Whooo! -does victory dance-
We had a lip sync competition yesterday, with choreography and all that good stuff. The group I was in with ivysaurusrex (Ivy), tedbearluver (Angela), silvercat17 (Katie), Bonnie and Anita, won third place in the large group division.
And Ivy and Krystal (azndancecutie23)'s group won second in the small group division.
Wheee!

Ooh! So in Ancient Runes (LA) we received an assignment to rewrite one of the chapters of the Aeneid by using their plot, but a new world and new characters. I decided to write it using Harry Potter...
Any ideas? The chapter I'm re-writing involves a visit to the underworld and the realizing of the future. XD
I'm probably going to write it on Tom Riddle's visit to Grindelwald...
You think that'll work?

That would be a great idea! You should also include where the dementors came from, maybe from the underworld or something like that? Just the origins of that would be awesome in a story!

I'll try to incorporate as much of it as I can into the visit to Grindelwald. ^ ^
This will be fun...
There isn't very much information about Riddle's childhood in the books, so I have mostly free reign. In addition to my Ancient Runes professor to never having read Harry Potter (horrible, yes I know...)

And the assignment is terrific. I think your idea is great, and also para's! I would tend not to use Tom Riddle, since he was afraid of death and wouldn't want to visit the underworld (that could make a terrific story in itself - why he became so obsessed with conquering death. The three headed dog who guarded the gates to the underworld is Cerebus, probably Fluffy's
dad or uncle.
I'd write it about the ghosts. Why they made the choice or were given the task of completing business (or not). But they'd experienced death and now are sorta back and what the experience was like. And I would love to read it before or after you turn it in! Maybe you'll start a thread?

I did read a really thoughtful FF recently about Fred Weasley coming back joyously to his duty to keep Hogwarts from getting too stuffy. Peeves saluting him and becoming his awed assistant.
Without the May points, and even with Drake's 50 points for special services, we are well in the lead for the House Cup! Woo Hoo!
Off to finish posting the House Points and get my notes organized for the announcement(s)!
