In Reply to Blade's question, Neko pointed as he started to shuffle the girls along and holding Tobi with one arm. "Back the way we-....." He had caught sight of the creature that apparently was the new cause of worry. Yuki was close and Atticus was well on his way with the creature close behind. But where was......Riyo? Neko had failed to see the transformation so he couldn't be for sure, but there was a nagging idea in his mind that he would have to address later. Possibly next week if they were all still alive. "Back the way we came!" He yelled again before he pushed the girls along trying to usher them into safety. In all the mess, he had completely forgotten about Deacon.

Blade's eyes were quickly scanning through the crowd for familiar faces. He spotted Atticus with little problems, however what was an issue was the thing that tailed him.
Of all the people to go after, it just had to chase him...
Momentarily forgetting about the collar, he made the motions as if he was about to lob a fireball at the creature in an attempt to help Atticus out from afar. No flames were produced, and his actions only ended up with him flinching and crying out as a jolt ran through his entire body.
"Damn..." he growled under his breath.

It was probably a good thing Blade's attack backfired, because the creature appeared to be wearing down. The black ooze began to loose it's form... But Atticus wasn't about to look back and see.
In a moment of great comical cliche, Atticus just happened to be so caught up in running the hell away that he didn't notice an incline in the ground, which made him fall face first into the dirt.
He quickly flipped himself over to assess how long he had to live. Not long, since as soon as he looked up, there it was. And down came a huge paw on his shoulder.
His eyes regained that dull look of neutrality as he stared up at the beast, all too familiar with this kind of death scene. "Go on. Kill me. Rip me limb from limb. Then I'll be dead and you'll be miserable for killing me. Martyr." He made no struggle to fight for his life. That'd only make it worse. He just laid there, intently meeting stare with stare.
That's when it started getting weird. The creature began shaking, as if something had just struck it with a bat and... It collapsed.
The blackness melted away, and there Riyo was. Sleeping like a baby, a sort of serene look on her face.
And there was Atticus, with black all over his face and suit, as if he'd shaken a quill pen too hard.. For a moment, he laid there on the ground, pondering. Was all this worth it? He could go home, wear ear plugs for the rest of his life around his mom, and chloroform Jessee into a dark alley somewhere. Then he could regain some of his peaceful life.
"... It's not worth it." He mumbled and sat up, looking down at the dead weight for only a moment before he pushed her off and stood up. Romanticism? I think not. You try being chased by a monster who just killed two people and see if there's still a 'mood' there.
"Wake up." Atticus shouted down at her while attempting to clean off his suit.

[OMGWHY. This post is going to suck. I have nothing to contribute for all of the madness, lmao.]
Hitsu had been too frightened to move from her spot in witness of Mitsu's transformation. It wasn't until she had calmed and nearly collapsed that Hitsu rushed to her and Tobi, trying to look the dog over first since that was what Mitsu had requested. Silently, she could only hope that the injuries could be fixed, but she didn't think she could be the one to fix them.
It was about this time that Yuki had appeared alongside her and pulled Hitsu and Mitsu to their feet as quickly as he could. "We have to get out of here," he said hurriedly. Neko and Blade came to them shortly thereafter. Atticus was coming toward them, being chased by... Riyo?
Thankfully, as terrifying as that being confirmed was, Riyo seemed to fall back into her normal senses.
As Neko shoved the girls in the direction they needed to go to get themselves out of here, Yuki jumped down from the stage and to Atticus and Riyo. "Help me pick her up, before something else happens." Not like this day could get much worse, but Yuki sure as hell didn't want to test it.

A quick glance behind told him that Yuki was accounted for now as well. All that left was Riyo.
Turning his attention quickly back towards the beast, he soon found that the creature was nowhere to be found. And for a moment, neither was Atticus. This was soon remedied as he spotted the guy on the ground, with Riyo seemingly sleeping peacefully on top of him. At this, he furrowed his brow, suddenly realizing the beast was Riyo.
Though, right now wasn't the time to be wondering how or why that had happened, as they needed to get going before more people try to stop them.
Blade was just about to hop back down from the stage but Yuki had beat him to the punch. Figuring he and Atticus can handle the blonde on their own, he glanced about to make sure everything was clear before backing up and following Neko. His movements tensed briefly as pain sparked up from the cut, but he gritted his teeth and pressed on as quickly as the pain would permit.

