Greeneyes grimaced at the wail rising from beneath the cities. For a moment she again saw the fear on her best friend's face when she had approached the last time, knew the blood oozing from multiple lacerations was her own fault. Her own, selfish, fault. And she deserved it, she deserved that fear...
And then it was over. The hreni woman found herself hunched over, crouched down as small as possible, her blades up above her body protectively, slanted to resemble the roof of a house. Shaken, Greeneyes stood up, listening to the voice of the man that might rid her of such horrors once and for all.
"Would the necro-dudes be the three men fleeing toward the forest earlier?" she asked.

As the scream tore through the air, Allen winced. Memories came up, unbidden. All the horrors he had commited in his youth, the screams of pain he had caused. The looks of horror, the pleading as his blade tore the innocents to pieces...
...and then it was over. He stumbled slightly, his face a little pale as he managed to catch himself. Whatever had made that scream, Allen didn't wan to know. In fact, one might call it cowardly, but he wanted to get as far from the scream as possible. Those memories were repressed for a reason, after all.
"Chasing after the 'necro-dudes' as you called them sounds like it'd be the best course of action. We can hardly just let them escape after all. You never explained what you were doing in the warzone though, Joseph."

OOC: Ummz, Lucind asked me to do this. 'Bout two pages' backreading shows that the post order for the Knight and ship ordeal is:
Vahn, Sunstrike, Kraun, Lucind, Shouyin.
Aaand, Sun's up. ^^"

FWOOSH... FWOOSH... FWOOSH FWOOSH
Blurs of objects sped past as Silver swerved in and out of their way, making his way torward Latent at breakneck speed. The crotchrocket was a little faster and more maneuverable than a chopper, so he'd make it in better time.
Like a signal in the dark, he had felt it. Surprise registered on Silver's face as he looked up for a moment, the wind whipping his platinum locks about. Vahn. His presence was strong, coming from the direction Silver was headed, from inside Latent.
Looking ahead through the fiery tinted frames of the shades he had borrowed, Silver could see the rapidly approaching sea-side city. With his brow furrowed, he leaned forward and twisted the throttle again, sending the bike forward with an even greater burst of speed.
He would be headed for the residential area first, where his home had been during his stay in the town.

MerDefsGirl The slug slithered, as all slugs tend to do, wether it slithered away or slithered closer didn't really matter, it was only interested in finding food. But it was no longer interested in ordinary filth. It wanted cursed items, cursed flesh, everything and anything that humanity had sullied with an evil touch, anything that was endowed with sin, or hate, and shame. It absorbed murder victims that had been dumped and never found, it absorbed waste from abortion clinics, it absorbed the bones of lost children, it absorbed heroin needles, it absorbed pills, it absorbed the discarded weapons of the criminal element, it absorbed purposely discarded wedding rings, it absorbed all manner of written propaganda from advertisements, it absorbed cigarette ends, and it absorbed the lies and misguided idealism of corrupt political pamphlets. Discarding the ordinary filth, it became a concentrated ball of the most vile, despicable, evil traits of humanity. Oh, if it had only found the sewers of Durem, what a feast that would have been to behold.
It released a bellowing wail that shook the entire sewer, the sound would be released from all the sewer openings in latent. Then it continued the song. It welled up from sinks, bubbled from toilets, from drains and shower plugs. It was a wail that pierced the mind and filled it with despair. Across Latent, scores of people would be driven mad upon hearing it, their minds fried by the unfettered voice of humanity's sins, that is, if they hadn't committed suicide first. *It was strange, this had to be the cleanest damn sewer system that she had ever seen* sweatdrop *The noise was very annoying, but at least it showed the Lady where the monster was, and for some reason it had her on the verge of laughing again. Perhaps it was the blade she carried, the same blade that Gabriel had given her before he sent he off to slaughter her own people... The guardian wasn't focusing on that right now though, it was just too much like old times to be on the hunt with Hugin* Damn this thing moves fast stare It is just ahead I think My Lord, we should be able to do some real damege from behind before it ever manages to turn... twisted *Running through sewers was not her idea of a fun way to spend her time back in a physical body*

He scrambled upright as the world blew all to hell around him.
The ship reached the shore, some THING came out of the ocean, and Vahn...
Sunstrike felt a chill go right down to his soul as the flames and heat were sucked right out and into the man next to him.
~~
Someone surveyed the scene from next to one of the buildings.
"That ship full of creatures is going to be a problem, maybe we should give it something to worry about other then Vahn, hm, Sunstrike? Sam...give him what he needs..."
A bow was strung, leveled, and fired.
~~
Sun wouldn't have much time to think about what was going on though, he had to watch Vahn's bac-!
"ACK!!" Something tore straight through his shoulder, embedding something deep inside. Magic flooded his system and he dropped to his knees, palm spread in the sand. Runes began to glow green in a circle around the two.
His eyes, usually bright shades of orange, was now a murky brown.
He had Vahn's back, which the knight and any approaching ghouls would find severly hampering.
Should any feet cross the circle, they'd find themselves bound by vines that would attempt to drag their victems into the sand and crush them underneath.
Meanwhile a strange rumble had started from the vicinity of the ship.
Sunstrike didn't move, head down and almost half buried himself.
Vahn could take care of the knight, Sun would take care of the ghouls.

