"Do you want me to go get a cold, wet cloth to put over them? It might help." Lily offered, sitting up a bit unsteadily, prepared to stand if he said yes.

River watched quietly and sipped at her drink, It was dark in the room where she stood only because she hesitated to turn the lights on but when she did they burnned her eyes so she just kept them low. Watching the dead fireplace she couldn't help but think something was wrong somewhere, since Silent did leave for a bit. Her eyes bore into the charred wood of the place and her body fought the urge to move as she rested there. Pink hairs had surfaced again her activity was starting to pester her greatly. If the angel spoke the truth going outside was safe but not without attack. Narrowing the black orbs she growled and the fireplace raged with life, she sighed after, head ach apparent now.

"I'm alright," Arlen said, pulling his hand away and blinking a few times as his eyes adjusted to the light.

"I'm glad." Lily murmured, sounding relieved for multiple reasons, and lay back down on the couch, her eyes closing. "Hello River." she greeted quietly.

lurching forward hair moved behind her, and River started walking slowly towards the pit of the fireplace. Eyes glazed over a bit she inhaled deeply, sitting herself down, legs crossed as she sighed deeply and drank more of her dark bitter liquid."Lily are you-" She paused and smiled," I'll ask questions later; good morning though how are you?"

"Still recovering, For a while I didn't think I was going to Live." She said stating the obvious," Lily, I wish I knew why people lied.." She said quietly her eyes scaning the newly formed fire ahead of her.

Lily bit her lower lip, then shrugged. "I think a lot of people wished they knew that, River." she whispered.

"...Are you sure you are alright?" River looked at lily, relaly Looked at her trying to pick out anything that was diffrent, first it was her hair, staring into the color of it not moving her eyes fromit. Her hair turns pink she didn't know how other peoples would look." Please tell me.."

It took a while for his vision to focus again, and when it did he almost wished it hadn't. It physically and emotionally pained him to see Lily like that. "I thought we had more time," he whispered, hugging Lily to him.

Lily, already flushed red with her fever, blushed in embarrassment, and she hugged Arlen back tightly. The few white hairs stood out starkly from the black, as did the small patches of white fur on her ears and tail. "I'm fine... really. This is only the first stage. We do have time."

"...I'm missing something, Arn't I?.." River asked slightly helplessly then she figured she would have to ask. Watching Arlen his words what did it mean? River looked again, hopeing she would find something, anything that could help her understand.
"Wha- Are you Ill? How Ill must you be to have diffrent.." It clicked same symtoms she thought she was fine but," Lily are you..Passing this life?" She hated the word dieing, or going to die, it was horrid to think about.

"No." Lily told River firmly, jaw set stubbornly. "It's just a little curse, is all. No need to worry about me, I'll be fine." Then she looked to Arlen and felt her heart break a little, running her fingers through his hair. "Love, I don't... I don't know what anyone can do." she whispered. "I need my books..."

"It you say so." River said slowly and turned to looka t the fire," HAve you been outside yet? Silent told me it was lovely to be in the rain.." She tryed despritly to change the subject to a more sutible one but this was not her forte so it was harder then she wanted it to be.
