He was grateful for his father's company and leaned against him just like he had when he was a kid and had some fresh new wound to be tended to. "It's a little fuzzy to tell you the truth. The stabbing and punch did come later. He took me by surprise while I was trying to figure out what the hell was going on." Shaking his head and thinking back over the whole situation. "Nah, I got my a** handed to me. But I took a few of them down with me and I'm hoping they won't be messing with me again. If I hadn't been so dizzy, I'd have made it home sooner. And then I fell into reverie which was even worse." He chuckled softly and gave his father a wry smile. "I'm not going anywhere. Besides, I knew that if I was really in bad shape you'd know and I wouldn't be fighting alone anymore. That gave me the boost I really needed."

"Sometimes in those situations, it's best to go straight on defense. Remember when it happened to me? You were three and you'd broken your arm. I made the decision it was better to curl up rather than provoke more, so I could get back to you and still be of use." Shaking his head though at his son's persisted less than shining language. A lopsided grin followed after he son's as he watched the boy. "You're right about that, if you ever do need me you know I'll show up. You just hope that half the time I don't so you can keep your pride intact." Fixing his son's hair some, "But for now, you need to rest. I don't want you up and running about or whatever it is you do with all your free time these days. Believe me, you don't want to stress stitches...hurts like you wouldn't believe."

He was quiet for a moment, trying to remember the time his father was talking about. "I remember crying a lot. And wanting to help you but I couldn't." Shaking his head and then shifting slightly so that he was lying down in his bed. "I appreciate your respect for my teenage pride. It's pretty much all I've got. But Dad...I haven't forgotten about our little deal...I just wanted you to know that."

"Well...I shoudl suspect you wouldn't recall it all. You really didn't care that your arm was broken and you had bumped your head as well." Watching his son ease himself down onto the bed, not helping but supervising at the very least. A slight smile and a little nod, Sevilin knew what his son was talking about....Sevilin had given the boy his freedom but Zykariel had yet to give anything back. "I would expect no less from you. Some little things are okay to fall by the wayside, but the important ones need to be tended." Brushing Zykariel's hair away from his face and out of purple eyes. "Is this the part where you want to be huffy and tell me to go away and let you rest? Won't break my heart if you do. I know sometimes I want to crawl in a hold and hide...your mother's concotions are effective...but terrible to take."

"Was Mama there?" Perhaps he wasn't exactly thinking about the right time in his life or maybe he was and just didn't have all the facts. He knew that his father was going to give him time to come up with whatever was to be given in return but he wasn't sure how long he felt right about taking advantage of the freedom without paying the price. "Rest is good. I had to take far too many today..." Closing his eyes and settling in.
Zahara was feeding Kelligrin downstairs. Cutting up a few pieces of sausage and toast on his tray and letting him drink his orange juice. The child was happily babbling to her about his reverie and seeing Zykariel. She opened her mouth and let her son feed her a piece of sausage with a smile. "Thank you. Now you eat the rest."

"Yeah...you freaked her out because she was supposed to be watching you." Shaking his head lightly before watching his son settle. "If you need anything, just call one of us okay? Feel free to be lazy." Patting his son's shoulder before getting up and heading out of the room, pulling the door too but not closed before he headed downstairs to his wife and youngest with a sigh. "You'll want to make him something to kill off anything in his stomach. Said they poured something down it but it was probably somethign like wet ash or mud." Sitting at the table, he steepled his fingers. "Certinally an interesting morning."

"He's not for sure?" That could play havoc with anything she was attempting to use but she had a feeling they could also get away with things easily enough. "If they were staying outside, he could have been knocked down next to a campfire as well. I'm just so angry with him about the girl that I have half a mind to just let him suffer."
Kelligrin gave a happy squeal at the sight of his father and made a grabby motion with his hands before holding up a piece of sausage and showing him. "Lookit. Daddy want?"

Eyes averted to his youngest, who was obviously happy to see him. Reaching over he let the boy grab his hand. "No, you eat it. You're a growing boy. Need all you can get." Turning his attention back to his wife. "He didn't just hit her. Apparently the boy she was with threw her in front of himself so Zykariel would hit her and not him. Zykariel was angry becaue this other boy started the hitting, by targeting his girlfriend first. Turned into a nice gang up from there."

