The corner of Tegral's lips curled upwards. Why, oh dear holy god why, did every woman assume that he'd bend over backwards and jump through flaming hoops just for a quick screw. Though he definitely wouldn't mind giving Kai a good romp he resisted the urge to make said desire vocal, though that wouldn't stop a physical reaction from occurring. Heart racing, muscles tensing, all internal effects, true, but likely Kai - with her ultra hearing towards the heart - would be able to detect it all the same.
"I'm of a mind to settle into a more tranquil life style. All I ever do anymore is build tools of destruction." If she wasn't following what he was about to ask for then maybe he'd mistaken her ability to reason things out. "The simple truth of it is that I've enjoyed myself more in these past few moments then any any length of time aboard the Cradle combined, and, if I may be so frank, the fact a beautiful woman was here to spend it with only made it all the better. So, the deal I propose is such." Heart racing and body tensing Tegral made a fine show of being completely at ease, going so far as to actually shift himself so he was laying flat on his back with Kaiori hovering over him. On a mental level he knew he was uncomfortable, knew he'd likely lost a measured level of ground with Kai now that she'd be able to know how to manipulate the situation to her advantage, but projected complete confidence on an outward mask. His eyes suddenly seemed all the more vibrant in the slight dim of the light, glowing like sapphires with a laser being passed through it, his powerful features seemed more welcoming than frightening - like a protective shield to withhold the world at bay and defend peace and tranquility. "Section out a piece of the forest so I can build a small home for myself, a two story building with two rooms, a basement, and maybe a small section for a personal garden. No soldiers, no guns."
He'd give Kaiori a minute to puzzle the idea around in her head, with a look of comfort on his face Tegral could wait and wait and wait for her answer.

*Kaiori laughs a little and straightens up, enjoying the music his heart is making.* That is easily done. *For some reason, even with his honest request she couldn’t picture him making the switch she had. Delicately placing her fingers behind her neck she stretches from leaning over him. The only males who had ever lived here in her sanctuary were usually wounded strays she picked up, or Pet. Sapph would laugh if she knew that another house would be built in this area, but if he held true about no weapons, kaiori couldn't find a reason to refuse.* You can clear cut trees, but you could probably find a clearing somewhere. *She taps her finger on her bottom lip, thinking.* I can keep all the dangers off while you are constructing and the like.

Tegral chuckled, a deep and rich sound full of mirth that most here in the Black Company never chanced to hear it, as he watched Kaiori. Yep, he'd pinned her dead on the head. Relaxing under the stretching Kaiori he was tempted to reach up and caress her cheek, a sign of affection or desire, instead he was content to simply lay there and marvel at her beauty. "Haha, please, Kai, I'm the most dangerous thing in this forest right now. Well, maybe except for your beauty, of course. That'd drive a man to kill himself if he couldn't simply gaze at it." Winking at what might have been a joke he continues to simply lay there, waiting to see how Kaiori would react.l

*Kaiori rolls her eyes and swiftly twists back to her wine.* Saying things like that to a married woman, have you no shame? *She clicks her tongue at him before taking another drink. She was only joking of course, a rebuttal to the blush on her cheeks. She told herself it was the wine, which she had had far too much of.* But if you are serious about this I hope whatever you build is not gaudy like that bloody citadel.

"Shame?" Tegral's eyes widened in a false impersonation of artificial construction, "Does not compute." As with the first word his sentence was said with a voice of an old cackling robot, a jest on his part. After all if you were too up tight to put a bit of a joke on yourself then by all means you needed the stick surgically removed, because you were up tighter than a crab's a**.
Again another rich chuckle came forth, laughing at his own idiocy, as he sat up to lean back against his elbow and watch Kaiori further. She was blushing, body temperature was rising, not only that but she was off balance. She was usually sharper, more tactful with her words. What grounds Tegral had lost it seemed he'd regained. "Oh please, you have to be joking! I spent the last year and a half trying to knock that thing down. No, sweet Kaiori, I'll limit myself to a simple cabin," His voice took on a tone of feigned distress, another jest at himself being too technologically advanced for something as simple as a log cabin, "It'll be a chore to live in a backwards, untechnological, tree house...but I'll manage...somehow!" Grinning he winked at Kaiori, all in good fun, after all. "But in all seriousness, Kai, you can't honestly blame me for pointing out the very real truth that you are a beautiful woman. Your husband is a fool in every way to scorn your affection, whether or not it emotional or physical." His face sobered up a moment, his voice lowering in both pitch and tone, "I'm not gonna be coy about this, my style is usually about as sharp as a sledge hammer anyways. If you ever need anything, Kai, for you or your children I'm only a phone call away. And I'll come, in force if need be, as fast as my machines can travel." Slipping a black cell phone from his front pocket Tegral placed it on the ground and flicked it over to Kaiori. Simple in design, if taken apart and analyzed, it was nothing more than a receiver and transponder adapted to utilize the same frequencies that Tegral himself used for personal communication. Appeared to be made from plastic the front of the phone slid away at the press of a button to reveal a seriest of keys, zero through nine, the pound key, an asterisk, a small red circle, and a small green circle. Just a phone to call a friend if she needed help.

