on a frying pan.

She eventually made it to the sandy beaches of Slateport. Come to think of it, she had totally left her towel and umbrella behind when she went with Kirsa to go get something to eat. "Whoops." Ah well, it was still there, and that was all that mattered. Sasha strut over to her towel, placing her back gently on the ground. She released her loyal guard cactus, who was still working on his second beef patty, and gave him the details about her new egg. "Something that looks just like this," she held up her Azurill doll. "is gonna come out of that," she pointed to the egg. "I want you to guard it if I end up falling asleep and wake me if it does happen to hatch alright?" Prickles gave a stiff salute, the patty hanging from his mouth providing a comical image.

"I can always count on you solider!" replied Sasha, returning the salute. "You have your orders, now move out!" The girl knelt down and brushed the small bit of sand on her blanket off before placing her egg in the hot sand. She giggled at Prickles, who paced back and forth, completely focused on his duty. "What am I gonna do with you?" Sasha said with a smile as she took a bit from her extra mushroom and onion burger. When she was finished with her food, fatigue hit her like a brick in the face. Sasha yawned, and fell back onto her soft blanket. Within moments she was loudly snoring under the protective shade of her blanket and the watchful eye of her Pokemon.

"Dumb s**t," Jun said, brows furrowing. He didn't take rejection too well, Ronnie the Jynx thought to herself, standing quietly next to her master.

Frankly, though, it pissed the Heracross out of Jun that the guy was being so unreasonable. Well, okay, he had reasons, but still, did Aidan think Jun was so heartless as to say, "Alright, see you later!" and hop in his car and speed away while Aidan was limping off so ... so goddamn feebly like that. With a surprisingly burst of speed that was fairly unnecessary (since Aidan wasn't running off that fast or anything), Jun appeared at the guy's side, and anticipating a no this time, arbitrarily picked him up. That's right. Jun picked the fellow up like he was nothing more by a sexy sandbag.

"Damnit, I don't do good deeds often, but can you please shut up and let me take you home so you don't come back at 2 AM and Jenny doesn't decapitate me for leaving you out here?" the man muttered angrily, his usual uptown civility taking the backseat for now. Not waiting for an answer to his rhetorical question, he stormed back to the patrol car and stuck him none-too-gently in the backseat, which of course would not open from the inside (it was intended for criminals, after all). Leeron waddled to grab the bike that had dropped to the ground, and idly began to fix it with her Psychic abilities. A little resistant, it being metal in all, but by the time she took the passenger seat it at least took the shape of a bike again. Thank god Jenny's car was so chunk and tank-like, it gave her quite a bit of room.

It was difficult to hear what was going on from where Keegan was lounging on the bench, and he sat up slowly, able to at least see that Kasiya's Larvitar was losing control out there on the battlefield. "Excuse me, Mitsu," he said, nodding politely to the purple-haired girl and he took a few steps forward but stopped. "Uh, thanks, again," he added before he turned again and continued walking. He was well aware of the fact that little Ada didn't want to evolve and that Kasiya had spent a lot of energy to try and get her to do so, but now he feared that they were at an impasse and it was affecting them during battle. The smoke and the sand made it difficult to navigate his way around the battle and the people who were watching, though the howling winds did nothing to stop him from hearing some of the comments the spectators were making.

"Good thing it's just a puny Larvitar and not a Tyranitar," one older boy, approximately of Keegan's age, was laughing, "otherwise the whole city could be destroyed." The kids hanging around him all nodded and laughed in agreement, though Keegan felt a familiar surge of anger shoot through him.

"That ain't nice to say, so shut it," he growled at the boy, who only laughed harder as response. "I mean it."

"What, are you her boyfriend or something?" came the retort, followed by more raucous laughter.

Keegan just folded his arms across his chest and raised an eyebrow, not at all surprised by the lame response. "Actually, yeah, I am," he replied after a moment or to. "So like I said, shut it." Okay seriously, he wasn't expecting it to really do anything, but at least he could defend Kasiya's honor and feel good about it. Now, couple that thought with the unexpected shove from behind he suddenly received from the obnoxious boy and that was it - Keegan hadn't planned on going out and randomly starting fights with idiots today but he couldn't let that shove go without reciprocation. "Alright then... if that's how you want it," he muttered, after having righting himself due to a few staggered steps, "so be it!" He spun around quickly and swung with his right, catching the punk squarely in the jaw. He hadn't counted on landing such a hit from that angle and the boy crumpled, much to Keegan's surprise and disappointment. His hand and arm were now aching from the impact but at the same time it felt good, and without looking up at the others he simply grinned. "Anyone else?" The other kids were silent by this point and they all backed off, allowing Keegan to move past them without incident. He smirked again. "Thought so."

