Cale Darksun
Jorneyman's path to his ship, however, was blocked.
Not by snow, nor landslide, but by a man.
VibroSword in hand, Kenji stood there as the snow came down, cutting Journeyman off from his ship.
"Running away?" The man asked Journeyman. "Just like you ran away from the Light Side of the Force the first time. Figures."

"If you are trying to provoke me then you are failing," Journeyman looked at him. The Jedi did not reach for his lightsaber or make any offense gestures. Instead he spread his arms again to show no ill intent.

"Please move away from my ship. I have left before required d not plan to annoy anyone further."

The man rolled his eyes and sheathed his sword.
"You are a fool, arent you? You don't have any spine whatsoever, you rely entirely on outward appearances, and utterly fail as a Jedi. Even after the tests."
The man hung his head and shook it, clearly disatisfied. "You took the easy way out when I gave you crystals, you lacked the courage to stay longer than three days; utterly pitiful. I had hoped you'd have learned something these last couple of days spent in meditation, but its apparent you're no Jedi."
Kenji turned away still shaking his head. "Go ahead. Leave the planet. But until you realize how to truly be one with the Living Force, you will be no better than a pale imitation of a Jedi."
Kenji turned towards the colony, mumbling about Idiotic Jedi and Stupid apprentices.

((I am not sure how this works but here we go!))

"What did you want me to do?" Journeyman suddenly growled, one hand lifting as he summoned the Force. He use it to lift the man into the air and hold him fast.

"Fight you? Tell you that I am not a fool? A Jedi doesn't need to be understood nor does he need to live up to the hollow views of a tired man."

As the man was lifted into the air, he looked back at him and held his hand out.
The Jedi was thrown back by some invisible force into a snowdrift, breaking his concentration.
Kenji dropped to the ground, his hand resting on his swordbelt and his eyes staring coldly at the fool he had cast into the snow.
"If you did not know what I wanted, then you never will! And a Jedi's motives must be understood for the people he serves to beable to trust his judgement! We are not Sith who sneak about the back alleys rubbing our hands together and conjuring up Grandoise and overcomplicated plans for Galactic domination! We are the Jedi! The Defenders of the weak, Servants to the Living Force!"
Kenji advanced on the Jedi, his imposing frame and confident stride that of a man without fear of his opponent.
"I, am Hiko Shinn. Master of the ways of the Jedi. And the fact that I had to explain to you what I am is proof enough of your failure."

"You choose to ridicule me and confuse me. I came to help and you have turned me away. You are not fit to judge me no matter who you are. I may not be a perfect Jedi, but I am no longer a Sith," Journeyman rose to his feet and looked at the Jedi Master. Now wonder he had proved so difficult. Yet Journeyman had suspect something like this.

"If you reject me you are no better than the Sith. Jedi always seek to enlighten and better others, and you stand only to hurl insults. You are no Jedi anymore."
PostPosted: Tue Nov 21, 2006 8:48 pm

"Help who?! Yourself?! You only came here for the Crystals!"
Hiko snorted in disdain.
"I have been testing you, Moron. I wanted to see how the Jedi of the Galaxy have turned out since the end of the war. But I can see that nothing has changed. You are all as arrogant and foolish as you ever were!"
Hiko Looked up briefly at the overcast sky and continued.

"Emotion, yet peace.
Ignorance, yet knowledge.
Passion, yet serenity.
Chaos, yet harmony.
Death, yet the Force.

That is the Jedi Code. I see none of that in you. As a Master of the Jedi ways, I reserve the right to scold any ignorant little padawan when he fails his lessons. Now get on your ship with your soulless lightsaber and get off Illum. I'm sick of looking at you."

Veers stared outside his viewing window at a familiar Imperial star Destroyer.

"So quickly it has become no more than a troop transport." He mentioned to himself at the formerly christened Slayer, now known as the Enforcer IX. Still, it contained the detachments of troopers that his new ship did not have yet. Apparantly, HQ was going slowly through the Red Tape to pick up new recruits for the ship, but at the meantime, the space was appreciated by the crew.

The clacking of metal on metal signaled HM's approach, as Veers stood at attention. "We ahve nearly prepared to send a detachment down to the surface of Ilium. The first parts of the party have already landed on the surface, and the snowtroopers will wait for a full platoon before going to examine the first of several points we consider the most likely place of crystal formation. The Jedi Temple will be our first point of examination, but I have a gut feeling that its mostly tapped out. We'll have to probably move out into the more undeveloped parts of the planet and mine out the larger specimens."

The droid made little notice. "Report back when the batallion finds anything".

((No more mister nice Jedi...))

