She snorted, "Will you relax. They just need a little time to rest and reboot. I needed to see if my formula for you worked before I entered any restoration cycles."

He smiled gently "Thanks... for thinking it was important. But seriously Darkfang.. in the future... rest first if you need it. " He shrugged "I'm not going to die faster just because your not here.."

He laughed "It wouldn't have happened and now it can't. So you can go rest and then if you want... work on the stabilization stuff..."

"Yeah..." she said as she started back towards her lab. It was difficult for her to describe what she was experiencing...maybe her emotion chip was damaged. There was no logical reason for her to be feeling so...off.

He sighed and went back inside... resigning himself to whatever was waiting for him. Which around a week later had him bound back to the house and Chev off somewhere else. He didn't tell Idan where he was going but wanted to make sure Idan didn't go anywhere.. so here he was... bound again... bored... and unable to even take a walk outside. He pouted to himself.. his life sucked...

Darkfang frowned as she walked along the path. She still hadn't had any luck in her experiments. Even though some methods allow her test cell group to stabilize for a brief period of time, nothing held significantly. Worse, some treatments cause the cells to stabilize for a short period of time but then they quickly deteriorated...into nothing. After a fifth such result Darkfang had to get out of her lab, yet another unusual occurrence. There once was a time when she could spend days even weeks in her lab without a second thought but these days she felt...restless. She let her hooves carry her where they would but was surprised when Idan's home came into view. "Why here? They don't need to see me, I haven't made any progress..."

Ida was taking his 223rd walk around the house and paused at the window after seeing a dark shape outside. He smiled when he saw Darkfang and waved, opening the window "Hey Darkfang.. how's the experiments going?"

She groaned and muttered to herself, "Of course he would be walking by the window right this second....Lousy!" she called ahead to him.