Everyone seemed to be rounding up. Neko silently thanked whatever god or higher being there might be as he shuffled the girls along and back into the hallways that had led them to the auction block. It seemed to be a maze but luckily he remembered where they were going and soon found the back stage area and the wagon. At first he thought about just gathering up their things and making a run for it. But there seemed to be virtually no one around and a few unmanned horses nearby. So hell with it....why not take the wagon? At least it was the one that bandits had used and not the cage they had been kept in. A quick look in the back confirmed all their stuff was still there....along with a few bonuses. Setting Tobi gently down inside, Neko turned back to Blade and the girls hoping the others weren't far behind.
"Hitsu, help Mitsu inside. Blade, help me hook up the horses." Not another word was uttered as Neko went about his task of rounding up the horses they would need and leading them back to the wagon.
Mitsu had not been much help in the walking process. Sure she could stand on her own but her strength was gone entirely. She stumbled and tripped the whole way, at some point losing the silly shoes that Tessa had made her wear. At least walking without them was much easier. When they were finally at the back stage area Mitsu was almost relieve to hear Neko tell them to get into the wagon. Bless him there would be no walking or running involved.

Blade kept up to the best of his ability, though all the chaos and constant action was starting to wear him down. The running didn't make his back feel any better either. Thankfully, the wagons were in sight. Once there, he had to take a moment to catch his breath.
Hearing Neko, he glanced back up at the guy and nodded his head tersely before following him to grab the horses. Hopefully the animals will be rather cooperative with them as he really didn't want to have to deal with a bunch of stubborn horses right now. Of course, there was that one thing a man named Murphy once told him, "Anything that can go wrong, will go wrong."

Sure, that was easy for him to say. Lets pick up the thing that almost mutilated you beyond recognition.
... Atticus wasn't sure why he was having such a hard time coping with this whole ordeal. It was just... That image. That shape she took on. It was horrifyingly familiar to the point that it almost sent chills up his spine.
Nevertheless, he swallowed his snide remarks and helped Yuki lift the snoozing girl off the ground without a word. He, like everyone else, wanted to get out of here and leave this place in the dust.

Hitsu had done her best to help lead Mitsu to freedom, a but awkwardly but quickly enough to not get too far behind Neko. She'd complied to Neko's request, though she'd planned to help Mitsu all along.
"Careful now," Hitsu cautioned, as she hopped up into the back of the carriage and reached down to help pull Mitsu up as well.
With Atticus' aid, Yuki caught up soon after with Riyo. "Put her in the back too, we'll keep an eye on her just in case she's not herself when she wakes up."
Not herself? Yuki honestly had to wonder just what classified as 'herself' at this point.

Whatever higher being was out there was finally smiling upon the group. Neko, with Blade's help, was able to hook up the horses easily enough. Once they were hooked up to the wagon, Neko jumped up into the driver's seat and took up the reigns.
"Get in!" Only waiting a few seconds for the final few to pile in Neko lifted the reigns and snapped them down forcing the horses forward. Circling around he headed for the exit just as the straggling guard made their way to the back. They were far too late, however, as the carriage pushed passed the doorway and out into the night. The cool air was a refreshing reprieve from the stuffy auction house they had just endured.
"How's everyone doing back there?"
---
Mitsu waited patiently as Hitsu climbed into the wagon ahead of her and helped her up. Once in the carriage Mitsu quickly settled down next to Tobi. "Is he going to be alright?" Mitsu seemed to be fighting sleep as she laid down next to Tobi, resting a hand on his head. The dog was still alive though he was very weak now from the bleeding. Luckily the blood flow had slowed but the wound would need attending to soon.
"He'll be alright won't he?" She looked to Hitsu for an answer as her fellow companions finally caught up with them and piled into the carriage.

Once all the horses were hooked up, Blade crawled into the back with the others. He was looking a bit pale from everything but things could have gone much worse there. As the cool air hit him, he took in a deep breath, glad to be away from that place. One thing was for certain... he won't be returning there any time soon.
"Could be better," he said in reply to Neko as he sat against the wagon's wall. A few drops of blood trickled down onto the 'floor' as a result.
Now that things have calmed some, he looked around at the others. Riyo was out cold, but she seemed to be just asleep and nothing more. Then there was Tobi... the poor dog was not looking too good at all. There was nothing he could personally do, except maybe try to seal some of his wounds, but considering what he'd have to do it probably wouldn't be of much help here. Burning the dog probably would put him in a worse condition at this point.
Gritting his teeth, he closed his eyes for a few moments, deciding not to speak up about his own injury for the time being. They seemed to be worried enough about Tobi already.
"Oh yeah... can someone get this collar off of me..?" he mumbled, not quite certain who had the key at the moment. But it seemed like he was the only one who still had the thing.

