Adele nodded, but the kind of hurt she knew she'd get Rue could do nothing about. She hadn't ever wanted to face Marius after that.

"LEts' just get some sleep okay?" Rue said, his hand resting lightly on his chest. He could feel that she was hurting already.

Adele nodded and slowly stood. She went over to the bed and layed down, patting the spot next to her. "Here," she said. "Lay here."

"...But," Rue was going to protest but he moved and lay down anyway. His body moving on its own is pretty scary.

"So you respond like that to orders," Adele noted, seeming to have just noticed. "Sorry..." She rolled onto her side, facing away from Rue. She pulled up the covers over her.

Adele turned around swiftly and hit him upside the head as best as she could. "Shut up!" she cried. "You're a person!"

Adele gasped when she realized what she'd done. "I-I'm so sorry, Rue!" she cried, looking horrified.

Rue sat down without thinking. He silently looked at his knees, eyes wide. He suddenly realized that she had a lot more control over him than he thought.
