Sil bound into the room via the kitchen door, perhaps entirely too cheery. She was carrying a carefully held mug that she magically managed to splash all over everything with her chipper gait. As she spotted Lavi she couldn't help but cover a quiet laugh at how terribly uninterested he looked. "My, my, that must be enthralling," she said sarcastically. "What's the subject matter for today, Philosophy of Grass Growing and Watching Paint Dry?"

Liv hadn't noticed Kiah until she was addressed, and when she was, she nearly jumped out of her skin in surprise. She turned to face Kiah, straightening up with a small smile on her face. She wasn't sure what Kiah's reaction to Luci would be, but she couldn't very well not introduce her. With a bit of fidgeting, she greeted the other young woman.
"Oh...Kiah...hello...," she cleared her throat a little, "..This is Luci. My daughter," she looked down at Luci, "Luci, this is my friend Kiah. Say hello."
Luci smiled brightly up at Kiah, "Hello Miss Kiah!" she made a small curtsy.
Liv looked back to Kiah with a small, nervous smile.

Lavi looked up when Sil spoke, smiling exasperatingly at her comment. "It might as well be..." he sighed, tossing the book on the low table next to the couch. He shifted his position on the couch, pulling his legs underneath him and propping his elbow up on the arm of the couch to rest his head in his hand. "You're cheerful today... any particular reason?"

"Ohhhhh...," Kiah looked between the two in surprise, remembering that she'd been told during Christmas that Liv had a daughter. She didn't know the exact arrangement with the father, or who he even was, but she'd been wondering why the child had never visited before.
"Well, hello Luci! It's a pleasure to meet you!" Kiah grinned, clutching her coat and mimicking the girl's curtsy in greeting. She gave Liv a reassuring smile back and unconsciously crouched a bit to include Luci as she addressed them both. "I didn't hear we'd be having a visitor," she hinted, looking between the two happily.

((LOL WHY IS EVERYONE SUSPICIOUS. She's not always filled with piss and vinegar.
Okay yeah she is but... >__> ))
She pulled a face at him, something between a duck and a pout, though it certainly didn't last long before it was breaking into a smile again. "Well first, coffee and caffeine are God's greatest creation." She held up the coffee mug then. "Secondly... Well... I had a problem and it's fixed now, and I feel a lot better not worrying about it. Thirdly, it's not raining, I haven't managed to get into any trouble today and there's this guy I know and I think he likes me~" Her smile was cheeky then.
"The real question is why aren't you cheery today?" She did a little soutenu, the liquid still miraculously staying in the cup until she plopped down on the couch next to him. It was only then that a drop splatted onto her arm.

Liv continued to smile, "That's right."

Lavi nodded along with her reasoning, leaning back against the couch and crossing his arms. He smiled a little at the end, stretching his legs to prop them on the table. "Shouldn't that be reason number one?"
"Because I was being made to read boring books..." He shrugged and smiled at her as she sat down on the couch. "I've cheered up a little now though."

Kiah blinked and shot Liv a questioning look before turning back to Luci with a smile. "Is that so? Have you been having a lot of fun so far?"
"Has she been settling in well with all the chaos...?" she directed to Liv, wondering if she'd witnessed any of Komui's idiotic experiments since she'd arrived. She was curious to know more about the situation, but held back because of Luci, and in case Liv didn't want to talk to her about it.

Liv brushed off the look easily, though she knew she'd have some explaining to do later, "Yes, she loves it here, actually," she laughed a little, "But we were just going into the Common Room. Is that where you were headed?"
Liv smiled and gave Kiah a wave to join them as she entered the room with Luci at her side. It didn't take more than a second before Luci's hand had been wrenched from hers.
The instant Luci spotted Lavi she bolted for him. Flinging herself into his lap, she clambered around and wrapped her arms about his neck, "Lavi, Lavi, Lavi!" she squealed happily and squeezed his neck tightly,"....Oh and Miss Sil is here, too!" she added happily when she finally noticed the woman after a few minutes of gleefully hugging the red-head.
Liv's hand became plastered to her face as she was again embarrassed by Luci's outburst.

"I didn't say I liked him back," she teased, giving him a coquettish gaze through her eyelashes. "So it's only a half victory."
She settled her cup onto the coffee table hoping he wouldn't kick it over with any movements and crouched, facing him with her feet pressing into the couch cushions. "A little is too little, we'll just have to--"
The sudden squealing caught her off guard as a little blur of brown curls and lace wrapped around Lavi's neck. Though she was surprised, she flopped back a little and laughed at the girl's excitement. "Well hey there Luci," she giggled. "I see you two have met already! I guess that means introductions aren't necessary."
Noting Liv making her way into the room, she gave her a hearty wave. "I think you lost something."

"Well that's good." Kiah nodded to Liv's question and followed them throught the doorway, watching the young girl shoot off to throw herself at Lavi, laughing at the adorible display. "Well, it looks like she's getting to know everyone."
"Hey Sil, Lavi. How's it going?" she waved, taking a seat on a chair in the room and watching the young girl. She tried to keep the smile off her face at Liv's exasperation, but quickly failed. "She seems to have a lot of energy."

Lavi had been wondering what Sil was going to suggest they do to cheer him up even more when someone jumped into his lap, startling him. "Luci!" he exclaimed happily as the little girl clung around his neck, chuckling at her enthusiasm. "Always so cheerful."
He gave Liv and Kiah a wave from behind Luci's curls. "Hello~. Doing alright." He nodded, answering Kiah's question.

Liv laughed as she waved at Sil, "Yes, that seems to happen a lot...she's getting so much bolder these days, it's hard to keep up with her," she gave the young woman an apologetic smile, feeling bad that Luci had interrupted.
She looked back to Kiah and nodded, "I told her about most everyone already, and she's definitely taken to some people rather quickly. Mostly the people that promise to get her gifts..," she gave Lavi a little glance but smiled, "Far, far too much energy for her own good.."
"I'm really sorry about that Lavi," she called to him as she walked over to the couch and took up the spot next to him opposite the side Sil was on, "She's just so very taken with you...I guess I really built you up in all the stories," she laughed lightly.
"I'm always happy to see you, Lavi!" she let her arms slip from his neck as she settled down more comfortably in his lap.
"Luci, are you going to ask Lavi if you can sit there? It's awfully rude to just assume that you're allowed to be in his lap," Liv told the girl sternly.
Luci's lips immediately puffed outwards in a small pout, but she did as she was told and looked up at Lavi, "Is it alright if I sit here with you?" she turned on her charm with batting eyelashes, "Please?"

"Only alright she emphasized to Lavi's answer to Kiah. "Even with a cute kiddo in his lap he's only alright. There's just something not right in the world today," she gathered her coffee cup again before curling up in the nearest chair by Kiah. She was dividing her attention between both groups, a soft smile as her heart was warmed by the little girls innocent, childish actions and also was curious as to when her and Lavi had become so closely acquainted.
"So... Kiah," Sil drawled as she turned her attention back to her, quirking a slowly lifted eyebrow at the unsuspecting young woman. "I've been hearing some rumors lately..."

"Awww, you should be more excited!" Kiah exclaimed, still laughing at the little girl in his lap. She seemed to be quite taken by the redhead, and she wondered exactly why until Liv spoke up from the couch.
"So that's the deal, huh?" she glanced knowingly at Lavi and smiled. "That's never a bad thing, Liv. I'm sure she'll find something to use it all for some day."
"Hmmm?" Kiah blinked at the older woman beside her, not really understanding what Sil was talking about, or why she would be coming to her about rumors. "Uh... what kind of rumors, exactly?"