"So that... was Morty?" Miharu mused aloud, watching as he opened the door to the Ecruteak gym and went inside. "He's confident..." She let out a sigh and put her hands into the pockets of her jeans. "Well, it's now or never." She took a deep, deep breath and headed towards the gym doors after Morty. Once she was inside she was a little surprised to see that it was still somewhat dark inside, and stretching out before her was what looked like an immense black carpet. Miharu studied it for a moment before she moved forward... and just like that it was as though she were falling down, down, down... and she landed, right back where she started. "What the hell is this?" she demanded, her stomach still recovering from the vertigo.

"The Ecruteak Gym puzzle," came a voice from nearby, and as Miharu got to her feet she saw a girl, a few years older than she, coming forward. She was dressed like a shrine maiden and Miharu felt as though this girl were quite wise for her age. "The floor is invisible, and if you fall through, you must start again."

"That's rough," the smaller girl sighed, scratching her head.

"It's tricky," the maiden replied. "Though if you can defeat me in a battle, I'll give you a hint." Miharu smiled and nodded - with an invisible floor, she was wiling to take all the help she could get.

To say Aidan was surprised when he suddenly found himself off of the ground and in Jun's unexpectedly strong arms. He had never really been manhandled like this before, in fact most people tended to avoid grabbing him let alone pick him up. The only other person Aidan knew who would dare to pick him up was Calder, now he had to add Jun onto the list as well. To say that he was embarrassed would once again be an understatement. Unable to stop the embarrassed flush to his checks Aidan just hoped that the other wouldn't notice as he was tossed into the back of the patrol car. Groaning slightly as he landed partially on his hurt side he sat up and watched as the Jynx fixed his bike, sorta.

Ok maybe on the inside he was kinda glad he was getting a ride back, he was still scared for his life with Jun behind the wheel though. He just didn't know how he would have been able to make it back by morning if he had to take care of his injured leg and bring the bike back. It also seemed like he would have had to look after the small ghost as well since it seemed to like him for some reason. He held back a small smile as he watched it float around worriedly for a second before phasing through the car door and into the patrol car and back seat with him. "I don't know why you keep following me or what you are even but please don't cause any trouble while you are." The small ghost stared at him for a moment before it nodded and settled down on the bottom part of the police car.

Inside they both hoped that they would make it back to town alive.

The PokeCenter, as predicted, was packed -- partially why M.A., already submerged in conversation with her brother, hardly could have noticed Crenu and any other familiar souls in the mini-hospital. Instead, the girl simply dropped Ulani and the Smeargle off before weaseling out of the crowd back into the oh so lovely, gratuitous open air; as much as she liked people watching, she certainly could do without swarming, half-naked bodies all over the place.

With all the volume in that place, M.A. figured that it'd take about half an hour for the two to be looked after, even though they were hardly tousled around. Well, a little rest for them would be fine. "In fact, a little rest for all of us wouldn't hurt," M.A. yawned, leaning back into empty picnic table they found at the edge of the little park facing the sea. The sun was just beginning to dip, maybe, although it was still very bright out. M.A. couldn't help but wonder how many times the sun had set before the Smeargle's eyes; in her hands she held the artist's sketchbook, though she had decided to respect his property and not look into it unless he gave her his ok.

Saebum looked at her quizzically, but was accustomed to the girl enough to figure out that her thoughts had merged into her speech again. "Yeah. It's nice to relax... Why don't you bring Daemyn and Tora out, too? For some fresh air."

She nodded with a little smile and let the two out.

The first thing Daemyn saw was M.A.'s perpetual smile and that hooligan brother of hers. The next thing he saw was a hulking elephant-wrecking ball thing. Oh, was this a battle? The fat thing looked like she'd be a challenge! Not a bad opponent to pick, Daemyn thought. M.A. usually didn't look for fights, so whoever this guy's trainer was must've challenged her.

Deciding to take the initiative, Daemyn bounded forwards, thirsty fangs seeking that fat-lard-tank's jugular instinctively.

Tora, thinking what the hell, rolled herself into a Rollout. If Daemyn wanted a battle, he could have one! Though it was kinda random, M.A. didn't even say anything.