"That only makes it slightly better, Sevilin, and you know it." Shaking her head and mixing some milk into the scrambled eggs so that Kelligrin would eat them. "He really needs to be more careful since he knows how much some of his opponents hate him. It was irresponsible for him to be out in the open and even moreso to be with another boy's girlfriend. I am proud of him for becoming irritated over violence to the girl and it wasn't a fair fight." Shaking her head, "That boy could get into trouble if he was all alone and had nothing around him to harm him." Muttering to herself as she went about mixing up a potion to nullify the contents in her son's stomach. "Watch Kelligrin. He's been eating too fast lately and has almost choked a few times."
"Oaky." Popping the piece in his mouth and then picking up the fork and maneuvering some eggs up and in. It was so much easier to eat with his fingers but he knew Mommy didn't like that and Daddy would scrub him down. He was going to master the fork if it killed him trying. "More juice, please?"

"Point is, it wasn't just irrational lash out. And I told him that there were better ways to handle the whole thing rather than start with the fighting. As he learned, most people who think the world of themselves often have backup waiting in the wings to prevent their destruction when someone calls their bluffs." Shaking his head lighlty before giving her a sigh and a nod, watching her go off before his attention turned to Kelligrin. "Well look at you...no more sippy cup, using a fork and everything. You're growing up arne't you?" Getting up and taking the boy's cup, filling it with more juice and setting it back down. "Better?"

He gave a happy little grin and then shook his head, still smiling. "No. Kelli little. Daddy big. Mommy big, too and Karel." Tilting his head and frowning. "Sissy not too big. Where sissy, Daddy?"
Zahara tended to her son as best she could considering his unique circumstances. She spent a bit of time in conversation with him, finding out his version of the tale and blending it with what Destyny was able to tell her. Needless to say, she was far less irritated with him than she'd been when she'd first come in. Letting him go off to reverie, she came back downstairs and shook her head. "He realized I cut my hair."

"Well you're getting big. Eventually you'll be as big as everyone else and probably causing twice as much havoc." Nabbing a piece of sausage off the toddler's plate and eating it as he searched for a few words. "Your sisters went on a trip with Malik and his family to another place on the surface. They'll be back." A blink at his wife as she came back in. "This is....a good thing?"

"Kelli bigger!" Smiling and clapping his hands happily then frowning as a piece of his sausage suddenly disappeared. Catching sight of his father chewing, he gave a giggle and then went back to eating. "Mommy's pretty." Nodding to that and carefully drinking his juice, though he began coughing halfway through.
"An amusing thing, really. He was telling me what happened and trailed off in the middle of it, staring at me. Then his eyes widened and he actually raised his voice and said 'you cut your hair.' I just laughed and let him finish his story." Plopping some food on two plates, she set one down in front of him and sat down with her own. "He'll be alright. He just has to reverie for a bit and take it easy for a while."

"Yes mommy is very pretty. I take it you like her hair too." Taking the cup from the child so he wouldn't spill as he started to cough and patting him lightly on the back with his other hand. "You are eating aweful fast...hope you haven't picked up any of my habits." Waiting to make sure the child was okay before he allowed him to have his juice back and Sevilin looked again to Zahara. "He hasn't seen you with short hair like that really since he was three. I'm sure it was a remark of nostalgia." Getting that pensive look though as she sat down with food for the both of them...he was still worried. "That will be the hard part...he never takes it easy." Forcing a light smile to her though, "Well...suppose this all made up for the quiet of last night."

He just grinned and went back to his breakfast, more than pleased that Daddy was talking to him and Mommy was back downstairs. "Bad habits!" Banging his spoon against the tray and then pushing his plate away. "All done."
Toying with her food more than eating it, she nodded and sighed. "Most likely. It just caught him off guard and I think he felt bad that he hadn't noticed it when he first saw me. It didn't bother me since I'd forgotten I even cut it until he said something. Drama will do that to you." Reaching over and patting her husband's hand. "You don't have to eat but I thought you might like to try."
