One thing was for sure...someone was going to be hurting worse than his son was about things. But that was for later and this was about right now. Another pet through his son's hair as his wife continued checking him out, figuring out exactly what was causing him so much pain. Still the similarities that did exist Sevilin found disturbing. "Just relax Kariel." Turning his eyes to his wife again, "You're not going to get anything useful out of him like this. Let's just take precautions and get him in better shape first. Do I need to put him out?" Runics of course...after all, not everyone could handle pain like he could.

"I can see that." Shaking her head and sponging at the dried blood then turning her gaze to the playpen where the toddler was beginning to stir. "Yes, I think that might be best. He'll disturb Kelligrin and we can't have that. Besides, he'll be far more comfortable if he can't feel a thing." Threading a needle while he took care of their son, she carefully cauterized the wound and began stitching it up. "Can you do a scan of his body and see if you can find any unfamiliar substances in his system? I need to know what he's ingested so I know if I can give him certain potions for pain and whatnot." Continuing her steady stitching until she had closed the wound, tied a knot and cut the thread. Looked like everything was going to be natural healing.

Placing his fingers on his sons temples, fingertiop drew small runes before taking to a relaxing rubbing motion, watching his son's eyes close and the tension leave his body before his wife went to her work...well at least the wound wasn't very deep, but still couldn't have gaping wounds. If he was fine they could always go back and use magic but for now, had to be careful. Another rune scribed to his son's forhead, searching for anything that wasn't normal. "Maybe Destyny knows something? You could ask her." Frowning lightly, "Wel...no poisons. Seems he's had a bad encounter with smoke thoguh." And then there were the bar contents...but Zykariel was known to have a drink or two. Smoke he could understand...it made a fabulous torure device. Moving around the table a bit, he checked his sons eyes, which were indeed bloodshot from irritation as well. He'd wake the boy in a few moments, only because he didn't like his son not being able to tell them things if somethign truely was wrong that they were missing.

"Good." If Zykariel had poison in his system, someone was going to pay. "That would likely explanation the inflammation of his throat." Tilting her son's head back, she studied his nostrils as well. "Yes, he inhaled it, it looks like. You don't think they tried to burn him, do you?" Zahara tended to the rest of her son's wounds which numbered fewer than she'd first thought. Mixing up a drink to soothe his throat, she left it with Sevilin. "When you wake him up, have him drink this very slowly. It's got mint in it and a few other things that will help his throat and it should taste decently enough. If he complains about the texture, just tell him it's supposed to be that way." Frowning as Kelligrin fussed and she wiped her hands on a towel and picked the toddler up, settling him on her hip. "I'm going to go talk to Destyny. Come on, Kelli. Let's go visit the horses."

"I don't think so...It's an old tactic for intimidation. Slow burning something placed near the face so there's no choice but to breathe in the smoke. Makes you weak and messes up your senses. A cowards tactic really." Shaking his head lightly and petting a hand through his son's hair before taking the glass and giving her a nod. "Don't worry...he's a tough kid." Saying it because they both needed to hear it. Propping his son up again as she left, he snapped his son out of the state he'd put him in, giving him a light jostly and putting the glass close enough so that he could smell the contents. "Zykariel, you need to drink this."

His eyes fluttered and then widened in pain and he moaned again and tried to roll. He just wanted to be left alone. No more fighting, no more punching and no more magic. He hadn't even done anything this time. "Stop..." His world spun and his stomach lurched for a moment as he reached out and grabbed his father, head lolling back. "Don't...want..." He knew better than to argue so he just opened his mouth and waited, letting the cool liquid coat his throat and settle his stomach. Good ole Mom. "Hell."

Stubborn child as ever. "Stay still and it won't hurt as much. We don't want to do anything magic based to you yet." Shaking his head lightly, "Just drink it and get it over with. Promise it will help." Helping his son get the concoction down before setting down the empty glass and petting through the boys hair affectionately, worry still ripe in his eyes. Well...he was at least well enough to be harsh in his language some. "Get into a brawl?" Letting the boy rest back against him as he sat on the edge of the table and took out the braid behind Zykariel's ear for comforts sake.

