kiahpup Kiah glanced back at him as he took a seat before returning her gaze to the stars, smiling a little in the process. She quickly picked out her favorite- the one that had lead her back the that house so many times in the past- and examined it, thinking back to everything she’d left behind. She focused on her father for the most part, because anything more would send her down a spiral of depression and panic that she didn’t need that night. Surprised when he leaned back against her, Kiah blushed a little, turning her head and looking at him out of the corner of her eye. She was confused as to why he was nodding, but she didn’t say anything, simply shrugging it off and pressing her back against his more before looking back to the sky. Kiah could hear him loud and clear, the peaceful silence sounding dead in her ears as she slowly looked around the clearing, trying to figure out who he was talking to. She was sure it wasn’t meant for her to hear- though she didn’t know who “Alma” was- so she stayed quiet. “Al... ma?” she practically mouthed the word, staring down at her feet and feeling like someone kicked her in the gut. After a few seconds she looked back to the stars, face completely blank to hide any negative emotions she could be feeling. (( Sorry I disappeared! ))
Kanda was still oblivious to his reality, and sat in Alma's arms for as long as he would be allowed. But all too soon, Alma was releasing him and backing away. Kanda looked up at the face he had known and been haunted by all that time, who had turned out to be the one he had been searching for. He reached a hand out to try and grasp Alma, wishing him to come closer again, but Alma shook his head.
"I have to go now, Yu. And you have to face reality again."
Kanda's expression turned troubled at Alma's words, fear and doubt rippling through him.
"Goodbye."
Kanda yelled out as Alma began to fade away, sitting up straighter and reaching.
"ALMA!"

Kiah was confused about what Kanda was doing from behind her, feeling his constant shifting and simply furrowing her eyebrows while she pointedly avoided looking at him. When he started getting up and shouting, she nearly fell back in alarm, looking at him with wide eyes as he reached for something that she couldn’t see. She warily slid a little closer to him, staring at him with a worried expression on her face.
“K-Kanda...?” she tried to get his attention, inwardly wondering what was going through his mind. Kiah started reaching for him and hesitated a moment, unsure of what she should do in this situation. Finally she grabbed his shoulder, shaking him gently to help him out of whatever trance he was in. “I... I don’t think... Alma is here anymore...” she whispered, looking away from him.

Kanda was jerked back to reality as Kiah's hand touched his shoulder. He stood there blankly, hearing her last sentence. He turned to look at her with wide eyes, his mouth agape.
"What did you just say?"
He couldn't have heard her right. She didn't know about Alma. Where had that even come from?