And a shadow would appear inside the ship (next to the men I believe). From this shadow, a figure would rise. A figure whom moments ago was on the outside of the ship.
Menos.
He bowed to the two men, whether they noticed him or not. His approach at been silent, but it didn't matter to him if the men saw him or not. He was here to have a little fun, not to end it so quickly. The shadow was still slowly melting off his body onto the ground.
He grinned.

The captain waved his hand quickly to one of the bridge crew, who hit a button on one of the consoles that, as one could easily imagine, alerted the few security forces that were on board that there was a situation on the bridge.
Father Brinley turned around with a start, feeling the cold hand of undeath upon his shoulder. "Oh, lord in heaven!" he gasped, bringing his hand clutching the rosary up to the center of his chest, and having to catch himself before he stumbled backwards over the rail in front of the windows.
The man beside him, Mr. Black, raised his left hand.
"Yo."

"My name is Menos..."
He bowed again before speaking.
"...I've come to have a little fun....wont you, play with me?"
He flexed his hands to his side, darkness moving around his base. He didn't know the two men, but if they didn't entertain him in the manner he desired, he would have to rip their flesh from their bones and bring down the entire ship.
Well, he managed to do that anyway, but that besides the point.
(sorry for the delay, im multitasking)

Across town the "thing" known as Eli moved along at a steady pace. Its purple haze still blocking the holy water pouring from the sky. Through that haze, the creature itself would be seen not walking but skipping.
Yes, skipping. In an almost child-like state of joy the creature would bounce along. It hopped as if it were walking on clouds, its head bobbing side-to-side, and its arms swinging freely.
The streets of the town were all but deserted, seeing as a multitude of other things began to rain down from the heavens as well. The magic missiles and what not would quiet easily peirce whatever protection the haze was providing him. It was not meant to deflect such attacks afterall.
THOOM!
A bolt would strike the thing and in the chest and put an end to its care-free prancing. It would stop and stare at the smoldering indention with curiosity.
THOOM! THOOM! THOOM! Several more bolts rained about it, but they missed, so Eli payed no mind, until it saw the shadow suddenly being cast over it.
Curious blue orbs turned skyward, just in time to see a billboard (recently liberated from the confines of a building wall) come rushing down to greet it.
CRASH!

Ho Shin "My name is Menos..."
He bowed again before speaking.
"...I've come to have a little fun....wont you, play with me?" "Cute..." Mr. Black leaned back against the railing, hands at his sides, gripping it. "But you forgot to say please." "For heaven's sakes, child!" Father Brinley was taken aback, unable to take his eyes off of the unholy figure of the necromancer except to gaze sternly at James, in apparent disgust of the way that the necromancer was being tolorated here.
"...it's... it's INDECENT! UnHOLY! A sinful thing, child!"

He chuckled. Two interesting people, one cocky, one a p***y (har har..made a funny)
He flexed his hands again, looking at the cocky one.
"I dont say please...take it or leave it..."
He then cocked his head, shooting a cold stare at the priest.
"...Boo..."

"Oh, HEAVEN HELP US!" Father Brinley exclaimed again as he reflexively jumped back so far that he fell against the guard rail once again.
"You... you...HOOLIGAN!"
He shouted vehemently, clutching his rosary in one fist as he shook it in the direction of the necromancer.
"As the everlastin' glory of God as my witness, you'll get what's comin' to you..."
James, on the other hand, remained relaxed as ever. Maybe because he'd just had a drink, and he was feeling pretty cool. Maybe because as they wasted time on formalities up here, half a dozen armed guards were pounding their way up a corridor...

He snickered at the word hooligan. Unfortuantly for the priest however, but the time he spoke his other words, Menos would not be in the prievious locationg. He was?
"In front of you..."
Glory of god, holy father...he was condemed anyway, why did it matter. He knew reinfocements were coming, he figured he would attempt to end things quickly.
He pulled his arm back and readied his claws to point straight at the man's stomach. It would be a short jab, a slice if you will...but if he connected, it would hurt. Menos was psychokinetic, need I inform you.

"Yeah, weird a** screams can distract you from questions," Joseph gave a glance and a shrug to Allen, "I was driving a big ol' truck from headquarters to the brand new location we built. Figured the Heavy Lifter would do best near a place it could practice like the leviathan."
"Had to make sure it got there safely."
Though you would never guess the same Lifter transforming golem to splotch on the wall, via repeated slammings, would need help. In fact, the thing was so committed to its new mission that it made its own decisions about the best course of action. Once the golem was more dead it would exit the North Gate, charging the place the army originally came from.
"Forest, eh Greeneyes?" Joseph watched as the Lifter make like a bully pushing a nerdy kid up against a locker, "That sounds about right. Where better to set up a base camp than the cover of a forest."
Joseph tapped the payload on Allen's bike with his shotgun.
"You just may get to burn something after all." With that he began to walk after the massive robot, "Or at least you better. I would feel way better about our four man assault if the enemy was ten to fifteen percent more on fire than us."
