Mag walked up the bridge. Sunfire jogged at his side and eagerly watched as a powerful looking Charmeleon took down an equally powerful looking Pidgeotto with a skyward ember attack.
"Hey you trainer!" A girl shouted as she ran up to Mag. "Want to have a battle?" She asked as she released a large pink pokemon that rolled out a large tongue. "Cool a Lickitung." Mag muttered to himself. "Well if it is a battle you want then we'd be happy to oblige," Mag said with a bow as Sunfire stepped up to his place on the bridge.
"Liki use Lick!" Tana commanded. Her blob moved in on Sunfire and shot out it's tongue rather quickly in an upward slash. The attack connected and Sunfire cringed as the wet tongue pushed him back forcefully. "Grosss...." Sunfire said to itself as it shook of the saliva and got into battle position.

Dante smirked even wider as Cole flew down at Black. "Now! Use Iron tail! Go for a line drive!" He said with a tinge of evil in his voice. "Absol!!" Black yelled and his tail shone silver. He flipped over gracefully slamming his tail right into meowth's face just as he was in range sending him flying right at Shino and Z. He crashed into both and all three of them flew backwards into a tree with a loud thump. They bounced off and fell straight onto the hard ground. "I . . . lost. I used both of my pokemon against a single absol and I lost. I didn't just lose I was destroyed. He completely decimated me. I . . . lost." Z said as he slowly lost consiousness. His pokemon had fainted and were lying next to him. "Z!" Lyn and Summer yelled as they ran to Z's aid. That was when Z blacked out completely.
Z woke up an hour or two later in miserable pain. "Ow." He muttered as he slowly opened his eyes. He woke up to Dante's eerie face smiling down at him. Z would have screamed but he was in to much pain. "Oh! You woke up! After you fell asleep your friends and I brought you to my house since I have a Blissey that is trained in healing. They headed back to their hotel for the night and they let me take care of you!" Dante said happily.

"Now it is our turn to strike back! Ember!" Mag shouted to Sunfire who easily performed the move. Lickitung drew back it's tongue and held out it's arms to help block the attack. It still seemed ready to battle. "Okay Liki, Stomp it now!" Tana said enthusiastically as she jumped in the air mimicing the move herself.
"Dodge it with Quick Attack and then use it against it." Mag commanded as he watched the battle ensue. Likitung came charging in and leap high in the air landed sqarely on the bridge. Sunfire managed to escape with his speed as splinters from the wood came up around Likitung. It turned and shot out it's tongue at him as he charged foreward. Both pokemon took a hit but Likitung recieved the most damage from the Quick Attack.

M.A. smiled genially at both Mitsu and Kilik, now having heard their names. The girl felt a simplistic, warm happiness flood her, for one or another inexplicable reason. Perhaps it was just getting to know Kasiya and hearing her laughter, perhaps it was meeting new, different people, and perhaps it was the prospect of making friends anew on this journey, which had been company-less since the get-go. Having totally missed what Kilik had said from her distance (she did catch the glance, but didn't think too deeply of it), she could comfortably and cheerily introduce herself to both of Kasiya's friends. The discomfort and worry she had felt earlier about getting in the way of Kasiya and Mitsu's personal "reunion" faded distinctly after there were four instead of three. "I'm M.A.," she said, "and it's a pleasure to meet you both." Michael had always been polite when introducing himself to strangers, whether they be competitor coordinators or just passer-bys, and this had rubbed off on his baby sister who so admired and mimicked him.
Daemyn stared at the blue Houndoom, curiousity mingling with caution and the ever-so-present distrust. The last time he'd seen one of his kind. . .
Mary-Anne vaguely heard someone's stoumach rumble -- who it was, she couldn't quite tell -- but was glad to find something she could do for her new acquaintences. "Well, it's a pretty nice afternoon and all, " She couldn't exactly remember how many meals (or snacks, she had called them, for the sake of not sounding too repetitive) she had stopped and prepared today, but food wasn't a crime, was it now? Besides, she still had plenty of supplies and ingredients, some of which she had taken with her from Mauville, and an idea for a recipe popped into her head. "Does a late lunch and picnic sound good? I could have one done and ready like /that/," she snapped, grinning meanwhile. Maybe they weren't hungry at all, maybe it was an odd way of getting to know people, but there wasn't too much harm in asking, right?

