Kiah pulled her hand away slowly, trying to understand why he was staring at her like she was the one calling out for invisible people. “A-Alma isn’t here anymore? Or... they really weren’t here at all, whoever it is. You were... talking to... yourself...” she stated uncomfortably, keeping her eyes trained on the ground.

“S-sorry...” She wasn’t entirely sure why she was apologizing. Maybe because she brought him there to remember something, or maybe because she was there in the first place and hearing it.

Upon hearing Kiah's words a second time, he swallowed the rock in his throat. Slowly he took a couple steps backwards, away from Kiah. He stumbled over his own feet as he backed up, before turning and bolting. What Kiah said had to be true. As he forced his way through the bushes they had entered through, vague images of his brief trip into wonderland started to come back. He realized he had spoken out loud. Above all else, he realized the growing embarrassment bubbling in the pit of his stomach.

Kiah: *Stops partway through and blushes* Sorry... am I boring you? ))

“Kanda?” Kiah watched as he started backing away from her in confusion, eyes widening considerably when he turned around and shot off in the direction they’d come from. “Kanda!” She lurched forward to chase after him, but after a few steps she hung back, staring at the bushes as he ran away. Knowing she wouldn’t be able to catch him anyway, she frowned and made her way back to the stump, believing that he was mad at her for hearing him and needed to be alone for awhile.

Feeling absolutely miserable, she sat on the ground near her makeshift table, folding her arms on it and lying her head down. She thought about everything that happened today and sighed, wondering why this "Alma" had him running away.

The second Kanda burst from the woods he stopped to catch is breath. He bent over and leaned on his knees, listening hard for the sound of someone following him. When he heard nothing, he let out a heavy sigh. His legs trembled beneath him in small spurts, and he pushed himself up straight again, choking back some air. He picked up running again, towards the Order, but realized that was one of the last placed he wanted to be. He stopped in his tracks and gritted his teeth in frustration. He turned around in circles in the middle of the grounds, pacing with irritation.