At Yuki's words, Atticus couldn't help but scoff, his mind in the same place. Herself? The one thing the girl seemed to lack besides self-control was consistency. You uncovered a new secret every day... Not that he wasn't familiar with most of the dirty laundry her family held. But even he got surprises.
Hauling her over to the wagon, he threw gentleness to the wind and sort of shoved her in. She probably couldn't feel it. She was sleeping so sound that Atticus could almost see the drool hanging from the side of her mouth. Charming. Before he had time to linger on his thoughts, Neko rallied the horses and, with only a few moments to spare, he jumped in.
"As alright as bruised and beaten ex-slaves can be, I supposed." Was Atticus's sarcastic response to Neko's question. Without a word to Blade, he pulled the key out of his pocket and tossed the precious item in his direction. Taking a seat, the doctor glanced around at the other passengers of the freedom wagon, his eyes resting on the almost motionless dog. Atticus hadn't needed to see what happened to make an educated guess. The small pool of blood and the concerned girls hovering over him did most of the explaining.
With any luck, he may be able to rectify that. With one more look around the wagon, he spotted his medical bag badly camouflaged under their original clothing. His hand quietly grabbed the visible part and pulled it back. "Would you like me to fix him?" Atticus asked softly, his eyes on Tobi. He was no vet, but animals bleed just like humans, and the science probably wasn't too different.

Neko didn't take the time to glance back as he steered. Maneuvering a horse drawn wagon was new territory, though so far it seemed to be going well. He just hoped he was headed in the right direction. There wasn't much to the town but Neko was tired, hungry and a little disoriented so he wasn't sure which way to go. All he was concerned with at the moment was getting as far away from their previous location as possible.
"Just hang tight, we'll be out of this hell hole soon enough," Neko called back.
He just hope everyone was fairing well enough. Though he hadn't gone unscathed in the incident, his wounds had already healed. The large gashes his had sustained were mere irritated red lines and the other smaller wounds were already completely gone. But he knew not everyone had his regenerative abilities so hopefully no one was too badly hurt.
---
Mitsu turned tired dull eyes in Atticus' direction. "Please....please help him." She tried to move back a bit to give Atticus enough room to work leaving Tobi to whine in response. Mitsu generated quite a bit of heat and had eased a little of the dog's discomfort at least as far as the cold.
Too tired to move any further, Mitsu simply settled down not far from Hitsu and Blade. Though her mind and body wanted to shut down she fought off sleep as she carefully watched over Tobi and what was being done. She wanted to make sure everything was going to be okay. Surely it would, right? Atticus knew what he was doing....didn't he?
"He'll be alright won't.....he?" Mitsu had turned toward Blade to get reassurance but had spotted a familiar color. It was hard to tell with his dark jacket but there were red splotches on the floor next to him. Slowly and groggily Mitsu moved toward him and reached out to touch the tattered material at Blade's shoulder were the color of the fabric was distorted. Maybe it was her eyes playing tricks or was Blade hurt too?

Seeing a glint of light as Atticus tossed something, Blade brought his hand up to catch the small object. Sure enough, he saw that it was a key once he opened his hand to see it.
"Thanks," he said before feeling around the collar. In a few moments a soft click was heard and he was free from the contraption. Grinning mildly, he went ahead and tested himself quick, producing a quick and small flame at the tip of his index finger.
Satisfied with that, he turned his attention back over towards the group huddling around the dog. Atticus was a doctor, so hopefully the guy could help out Tobi there. When Mitsu turned towards him for reassurance, he nodded and smiled faintly.
"I'm sure he'll be just fine... Atticus is a pretty good doctor you know," he said while relaxing himself to the best he could.
The disoriented parts of the fabric was moist, and if Inu were to check, it would have left a small red stain on her hand.

Mitsu touched the fabric of his jacket feeling that it was moist to the touch. Drawing back her hand she saw her finger tips stained with the familiar red liquid. Brows furrowed in worry she looked up at Blade, her eyes still trying so hard to fight sleep. "Blade's hurt too."
Hearing only a part of what was going on Neko dared a glance back but couldn't see much of what was happening. He was too worried about keeping his eyes on the road to fully assess the situation. "What's going on?"
"Blade....and Tobi," was all Mitsu seemed to be able to get out. It was obvious her body was winning the battle to sleep. Every time she blinked it took her longer to open her eyes and her thought pattern was a bare minimum.
"Blade and Tobi what?" Neko prompted still unable to see. He was hoping Yuki would at least answer. He hadn't heard from the b*****d in a while. It would be nice to know he was still alive. In fact......DAMNIT! Neko cursed mentally trying to keep from verbalizing his new frustration. He had completely forgotten about Deacon and he needed to let Yuki know. It was a mystery as to why their fellow feline was so far out here in the desert but Neko was certain it was because he was up to no good.