*Kaiori picks up the cell phone, twisting it before her eyes with her delicate fingers.* Hmm…Pretty! Thank you. However I’m sure by now you’ve realized that I can for the most part handle myself. *Even as she says this she is attaching the black phone to a strap on her thigh, which also holds a small blade and another phone, silver, obviously from Griffin considering all his crafts were made from the same daring silver. It seemed that Kaiori only received gifts from men other than her husband, the only token of his she wore was his ring, snugly fitted to her finger.* Again, Thank you. It seems the moment my son began to hold some small amount of power the entire world of BC seemed fit to strike him down. It seems rather funny considering he is just a business man. I have stopped fearing for myself, my only fear is for my children, and your assistance in their protection means the world. *Kaiori sets her chin on her knees. She was speaking in honesty, Griffin didn’t look it anymore but he was still very much a child. Bell acted like a child but she had much more to worry about, even more so than her brother. Kaiori was sure that if she didn’t marry Bell off soon there would be trouble.*

"I know well and true how you can handle yourself." Tegral said, though didn't quite believe. Kaiori was a fierce woman, but she was horribly out classed in this world of struggling titans. Between KB and himself the world should have been destroyed twice again, the forces the two titans possessed were poised on the brink of obliterating everything around them in their clash of gods. "And while I wish I could say I wanted to protect your children simply because they're your's, and I care for you, but I couldn't without lying to you. Griffin possesses the means to bring about the destruction of KB and his vile hold over the Black Company, and without him I'm at a loss of who to turn to." Shifting himself, the conversation wasn't really comfortable for him despite his usually emotionless demeanor, Tegral tried to find a more relaxing pose. He did care for Kaiori, and to a lesser extent her children, but Griffin was an asset to be utilized to it's fullest extent and protected if possible.
"I will say this, though, once my mission is complete I'm going to settle down." Finally finding a, more or less, comfortable seat sitting on the cushion and folding his legs, "Start gardening and let the troubles of the world pass me by. Griffin can rule the world with his Twice Royal, or Mastema can destroy it, so long as who ever is in charge leaves me my little corner I'll be content to stay there. No more armies, I've ravaged this land long enough."

*Kaiori tries to picture Teg gardening and laughter bubbles out from her lips.* Sorry it’s just, in my time of knowing you I would have figured you to be one of those men who would rather die on the battle field then ever settle down. *The wine is running out so she props herself up to stand but finds her muscles have grown loose and she tumbles back onto the cushions with a moan of dizziness.*

Laughing both at Kaiori's laughter and at her sudden stumble back to the cushions. Pushing himself up to his feet Tegral began to walk over towards Kaiori, "I'll have you know," He said as he knelt down beside Kaiori's cushion, "I use to be a farmer before I enlisted. My father and I grew wheat, corn, and barley. My mother had a vegetable garden I use to help out with too." Down at her eye level Tegral couldn't help but smile at her. A sudden thought occurred to him, one that made him smile all the more.
"You know, if I were any other man I'd probably try and take advantage of you right now." Shocking, absolute shocking...Tegral was not only being honest, but civil as well! Now the Apocalypse must be right around the corner. Divulging personal information about his past, resisting the urge to take advantage of a married woman's drunken state, hell he was about to be down right polite here in a minute! "Come on, Kaiori. Griffin'd be pissed if I let you hurt yourself. Let's get you to bed."
And he didn't offer to jump in with her, bah, what a gentleman. There should be more men like that in the world...

*Kaiori wasn’t used to gentlemen; in fact it just seemed strange. It was warm in the room and she felt hazy. She tips forwards and links her fingers behind Teg’s neck. She leans in and whispers into his ear.* Honestly Teg, loosen up will you. *She drags her lips from his ear to his lips and plants him with a firm kiss with the tang of alcohol.*

Coming upon a large vessel, a platinum haired man stopped in his tracks; his long red coat blowing in the wind. Strapped to his back were two swords, and a shotgun. One sword was seemingly made of silver, and the other was pulsing with lightning. On one arm was a spiked gauntlet that seemed to be immersed in flame. On the other, a strange looking device. He was also wearing grieves on his legs that gave off a small amount of light. Under his coat, the handles of two handguns could also be seen. How this man managed to walk around with all this weight was astounding.
However, this odd assortment of weapons was not the strangest thing about this man. For some reason, he did not seem to have a shadow. Eying this vessel up and down, he simply smirked. It was a fine ship indeed...and he wanted to change that. Without further hesitation, he drew his batwinged sword, which pulsed with energy, and raised it high above his head, pointed straight at the heavens. Instantly, several bolts of lightning would come crashing down at the ship.

