As you can see, I can't even keep my wife from walking into a war zone. I thought if I installed a law system in the Nexus that things would be safer. That idiocy like Tony Stark's ego-fueled war games against the 'villains' would die out.
I see now that I was wrong. The myriad of people here are too different, come from too many kingdoms. There's so rarely just the black and white of good and bad. Shades of gray the entire Nexus through.
Even you show that. You've got a ring for Greed and a ring for Hope. How do you reconcile that in your mind?

Fables Snow White ::enters:: I never get used to seeing this place like this... Ahhh, to be fair,m the Bistro HAS looked worse before. Lucifer has some . . . unusual . . . ideas about decorating that often clash with Remy's. As soon as I'm sure that Bullseye and Sabretooth have found more amusing places to rampage, I'll work on a more cohesive repair plan. For now? Basics and clearing the rubble will have to suffice.

We're complex beings. No one is fueled by only one emotion. And I, for one, truly hope for the betterment of mankind.
I also hope to make a profit FROM the betterment of mankind.

You can't possibly delude yourself into thinking that everyone in the Nexus is going to just bow at your feet. They're going to fight you down to the last man, until either you're defeated or they are.

Eventually, I'm sure. They may even find a way to destroy the LXes. But before they do, I'll settle certain outstanding accounts. After that?
Well. We'll cross that bridge when we come to it.

As you can see, my wife is frowning. She does that a lot.
I'm tired of it.
This is just fair warning. As soon as I'm back to 100%, I'm going to fix my mistake, and I'm going to help take you out.

Interesting. They act as if they've never pursued revenge before. Well, I suppose they have reason enough now.

We can hear you. Don't worry, Ms. White. You're not one of those outstanding acccounts. At least, not with me. I don''t know if Bullseye or Sabretooth have a bone to pick with you, and I honestly don't care.

Dox. Querl Dox. He went on his little rampage last year. He stole personal property fromk me and several other people because HE was unable to maintain his self control. Then when it was all done, when his crimes were revealed?
"Oh, that's okay, Brainy! We realize that it wasn't you, it was just the ring forcing you to act!"
Well, it's not okay. He got off scot free, and acts like it's some ordeal for someone to even MENTION his crimes.
There's also an old rivalry with a certain Kryptonian, but Dox has pushed Kal-El to my second priority.