"Uh... Daemyn, Tora... you guys should stop," M.A. said, but her quiet voice was drowned out by their collision. She sighed. "Here we go again," she shrugged, figuring there wasn't a way to stop them now and not exactly caring too much to figure out how, so long as they didn't cause any damage for any public property. It wouldn't hurt for these two hard-headed kids to wrestle a little bit, they usually liked that kinda stuff anyways.

"If you insist." Not that Kirsa was tired of Sasha, because she wasn't, but if the other girl wanted some time to herself then she would comply. The purple haired girl helped in the endeavor to separate their hands, giving her arm a good tug to free it. Ugh....the fact that Sasha's hand stuck to hers THROUGH the material of her glove was...Kirsa wrinkled up her nose and shook her hand some. She would definitely be washing these gloves tonight. Taking the card with her clean hand she peered at it curiously; why was it not surprising that Sasha was a model? Like at all? Looking vaguely amused Kirsa nodded some and got out her phone, entering the number and saving it. There. The first phone number that wasn't work-related or food-related.

Of course the wink went right over Kirsa's head. She just waved her friend off, then ducked back into the museum to wash her hands and take out the extra pair of gloves from her bag, slipping them on and depositing the used pair into the bag. Definitely washing those later, it just wasn't natural. With that being done Kirsa ventured out again, weaving her way through the crowds toward the same route Sasha had disappeared toward. She wasn't even really sure what kind of Pokemon lurked out on the route, but it was worth a look-see, and at the very least it could provide more training for Hans. Speaking of...

Kirsa took up his Pokeball and released the Houndour once she had set foot outside of town. "" She set off along the dirt path, chatting away to the Houndour that was trotting along at her side; if anyone were to overhear her, it would probably just sound like she was speaking gibberish. ""

Oh, yes. He could think of at least one trainer's Pokemon he wanted to be pitted again. Kilik and that damned Elekid of his! Hans nodded his head some, feeling determined once more to train hard and become strong as quickly as possible, keeping a sharp eye out for signs of movement in the trees to the side of the path - anything that he could battle against.

The little cadet turned down route 103, but that little venture was short lived, as soon the pair were standing at the water's edge. Looks like there was no crossing...Wasn't there a move water-types could learn which they could then use to ferry their trainers across water? Surely she had remembered reading about it. She would have to get a water Pokemon eventually... "<...Tch. Looks like we have to turn back. Maybe we can check the grass by the entrance to town...>" Pouting a little, Kirsa peered at she and Hans' reflections in the water; she really didn't want to be at this very long. Well, she could always come back out here after dark, maybe...Turning about to head back, Kirsa stopped in her tracks. A short distance down the path, sniffing away at some unknown scent - Probably hers and the Houndour's - was a canine-looking Pokemon.

A Poochyena.

The mostly purple-clad teenager walked onto the beach in completely unappropriate attire, his trenchcoat-type jacket hanging to the ankles of the black boots that went about halfway up his shins. Seeming completely oblivious to the people around him, he simply ignored the looks he got from some of them and continued on, his Misdreavus trailing closely behind him, a little overwhelmed by all the people that were roaming on the beach and in the town.

It hadn't been his idea to start out here; his parents had thought it would be a good oppurtunity to meet people and make friends, rather than start out by himself. Even though he'd insisted he'd make friends on the way--he really hadn't wanted to try and make some stupid grand entrance as a trainer by throwing himself into the middle of some party--his parents had inisisted, and the pleading looks on their face had finally won him over, and they'd dropped him off using his mother's Salamance. So, here he was, making his way through a bunch of people in bathing suits during his first day as goal-oriented Pokemon Trainer, having absolutely no idea who any of these people were and not having the slightest hope that he'd find anyone he knew here, seeing as how they were all either back home or had no interest in parties or Pokemon training.

Making his way along the beach, he spotted a rather large sandstorm, and, seeing as how there was really nothing else for him to do, he made his way towards it, intending to watch whatever was going on, though he assumed it was obviously a battle. As he neared the spot and the sand died down a bit, he could, in fact, see a couple of Pokemon standing across from each other. He could also see, however, a red-haired boy punching the lights out of some other kid, whom he sidled up to and said rahter bluntly, "Kid must've pissed you off pretty bad, huh?" Probably not the way his parents had intended for him to "meet people", but, hey, no one ever said he was gonna be all that great at it.