He let the stuff do it's work and forced a laugh that turned into a cough all too soon. "I wish. Could have taken 'em all. Surprised me...blinded me..." Shaking his head. "I...didn't know. We were just laying there. Stupid b***h..." He winced as his father brushed his temple that was pounding at this point in time from some unknown object having been slammed into it repeatedly. He felt like a jerheg had fallen on him...

"In the beds of your fan girls again?" Merely continuing to pet through his son's hair in that soothing manner that he had since the boy was an infant. "Either way, what happened isn't so much important as that you're safe. You're not too bad off and that's good, despite how bad you do feel. Anything feel really off that we may not have picked up on." Watching his son trying to play tough guy, tilting his head lightly to that.

"Not really...camping outdoors." Shaking his head and resting a hand over his temple. "b***h of a headache...and they dumped something down my throat."
Zahara came back inside and set her youngest son back down in his playpen then crossed her arms and glared at her oldest. "Zykariel Inthara, if you ever hit a woman again I will personally have your father take you down a peg or two! There is no excuse for that!" Turning her gaze to Sevilin, "He was getting frisky with a girl and her boyfriend showed up. The rest is pretty self explanatory."

"Watch your language...and it was probably ash or something. Couldn't detect any poisons. Did you throw it back up?" A look to his wife though who came in yelling. Well...that explained thigns didn't it? His son always seemed to jump from one spot of trouble to the other, just for the thrill of it. A light shake of his head with a sigh. "Zykariel...you know better..." And he just didn't like the thought of more or less unprovoked violence. His thoughts were probably in his eyes at he looked to his wife before standing and scooping his son up again. "I'll put him in his room so he can rest." Heading off with his son, he was quiet until they reached his room. "I know you enjoy me letting you do whatever you want...but that doesn't mean I want you to do things that are just going to get your hurt."

"Maybe..." He winced as his mother came in yelling and opened his mouth to say something but his father was already carting him back upstairs. He should resent how easy it was for his father to lift and carry him but that would just be silly. After all, his father was probably always going to be stronger than him. "It wasn't like that..." Shaking his head and swallowing again. "I didn't know she was with someone. And I didn't mean to hit her. The b*****d threw her in front of himself as a shield but I'd already thrown the punch. It gave him an excuse I guess..."

"Why did you want to hit him in the first place? If you didn't know she was with someone and it turned out she was...you should of just told her that it was her loss because you aren't going to settle for second best. If he threw the first punch, you know how to block against that and subdue him. That often works better than hitting anyway." Setting his son on the bed and taking a moment to check over his son's wounds again carefully. "You're better than petty brawling Zykariel."

"He stabbed me in the chest. I thought a punch in the face was a decent comeback for that. But I ended up clocking her instead." Rubbing his arm as he was set down. "I tried to tell him that we were just talking and it was all my fault because I wouldn't leave her alone but he wasn't buying it. He called her a b***h and hauled off and slapped her and that's when I lost it. His cowardly self threw her in front of him when he saw me coming at him and then there was all these guys around me and they threw something in my face and I couldn't see. I was striking out blindly but I don't think I connected but a few times. They used some kind of magic so I couldn't tell where they were but they underestimated me."

So it was all coming out now and it made Sevilin feel so much better about the situation as well. He never wanted his son to fall victim to some dark nature he feared himself that would be born into his own son despite hsi tryings. That insanity for example...he could handle it himself but he'd never want his son to share it. Broken into it or genetic didn't matter to Sevilin either. It could still happen.
"Well, I thought the stabbing came later. But you should of just blocked and broken his arm. Taking a stab wound into a fight is hardly good for your chances. I think you'll be fine though...I'll have your mother get you something to neutralize whatever they gave you, just in case. She had a few cure alls...look like mud, tastes like sludge but it works." Brushing his hand through his son's hair againin affectionate manner. "I take it you topped them...then again since you were old enough to take care of yourself, you have been. Hardly need me anymore do you? Just do me a favor...don't scare me. I'm old, I can't take the thought of losing you long before your time."