"Hey," Al said briefly, returning to his video game. Ky's Mom came out of the kitchen with a plate of sandwiches, placing them on the table near the left side of the room everyone was in.
"Nice to meet you Crenu. I heard from Nurse Joy that Ky went to battle someone out in the forest. I'm guessing that was you," Ky's mom said, wiping her hands on her apron. "Feel free to help yourself Crenu; I always make extra sandwiches just in case. Same for you, Ky."
"I'll be back down for some later. I have to go pack first so I don't forget anything," Ky said before he ran up the stairs towards his room.
"Pack?" his mom said, a little confused. "What is that boy up to?" Al looked up again, not understanding what was happening.

Kasiya cast Kilik a quizzical look, and lowered her voice. "She goes by M.A.," she said, and then smiled slyly. "What do you mean, 'new cutie'? Does that mean that you think that me and Mitsu are cute too?" she asked, giving him a gentle, playful nudge and giggling. "Hey M.A.," Kasiya then said suddenly, forgetting that she'd been teasing Kilik almost instantly, "I know it's none of my business, but what does M.A. stand for?" she asked curiously.
Shocker, having noticed that the young Elekid's battle had been successful (in the Raichu's eyes, causing your opponent to flee was just as good as defeating them), she jumped up onto Kasiya's shoulder to get a better look at the baby. Maybe it was because she liked him, or maybe it was just because she felt a certain kinship towards a fellow Electric-type, but she was certain that she could feel raw power flowing from the plug-like Pokemon's body.

Flannery studied the situation as Mike gave advice to his partner. Even if Nitro could pull off a hit, Magu's tough shell would prove to be a problem. Noting that everyone seemed to be at a standstill, Magu took the opportunity to harden his shell again. Flannery nodded at the sight, knowing her Pokemon was a lot smarter than he looked, feeling a sense of confidence even as Nitro burrowed underground beneath them. "Just so you know, Mike, when this battle's over, you've gotta fill in all those holes!" the redhead called over the noise in the gym. Magu hunkered down bracing himself for impact.

Jaeshan hung up the phone, after not having a chance to say anything else. He looked at the device for several moments, only snapping back to reality when the entire building began to shake and rumble. Chairs, glasses, tables all began to rattle and jumble around, and a few windows shattered, spitting glass everywhere. People began to scream and flee in panic, the room almost fully cleared now. Jaeshan looked up in confusion, just in time to see his Nidoking being praised by a female Nidoqueen, who was obviously impressed by his mighty Earthquake attack. The trainer was laughing heartily, and she smiled at Jaeshan and waved. Jaeshan scratched his head and sighed, holding up Nidoking's Pokeball and recalled him before he could do any more damage. "Leave them alone for a minute," he sighed, only then realizing he was getting looks from several people. "I, err, uh, gotta go," he said, his cheeks flushing as he recalled his other Pokemon, made sure the egg was still secure and ran out of the Pokemon center in a huff.

Mai made her way back to her room after giving her report regarding the mission. She was tired, but satisfied. Not only had she secured the first piece of the relic, but she'd earned Giovanni's praise, a new title, and a Pokemon. She kicked off her shoes and took off her black overcoat, tossing them carelessly to the side of her room. She set the Pokeball Giovanni had given her on her bedside dressing table, resolving to check the new Pokemon out in the morning. She barely had the energy to crawl into bed and under the covers, and was asleep almost instantly. A smile crept up onto her face as she drifted off to sleep. "I'm glad I made you proud..."

Nina sighed, and paced around the outer perimeter of the trap she had set. She held a Pokeball in her right hand, and tossed it up and caught it as she walked. The other two Pokeballs she had in her possession were orbiting around her right arm; one circled around her wrist while the other went around her bicep. She was humming a familiar tune to herself.
After a few minutes she grew bored, and caused all three Pokeballs to hover slightly above her head, making them form a halo-like shape. Nina continued to pace around, anxiously awaiting Kilik's arrival.

