Zahara watched to make sure they were both doing exactly as they were told and pulled three cookies out of the jar, holding them for when her son danced back over to her with a grin. "Good job, Kelligrin. So, here's a cookie for you and one for Rawr and here's one for Daddy." Handing it to Sevilin. "He gets a kiss too but that's our little secret." Giving her son a wink and then tugging her husband forward and planting one on him.
Kelligrin couldn't care less since he'd taken his and Rawr's cookie and scampered back over to the blanket, settling down. He set Rawr's in front of him and explained to the dragon exactly why he was getting a cookie and how he shouldn't be mean anymore. Breaking his own in half, he ate a bite and began building the houses back up. "If Rawr's not mean no more then I guess I can't knock down the houses. What should we build, Daddy?"

He grinned as he earned extra reward. "Not just a cookie goddess are you? I know your game." Giving a pleasant chuckle and a light nuzzle to her before looking to his son again as he was called and he strolled back over to him, crouching. "How about a build castle? There's enough blocks and with the threat of Rawr gone, we won't have to worry about it being knocked down."

"A castle?" Yes, that was a very good idea and Rawr was being good so that was even better. He began stacking the blocks and was reaching for another one when a blood-curdling scream lit through the house and he threw himself into his father's arms just as his mother very nearly passed out.
Zahara grabbed the counter, bracing herself against it and glanced upstairs. Her bonds were majorly spiking and she had an overwhelming feeling of her son in danger. "Sevilin. Now."
He was thrashing, fighting off whatever happened to be coming at him in one form or another and not succeeding. Tangled up in the sheets, his body was soaked with sweat and he moaned then lashed out once again.

And that all went bad very very fast as first his child clung to him and his wife looked faint at that scream. Picking up Kelligrin, he got up and handed the baby over to his mother before heading upstairs at a fast walk to his son's room. Striding over to the bed, he took hold of hte boy by the upper arms to help still him as he sat on the edge of the bed. That worry was back a a vengence. "Zykariel, tell me what's wrong."

He was reliving the attack in bright color, the smell of his own blood leaving his body overwhelming his senses while he was kicked in the chest repeatedly. He clawed at the hands trying to hold him down, magic backfiring with a shatter of the water glass on his bedside table. He jerked again and managed to free one of his wrists, punching wildly and catching his father in the face. "LEAVE ME ALONE!"

And that was bad, though this was more or less nothing to physically handle for Sevilin, this was going to get him on the emotional levels later but right now it was live by the moment. With his son shattering glass and throwing punches, he shook off the pain that he was used to not dealing with anyway. Reaffirming his hold on the boy, he pulled him out of bed and with a flick of a wrist emplyed the runes to restrain the child as he held him up. "Come on son, snap out of it." Yeah the emotion was going to suck later.

There was no fighting to get loose from runes since they immobilized even the most powerful mage. His father was hard to defeat that way. He snapped out of reverie to find himself completely paralyzed and immediately began to panic, even more so when he glanced down and saw his father looking worried. "Daddy..." He actually whimpered.
Zahara was attempting to calm Kelligrin down who was less than happy over what the D'vinn children referred to as rocks in their head. Bonds were acting up and that always affected everyone else in the family. Her own spiked for a moment as her son panicked but she calmed her fight response since Sevilin was with him. "Shh, Kelligrin. Zykariel's fine. Daddy's with him."

Soon as the boy calmed down, he let those runes go and moved to his son again, lifting the boy up gently so as not to aggrivate his injuries and pulled him to his chest, holding him like he used to when the boy was a child save he wasn't in his lap. A hand at his son's back in familiar motions as well, trying to soothe him. "It's alright Zykariel, everything is fine and I'm right here." Doing a quick runic check though to make sure his son hadn't made his wounds bleed. "Just a reveire, you're safe. You know that. I've always kept you face...and you playing big bad teenager doesn't change that."

He was highly upset, having gone back to a time in his life that he didn't like to remember. A time where he'd watched his father fend off attackers that had then found him and chased him. Dad had saved him then, too, since mom was nowhere to be found and he couldn't quite remember what had happened to his attackers. Near as he could remember, he'd never seen them again. He hadn't been very old either, certainly young enough to still use the childish form of his father's name, which had manifested itself back when he'd been yanked from it. Burying his face in his father's chest, he shuddered and then nodded. "I know. I just hate bad reveries."

Satisfied with his son's state of body, he lifted his eyes to the room, looking to the broken glass and such to take inventory of it. After all, his sone was hurt and the last thing he needed was his son getting up and hurting himself on a forgotten piece of glass. Had been a long while since his son had broken glass from a lack of control. "Bad reveries and you're probably getting that heavy feeling you used to get when you were younger." Moving a hand through his son's bed tangled hair. "What did you reverie about?" Though the tone said it was rhetorical and if he didn't want ot talk about it he didn't have to. "Need anything?" Trying to appease the child as best as he could.

"Yeah...I'm sorry about whatever I broke. Don't tell Mom, okay? Last thing he needed was her fussing over him, and they both knew the way she would, too. He glanced around the room for a moment as if trying to reorient himself to his surroundings, then opted to focus on his father. "I was being chased by that group that wanted you. Remember? When I was almost four? Right after Mom came to live with us permanently, but she wasn't around. I forget why..." Hesitating a moment and then chewing on his lower lip. "Company would be nice. I don't want to reverie anymore and since I'm on bedrest, I'll die of boredom up here."

"Don't worry about it. Just something that can be replaced." Trying to think on the memory that his son was speaking of but it wasn't particularly coming to mind. Or maybe it was something he had purposefully tried to block out...he was good at that at least in the waking world anyway. "You never were one to stay put, no matter what condition you were in. Doesn't surprise me that you want to be up and about. Just not too much okay?" Releasing his hold on his son slightly to that he could look at the boy, "I'll stay. We can bond overly manly things such as how you're going to want to keep your new wound for a while, at least in appearance, just to show off."

"I know. Can't have mom all worried and upset because I'm not getting better the way I should be. Don't worry, I won't pull out my stitches." Giving a grin and tugging open his buttoned tunic to show off the jagged scar. "I was stabbed, and I survived. I think that's a pretty major thing to be able to show off. Ladies love a wounded hero after all, and I was protecting a woman's honor. That gets me extra play with them."

"You pull them out and she'll put them back in. I know. Besides, they'll come out by morning. We just want to make sure magic isn't going to mess you up more first." It seemed that he had indeed decided to hit on the right subject, bringing up his son's love to impress and his affections towards women to help turn his mind from other things that were better not thought about. "Well, from that experience you just had I do hope you're more selective with your playing." His son, still acting like he knew a woman in the sheets. Silly boy. "And they'll expect more of you, you know. Just how women are."

"In the morning?!" he sounded horrified by the very thought. "How is that going to help me with the ladies, Dad? Elves don't scar, remember?" Shaking his head. No he'd have to insist they stay in for at least a couple of days or no one would even know he was stabbed. Perhaps there'd be no adverse effects if they were left it in for just a bit longer. He'd ask his mother soon enough. "If they want a relationship, I'm just not their guy. I like playing the field and that does not make me a player. They all know the deal when they take up with me after all. Besides, half of them are only there because I'm a winner. I refuse to give everything to a woman as fickle as that."
