Kege shy'd away a little as Lavender touched him, even if Lavender was protecting him, he was prejudice against the way she dressed, it made her look scary and intimidating to him.
Moonreaper continued to make fun, "You are protecting him yet he is afraid to even be around you, just look at the fear and hate in his eyes... on the bright side at least he will actually walk over to you, he wouldn't dare do that with me or Voro..." he commented with a vile cackle.
Kuroi watched as the moon reflected off the calm lake water, the skies were clear other then the occasional floating cloud and the silence around them made it seem so peaceful.

She sighed and looked at Moonreaper "That is because I do not look like I am going to pull out a sword and kill someone."
Cali snuggled in against Kuroi, opening her eyes a little looking around a little

Kege was bothered by Moonreaper's words, he was still frightened, he even closed his eyes for what he was about to do. He ran around to the front of the chair, took another deep breath opening his eyes for a moment to get his bearings and then shut them again before running up and leaping into Lavender's lap, he immediately buried his head against her stomach. His body was shaking and his eyes remained closed. He was truly afraid of being this close to Lavender but didn't want to be afraid of someone who was willing to protect him.
Moonreaper blinked, "That was unexpected, I thought he was going to simply cower next to you" he said looking rather shocked.
Kuroi turned his head slightly, "Is something wrong Cali?"
((Ugh... need sleep work early tomorrow, good night all.))

Maya pushed herself up, letting Spirit tumbled off her with a small tinkling cry. She giggled as she picked up the small creature, rubbing behind his long ears, "Where have you been? Were you sleeping again?"
Spirit flickered one of his ears and looked at Maya, "Of course, there's nothing else to do here." Then he draped himslef across her shoulders, his tufted tail curling around her neck and he went closed his eyes. Maya shook her head, but she stroked his tail and she sat back down on her staff, humming softly.

She wrapped her arms around him and run a hand along his back soothinly "Do not worry Kege, I will not harm you. There is no reason to be afraid."
She shook her head a little "No, its just so peaceful here."

Voro laughed at the kids attempt. "I wouldn't use my sword if i didn't need to. I like the intimate feeling of using my bare hands."

Kege slowly cracked open his right eye, "You promise?" he asked still sounding timid.
Moonreaper scoffed, he wanted to say something to further frighten the child but backed away knowing Lavender would have a mouthful to say about it.
Kuroi dropped down to the ground, the vines on his back moved Cali in front of him, he laid her standing on the ground and then knelt down beside her, he called over one of the small deer, he closed his hand slowly and then reopened it to revealing some strange leaves that grew from his hand. The small deer began to nibble on them. Kuroi began to rub it's back softly and invited Cali to do the same.

Kege began to calm down and relax peacefully, Can I ask you something? Why are you so cold? Maya feels warm.... but your really really cold... and you dress oddly..." he commented."
Kuroi smiled at Cali, "Do you like animals?" he asked curiously.

She sighed a little "Ask whatever you wish. I am cold because technically my body is dead, it has no way to keep warm sense my heart does not beat unless I will it to." She moved and took his hand resting it over her heart that was completely still today "I dress how I wish to, if it is odd it is because I have lived a long time and tend to mix styles."
Cali nodded "I do, they are calim and caring and they do not look down on you just because of your blood." She kept running her hand along the deer's side

Maya tilted her head towards Lady and Kege when she heard her name being mentioned. Then she turned her eyes to Moonreaper, "What's so funny?"

Voro sighed and began to slightly fidget and his eyes around the edges began to turn a bright crimson. He looked at Moonreaper to see him smiling and didnt ask for he knew why.

Moonreaper turned to Maya, "I am not laughing, I am merely bored... I have done everything anyone could ever imagine and I have spent so much time watching so much that simply nothing really amuses me any longer".
Kege gave Lavender an odd befuddled look, "If your dead how can you talk?" he asked very interested and curious about Lavender, it was adorable to see him like this with a mind filled with wonder.
The ground shook slightly, the sudden noise sent the birds in the trees to the air, the deer even galloped away. From behind Kuroi and Cali came a grizzly bear. Kuroi stood up and moved towards it his eyes even glowing green. He moved back a step and placed his hand on Cali. Kuroi's mouth didn't move but you could hear him speaking.
"Did you really have to do that? You are frightening the more peaceful animals..."
A voice replied, "I have come to see you... I have a favor to ask of you...."
The bear began to approach a little closer, it turned to it's side, a spot on his side was covered in blood. The bear had been shot.

She smiled at Kege "I am a vampire, vampires are what are called undead. We are dead but because of a certain virus that happened a long time ago, and is in our blood. The genetics in our body are changed and we are still able to live after our heart stops. I was born with that blood already in me." She tried to make it simple enough for the kid to understand.
Cali moved and hid her face against Kuroi's leg, trying to ignore the bears blood "It is hurt. Who would do such a thing on Mother's lands. The bears are protected on the property that are not supposed to be harmed or hunted." Her voice was soft

Maya blinked at him, "You've done everything? Does that mean you're married?" She leaned towards him on her staff, her eyes sparkling, "Well, are you?
