Eva laughed, smiling lopsidedly. "What rules?" She pulled a chair out from in front of Ryanna's desk. "Here, sit down. No, I insist." She waited for Azora to find the chair and sit in it before she continued. "the organization is called Mishap Mercenaries. Mer-Cen-Ar-Ies. The only rule for us is payment. People `ome to us when they have no time for beauracracy. They come to us when they need something done that they can't have the authorities discovering, cleaning up after failed Asylum transfers, for instance. And people come to us when they can't turn to anyone who follows normal rules." She turned back to Ryanna. "Alright, Phalanx accepts this mission. I'll be in the library if I'm needed." She started walking towards the door and paused with her hand on the oak planks. "Oh, and Azora. Your codename is Katsu, after the actor synonimous with Zatoichi."

Rai backed away a little. "..." He saw Eva again, and let her through. He walked in, and scrutinized the office. He then turned his attention to Ryanna, and remained silent.

Azora wasn't sure what to do, it mad sense, mercenaries, all of them. She sat in the chair, despite the fact that Eva wasn't there anymore and waited for all the information to sink in. Katsu.... that sounded about right, but wasn't Katsu also some kind of meat cutlet?

There was a loud rumbling sound as the ground began to shake. Several feet ahead of the caravan, the ground split and tore apart, creating a gap too wide to cross.

Brian whistled as he saw the assembly of ports. He grinned, and plugged all three of them in at the same time, while his firewall was up and his special little precious tools for which the CIA, FBI and maybe the mossad would have strangled him with pleasure did their work. He smiled a bit, as he saw how layers of code were copied, disassembled, and analyzed. Of course, in sandboxed mode. He would not want anything nasty to happen to his precious little laptop.
He grinned, and watched the cyborg. He seemed oddly like a case of terminator imitation, only even more ugly. He shrugged, and continued to empty the persons pockets, whil he cleared the chest area. If his little helpers were unable to communicate with the implants, he would have to kickstart the bugger the old way. Either by dragging the guy to the next socket, and using some unlucky appliance-cord for a manual kickstart, or his lucky taser.
He knew that he was supposed to wait for the medical Team, but hey, he was just trying if there was some sort of reboot button on the guy. To wait while his semi-automatic knowbots did the hacking had allways been the hardest part. So, he positioned his laptop one meter away from the guy head, and started to test for all the signs that he had learned in medical training. Pulse, breathing, moistness of the nose.....
He looked up to the mech, and sighed. Ok, he was 15, had a babyface that made him seem like he was 12, had no visible muscles and was very short. He could really use something like a mech to gain some respect. Maybe, even if he really wished that the guy would wake up and stuff, in the very unlikely case that the cyborg would get a visit from the grim reaper, he would probably be allowed to keep his spare parts and his Mech.... that would be wickedly cool.
He sighed, and tried mouth to mouth, and the chest massage, while he had to replace his missing strenght with some weight of his knee. It really was a hell of work to get this guy to walk again. While Brian basically tested kissing a guy on his mouth, while jumping on his chest in a desperate attempt to get him awake or at least consious, his mind already was filled with him mowing down enemys with the builtin machinegun (or even a laser!!!), while listening to ride of the valkyres. Wickedly cool.
Brian has had no problem with death. His dad had explained him while they had to shoot Muffles in the head, because he was getting too old to , that each and everyone had to die, and the only two things that mattered If you are death were if the death had been quick ( Brian simply guessed that it was very quick, after all, the guy was allowing him to jump around on him), and what you would leave the rest of the world. In the case of the guy, he guessed a few bits of wyrm-meat, a few bones, and some eally cool implants he would not need in the afterlife, and a wickedly cool mech.
Brian grinned in excitement, and took the taser out of his Laptop case. It was basically two darts with some wiring, that would place the target under a voltage in the nearly lethal regions. He put it next to the guys head, and bowed down towards the guys ear, where he whispered....
"This is tech, and you look like a tech support bit. Now, you have three chances. One, the laptop finds a way to connect to your systems, I find a restart button, you are happy. Two, somebody with real medical knowledge comes by, and brings a big screwdriver. Three, you wake up. Now, if you fail any of these three chances, I am so sorry, but I will have to shoot you with that taser, on the assumption that a few hundred volt in your nipples restart your heart, or give you consiousness. Sorry, but I am only 15, and you seem awfully freaky.
Now, if that also fails, and you should die, well, I have done anything you could have wanted from me, and please, you know the risk.
Now, first, I will ask the captain to get your rang and number in the team, then I will grab your mech, spraypaint it pink, and rename it the f**-botter. Of course, because of the cigarettes I will be smoking in there. Then, I will get, with or without her allowance, your implans, scan them, rebuilt them, and if I find a doc, or manage to create the right kind of software, I will have them in my body.
Now, I really look foreward to shoot you with this taser. The last guy I shot with it pissed his pants. I am really looking forward to see what you will do.
Now, Cyber boy, you have as long as I need to see if my programms produce any ability to read your system, and if I come back, nothing has happened, and you still do not move, I am going to shoot you.
Now, do you want to be shot in your n****e with a taser?"
He petted the guy on the head, climbed down from him, and walked for his laptop, to see if he had any possibility to connect with that system.

