Liv groaned in her head as Lavi pried her for information. She should have known he probably wouldn't let her go that easily. She bit her lip a little and tried to give him a look that said 'I can't talk about it with Luci around'. She doubted that entire phrase would come across to him exactly.
"Luci, how would you like to go outside and play for a while? Lavi can come with us," she added to make sure the girl would be satisfied.
She woke from her little daydream and gasped, "Yes! Please~"
Liv smiled and then looked to Lavi, tilting her head towards the hall, indicating for him to come along.

When they got outside to the lush grounds that belonged to the Order, Luci bolted off immediately.
Liv let off a little relieved sigh, worried that Luci might not want to leave Lavi's side for a second, "Don't go too far, Luci!" she called after and then folded her hands as she walked beside Lavi through the grounds.
"I'm sorry Lavi, I just...I don't want to talk about things in front of Luci if I can help it. I know she's mature for her age, but she's still just a child," she explained.

When Liv suggested they go outside, Lavi went back inside his room to quickly put his boots on and followed the two to the grounds. "I understand..." He nodded as Liv explained her reluctance to speak, watching Luci run off. He said nothing as they walked, glancing at her from the corner of his eye, waiting for her to start speaking if she wanted to tell him what was bothering her.

When Lavi didn't pry her for more information she sighed. She knew she'd have to tell him regardless, but she didn't even know how to start. I mean it was such a simple thing to tell someone, that you've simply broken up with the person you were with. But in a way it was the most difficult thing in the world.
Her voice was quiet as she started, her eyes downcast, "The reason Luci has come to live at the Order now....is because..Tyki and I..are no longer together anymore. And we both decided it would be for the best if Luci was in my custody."