Slipping his arms around Kaiori's frame, one around her back and one beneath her legs, he hoisted her up into a cradling carry. Lips pressed against hers his body held ridged despite her command to relax, after all he was an Admiral of an interstellar fleet bent on the total annihilation of a single entity...there was a lot to be stressed out about. Aligning himself with her bed room door Tegral proceeded towards it, in Kaiori's drunken state he wasn't quite sure he could resist the urge to hop on in the sack with her, but he needed her in bed where she could rest. The attack on the shuttle was already reported, but the insect who was trying to bite the Admiral's foot was about to get squashed. Entering Kaiori's bed chambers Tegral gently placed Kaiori's luscious form atop her lavish bedding, all the while keeping his lips pressed to hers, kissing gently, testing not only the taste of her kisses but the distance he was permitted to go with his tongue. Sitting on the edge of the bed, kissing Kaiori's lips - which tasted strongly of wine - Tegral came to the conclusion: She was drunk off her rocker.
Meanwhile, outside.
Bolts of lightning crackled in the skies, lanced down towards the Admiral's personal yacht and slammed into the shimmering field surrounding the ship. Being a shuttle to transport high ranking officers of the Fleet this particular shuttle was equip with more advanced systems than it's lesser combat shuttle counter parts. Off shoots of electrical energy spewed off in all directions, arcing up momentarily before hurling itself against the ground to rend the forest floor - outside the Silent Forest - in an electrical storm of fire, earth, and lightning.
Utilizing sophisticated cloaking technology the K-72 units designated to accompany the Admiral on this 'Peace Negotiation' had gone unnoticed by the singular attacker, that is until they returned fire. Crystallized energy, created as a by-product of a mass fabricator, created a perfect projectile munition. More energy per unit of space versus black powder, more destructive energy on impact versus explosive charged ballistics, the whole thing was just above the pay grade of most standardized weapons. According to Rookin, prior the Admiral's entrance of the Silent Forest, the only forces in the area were this team of elite, tactical, soldiers. That was true, for the immediate part. At that area the K-72 units were the only ones at the scene the moment of the attack, but the Second Commander was too paranoid of the Admiral's safety to leave it at that. A dozen Growlers lay powered down a short distance away, several minute walk through the dense over growth of the forest, with twice the number in veteran T-2 borgs buried in shallow holes and covered with a light cover of dirt, twigs, and leave, which sat up like zombies with their arms stretched out in front of them - microbots scurrying along their moving parts with small air cannons, blasting earth from the bends and folds of moving metal.
Anyways, back to the shuttle and the K-72's!
Beams of purplish energy seemed to lash out from the thin of air, a light spark where the beam originated from, but gone so fast it might have just been a trick of the eye or a strobe light gone berserk. First squad was engaging the enemy, second, third, and fourth were moving around to support. As if an unseen enemy that possessed advanced, other worldly, weaponry wasn't enough the shuttle, it seemed, had some teeth as well. There was a dull whine as servos turned one of the ship's 50MM auto cannons - a near useless weapon as far as ship to ship combat goes, but against a person they wouldn't leave enough for a starving crow to eat.
Bad idea, buddy.

*Kaiori was easily moved with little to no complaint. She heard some rumbling outside but considered it might be the roar of her ears from this sudden drunken rush. She relaxes at the feel of her familiar bedding but remains ever attentive. Her hands smooth over Teg’s collar along his neck and up and behind his ears. She stokes there with firm hands even slightly pulling on his earlobes, even in her drunken stupor she was honestly trying to just relax the man. She continues to kiss him openly, she is completely inviting to his every advance,*

At the exact moment of impact from the first attack, the man would seemingly sink into the ground and disappear, leaving nothing but a shadow, which wasn't present before. This shadow dashed into the forest at unbelievable speeds. It wouldn't stop until it got far enough into the forest to meet with... what? The same man who had attacked the ship was already in the forest, walking calmly through, dead silent. He was giving off as few signs of his presence as possible, and wasn't so much as breathing. It seems the machines outside had been, for lack of a better word, Punk'd. The man outside was never real, and had simply been a distraction.
He gave a smirk as his shadow re-joined him. His distraction had worked....at least long enough to grant him admission. The man himself was not interested in destroying machines. It was nowhere near as satisfying as tearing real flesh. Using his heightened senses, he was walking towards the two signs of life that lay inside. He wanted nothing more than to end a life at the moment.