((OOc: You have exactly one round to still lie there, then Brian / Tech will try to revive you. have you ever been revived by a nerd? ))

Upon entering the library, Eva gave an involunatry whistle of appreciation. She knew what she expected, and that was pretty lofty. But the reality was much more impressive than her imagination. There was not a patch of wall not covered by a bookshelf, even some parts of the floor had books set in. What was more, space seemed to distort around certain corridors and shelves. That or her eye was failing her.

It took some doing, but she was finally able to locate a catalog after a solid half-hour of searching. It was contained in a machine every bit as magnificent and troubling as the library whose information it stored. The interface was a regular computer keyboard and monitor, a little out of date but certainly not out of the ordinary. It was connected to what may have occurred if God, during his infamous burst of creativity, had leaned more towards abstract expressionism than realism and gone Jackson Pollock on the Earth. All that she could clearly make out in the library's gloom was a beachball, several folding chairs, a surfboard, two halves of what looked like the same cowboy hat in different locations, most of the skeleton of a horse, a weed-whacker, several pounds of cocaine, a length of barbed wire, a beehive contained in a fishbowl, several varieties of shoe, a full tuxedo, a scale model of stonehenge executed in red clay, and about sixty tiny monkeys chained to typewriters. All these things were connected by a gleaming network of brass tubing, extending back farther than Eva could see, undoubtedly attaching to yet more random objects. She smiled to herself. Of course the library would need something like this. A building that distorts space itself can hardly operate on conventional machinery. It occurred to her that the catalog could probably only operate because it was in the library. Anywhere else, it would just be a bunch of useless garbage. But here, it was a computing force to be reckoned with. Laughing to herself, she logged into the system. This organization was growing on her.

She looked up everything she could find on airships. This turned up more books than she could possibly read the titles of in time to do the mission, so she instead looked up the mission progress records. The airships she was looking for were classified as "skyboats" due to their uncanny resemblance to nautical vessels of the eighteenth and ninteenth century on Earth. Narrowing her search only unearthed several hundred books, from which she was able to make a list of only six that were truly necessary reading. She wrote down the six most complicated dewey decimal numbers she had ever encountered, and set off into the shelves.

She returned to the entryway with her books looking tired and wearing her bandanna, and with a definate look of amusement on her face. Whatever obstacles she had encountered, she had obviously enjoyed them. She took the books with her to the portal room, where she setteled down and began to read, waiting for her team to prepare and show up.

Even though most of him was shorted out their was still enough to detect Brians lap top. Following protocol, access to the ports was denied and was cut off. Then all of the important information was encrypted. To try to get Sokato back on his feet it checked to see what parts were online and operational and those that were not. Any thing operational was turned on. There was a loud buzzing sound. Immediately after Sokato's eyes flicker open and the right eye, which was pitch black turns to its normal red. When seeing the light Sokato shuts his eyes and looks away. Sokato tries to get up but most of him was fried from the electricity. His left arm is completely blown off and his right leg is pinned under the sports bike. He speaks slowly. "Where are my sunglasses?"

"Mission time!" Yeti said, now filled with new vigor and zeal. He ran to hisroom and prepared a back pack. Clothes, his hand gun and sword, 8 ready-to-eat meals, a hookshot ( a grappeling hook/ gun apparatus), and a box of elongated special needles with a serrated tip in case his gun should happen to run out of ammo, and 6 magazines for his handgun. He took off to the portal room and sat eside Eva, who was reading an interesting tome. "Reading up for the mission?" He asked, smiling at his captain.

Gene Dalfont

"Finally. Made it to the headquarters..."

That was always the problem with using Psionic Planeshift, is what Gene always thought. The damned power always ended up throwing you off-target by a couple of miles. He really needed to improve in that area. For now, he was just glad to have gotten there at a somewhat good timing. Rain clouds were starting to form up against the mountainrange up north. Fos would have to find some shelter for now-- Gene doubted the hawk would be allowed in the building, for some reason.

Upon arriving, Gene was asked to take off all his weaponry before entering the building. He did so, though it took quite a bit of time, considering he had a lot of weapons on his person. After it, though, he made his way to the main hall. Not knowing where to go, he ended up turning a left right after that, and entered the mess hall through the door, looking around for any particularly important person within the organization for him to greet and make acquaintance of.