Keegan paid no attention to those who would criticize his eating habits, dismissing them with a wave of his hand. He didn't care what anyone thought of him most of the time anyways, so how was how he ate any different? He also paid little notice to Jaeshan's ringing phone, and Dante's absence, finishing up his meal in record time. Feeling much better now, he shoved his plate aside and drained his juice in one gulp, leaning back in his chair and relaxing a bit. Artemis, having also finished her lunch, flew up and landed on his shoulder, giving him a friendly nuzzle to show she meant no hard feelings for her actions yesterday.
It wasn't until he glanced over at Nidoking and Nidoqueen that he foresaw what was about to happen. There was nothing he could do as the mighty drill Pokemon unleashed his attack, toppling tables, shattering windows, causing panic that spread quickly throughout the crowd. Keegan himself was thrown backwards onto the floor, and he would have bashed his head in had Artemis not used her wings to cushion his landing. A pained cry rang out, and Keegan sat up quickly, knowing that cry better than any.
Little Helios lay crumpled under a pile of debris, shaking with both pain and fright. Now trembling himself, Keegan carefully moved the junk covering his Pokemon, and cradled the small Vulpix in his arms. "You're okay, I've got you," he told the fox gently, looking around to see the condition of his other Pokemon. The widespread Earthquake had inflicted massive damage to both the building, and many of the Pokemon who remained inside. Loki was coiled up near the wall, looking drastically weakened. Keegan wasted no time in pulling him back into his Poke Ball. Themis was in no better shape than Helios, and was unconscious beside an overturned table. Swallowing the lump in his throat, Keegan called him back too, relieved to see that Althena was relatively unharmed, although the young Psyduck still wore a terror-stricken expression. Looking up to see what had become of the rest of the Pokemon, he just caught sight of a blonde-haired boy dashing out of the cafeteria in a hurry. He stood up, holding Helios in one arm, and Althena in the other, and motioned for Artemis to follow as he ran towards the front desk.

Jaeshan didn't stop running until he was several blocks away from the Pokemon Center. His chest heaving, he turned down an empty alley and plopped himself down on a wooden crate, coming to grips with what had just happened. "Nidoking...I can't even blame you for what happened," he sighed, holding his head in his hands. The pale, orange egg sat in his lap, gently swaddled by his favorite shirt. "It's my fault for taking my eyes off you. I should have let you eat, then called you back right away. I can be so careless sometimes..." He felt tears of guilt building up in his eyes, and he wiped them away quickly. "How could I have let this happen?" he sighed, remembering that he was supposed to be helping Ryka find Vixen. "Now I don't even know where I am," he grumbled, leaning back against the brick wall, and looking up at the sky.

Upon feeling the sudden Earthquake Dante, Violet, Meowth and Levi were all knocked to the ground. When it ended Dante groaned and pushed himself up one hand on his back. "Ouch the freakin' hurt." He muttered to himself. Violet had picked herself up easily and was laughing thinking the whole thing was fun and part of an adventure. Levi seemed to agree with her and the tiny baby Mudkip was jumping up and down excitedly. Meowth was of Dante's opinion and glared at the two crazy ones. Sighing Dante picked up the happy little Mudkip who jumped up and decided to stay on his head while Meowth seeing the shoulder free and knowing that was a free ride jumped up there. Once they had situated themselves and Violet had calmed down somewhat Dante looked around surveying the damage to the small building. Spotting Keegan at the front desk looking worried. Curious Dante went over to Keegan and was about to ask what was wrong when he saw the injured pokemon. "I hope their ok." He said feeling kind of awkward. They had been farther away and the shock of the EQ attack hadn't done much other then to knock them over.
Violet who had some experience healing pokemon seeing as she lived on a reserve and was a veteran pokemon trainer, was helping a few trainer's out who's pokemon had suffered minor injuries.

Crenu sighed as Ky mentioned packing and nothing more. "Probably shoulda let them know first Ky. Allow me to explain. I'm a traveling trainer, traveling from one city to another training my pokemon and getting stronger. I'm going to Azelia town, and then all over Johoto trying to win badges." HE looked at his brother and mother, then grinned. "And Ky is planning to join me. Two better than one and all."