Journeyman bowed his head in acceptance, walking to his ship and entering. He looked over his shoulder and yelled.

"One day you will know the damage old fools like yourself cause. Until that day I hope you learn a lesson yourself. You are just as ignorant and arrogant."

He closed the ramp and began to ascend. Already he was reaching out with the force. Who was this man. Who were the colonists. He could feel them nearby....

"Watch that temper, young man." Hiko remarked. "You just might slip into the Dark Side."
As the ship lifted off, Hiko stroked his beard in thought.
"I wonder at what point he'll regret leaving in such a hurry that he completely ignores an Imperial Battlewagon in orbit."
The Jedi shrugged and began martching back to the Colony when he suddenly paused.
He looked skyward once more and frowned.
"Ferno." He stated.
His eyes swept down to judge the snowy terrain about him with a cautious eye.
Then he began to hustle towards the Colony.

Journeyman' ship flew low in the snow as he sensed his way towards the colonists. One hand hovered over the communications array, the other over the weapon controls. He could feel his lightsaber humming even though it wasn't activated.

A Jedi Master had decided to judge him. He was sick of people saying he knew nothing of the Jedi. If this was true than why had he returned. Had he really returned?

Hiko emerged from the snowy wind to stumble upon the Colony, quiet as a tomb.
He narrowed his eyes as he tried sensing out the life in the colony.
He detected none but the herdbeasts.
Over the roar of the wind he heard the reason why.
The Jedi's ship was slowly floating over the colony.
"They must have sought shelter somewhere." He muttered as he made his way towards the ship. "The damn fool is having some kind of battle of morals. Terrific. Even Ferno aught to beable to pick that up."

Archaras spent another hour gambling, came out 500 Credits ahead, and enjoyed a dinner of real food. He spent the night in his freighter. The next morning he re-reviewed the list of Guild Contracts. Then he spotted it.

"Short Fuse! Lynch Engineering needs a cargo of 20 Tonnes of Tibanna Gas ran to Aduba 3 ASAP. Bonus for fast transfer! Payment of 6000 Credits tax free upon delivery."

He tapped the datapad and accepted the contract.

He stood, donned his clothes, and waited an hour while droids loaded the volatile cargo. When they signaled they were complete, Archaras activated his repulsors, ICIS having already gotten permission to do so, and pushed the throttle to 2/3. The ship moved away from the Gas Giant at a very respectable speed. He set the autonav to the System's Edge and the Jump Point, and activated it. The ship cruised without interruption, and Tal'dras practiced his Martial Arts in the common area.

He sat himself down and began playing holo-chess with ICIS. He was horribly overmatched, but they played anyway. He lost ignominously again, and said, "ICIS, dig up what you can about Aduba 3 would you?"

"Alright," replied the AI.

There was a moments pause and Archaras reviewed the game, and then the AI piped up.

"Third planet in the Aduba system, generally its economy is agricultural, growing mostly maze stalk and mizzlegrith moss. Has an interesting history, farcial mining rush, mostly a haven for hiding spacers, interesting history involving some of the old heroes of the rebellion, but that's mostly it. Nothing really of import on it."

Archaras looked up, and stroked his chin for a moment, deep in thought.

"Why the hell would someone want an cargo of Blaster Gas transported to an Agro world...ICIS give me what you can find on Lynch Engineering..." The Echani said.

"Already on it."

There was another pause, and then ICIS said "Lynch engineering is a weapons concern...There's nothing more than that...I can't find out more until I access a primary terminal."

"Well this is strange indeed..." The officer replied.

Archaras chuckled a bit, rose and went to the cockpit, as they were reaching the System's Edge. He checked the navicomputers, and tapped a number of keys, prepping the ship for Hyperspace. ICIS adjusted the route for added speed. Archaras thumbed the activation key, and they ship leapt from our dimension into a cobalt tunnel, headed for Aduba 3...

Journeyman saw the outline of the colony. He could barely pick it up and couldn't tell if anyone was there. He set the ship down near a cluster of rocks a safe distance from the colony.

He called upon the Force to burry his ship in snow and began to head to the colony. He had to talk to the Jedi again.
PostPosted: Tue Nov 21, 2006 9:49 pm

The Jedi Master watched the ship disapear in the driving snow, but still detected the presence of the Jedi aboard.
He sighed and grasped his head in his hand.
"By the Force, now what does he want?"

He strode to the colony until he stood at its edge, looking at the man. He drew his lightsaber but didn't ignite it.

"It is true that I am not a full Jedi. It is true I do not know the Jedi way, I have forgotten it. But it is not true that this new lightsaber has no soul."

((Sorry it takes so long. My internet sucks!))