"Hey, dude, your glasses are, like, totally someplace safe. Just a tiny question: Your arm shows wires, your leg is totally clawed in under a motorbike, and as Far as I know, you should have terrible pain. I am not exactly sure if I shall call an ambulance or a cran to heave you someplace, because you are half machine and half dude, and quite frankly, you are a bit scary. "
Brian secured his laptop by pulling away his cables so that the guy could not accidentially bash his laptop....Then he saw the glasses.... apparently, they had been cracked, so this guy was going to kill him alive.
"Ok, mister, I am willing to help you, but I am 15, and I am not very good at liftng heavy things, so the only thing I could offer is to get a steel wire cable, sling it around the bike and pull bigtimes. So, if I may ask, and Idea how or what happened?"
Brian knew that the first thing you should care about in such cases was memory loss.
"I mean, excuse me, but you look like you tried to reload at an AKW, machine-dude. Come on, seriously, what did you do?"
He took of his black extra dark blues Brorther lookalike glasses, and carefully placed them on the nose of the collapsed guy.
"by the way, I am very sorry, but I think your glasses cracked.... So, oh one with a manual, any Idea where you are, what you are and what you were doing before you chilled on the floor? Follow the lamp.... please?"
He had his four LED Xeon lamp in the hand, and blinked the guy in the eyes.
"Just checking if there are any optical sensors are broken....."

Hrisskar was jolted from his slumber by the sound of an announcement.

'Sotako? Why would he need a medic?' Slightly curious and concerned, he swung himself out of his bed and pulled on a dressing-gown and the fluffy slippers which seemed to be the only footwear available to him at that moment in time.

Opening the door to his room, he made his way over the the carpark. As he went down the stairwell, he could already hear the car alarms going off.

"Christ almighty, what exactly happened here??", he wondered aloud, as the sliding doors into the car park slid open, and he saw the scene in front of him.

Jogging over, as gracefully as he could anyway, he saw the new tech guy, and... well... a robot? No... a cyborg... but..

'Aha', he thought as he realised, 'THAT's why his arm was made out of metal.'

Looking over the techie's shoulder, he saw Sotako's eyes - Were they actually eyes though? - flicker open.

"Hello there. You two seem to be having a fun time. Need any help there, Techie? I'm afraid I don't know your name." Hrisskar called over to the two men... well, man and child. He did look twelve after all, he noted.

He glanced round and noticed Sotako's leg pinned down by a bike. "Ouch, that can't be good. Lets try to get it off, me and you, techie. I may be fifty-five, but I think I have a bit of muscle left." He grinned at the child, and moved over to the bike.

((Hey there guys, sorry I've been away, been sorting out stuff for university D: Also been lurking for the perfect part to jump in.))

Brian grinned, and looked down at himself.
"Well, how do you suggest we do lift the machine? the thing is nearly three times as heavy as I am...."
He shook his head.
"Arch, wicked day, by the way. I am Brian, but my official nickname seems to be tech. Pleasure to meet you. "

Azora stood up a strange glint in her eyes. She went to her room, packing in her duffel bag. It was amazing how she found everything. Star had come back and was sleeping in the bed. She packed her holster, it looked like a belt amongst her cloths, she took apart her guns, and puck them into plastic bags, amongst the little toys and key chains it blended in well and a pack of candy. She she dressed in her school uniform that consisted of a green plaid miniskirt, a white blouse and a red tie. She tied her black hair back into two high pigtails with red ribbon and sat on the bed, putting on her black dress shoes. "I have to go now Star, I'll be back in a couple of days..." Star could take care of herself, she knew. She got up and picked up her duffel bag and went to the portal room, with some help of some other people.

Before Ryanna could notice Rai slipped out immediately. That wasn't where he was supposed to be. He sighed. What now? what was supposed to happen next? Those two question came to his mind as he walked upstairs to his dorm, and laid down, finding it hard to go back to sleep.

Sokato looked as if he weighed a little bit under 105 pounds. In reality he weighed 250 pounds. Whats left of his left arm twists around and falls off and falls to the ground. It leaves the connection points close to ensure that dust or other particles wont get in. He is a bit annoyed about the light being shined in his eyes. He closes them. "If you were to say that I was half man, and half machine you would be off. I am a bit over three quarters machine..." Sokato moves his head so he could see his mech. "I was working on it, trying to make sure every thing was not damaged or broken. I was testing the power when zap. It felt like I got hit by a train. There is no need for any medical attention though, I will be fine. Any way its nice to meet you Brian, although I wish we met on better circumstances." Sokato looks over to his right to see Hrisskar in a dressing-gown and fuzzy slippers. "Hey Hrisskar. Those are nice shoes..." He said laughing a bit.
