Lavi and the Hammer "You live here now?" Lavi repeated after her, glancing at Liv. It didn't seem like such a strange turn of events, Liv was her mother, after all, and she was just a little girl. As far as he was concerned, her affiliations with the Noah weren't that much different from Liv's. He just hoped her father had agreed with this arrangement and wouldn't come looking for her.
Besides, despite only having met her once, he quite liked the little girl who had aided him on his quest. "Well, I'm sure you'll like it here." Lavi smiled at her and nodded assuringly. Unclasping her hands from around his middle, he broke the hug to squat down to her level, holding onto her hands. "I never got the chance to really thank you for helping me, Luci." He was sure that if it hadn't been for her showing him where Sil was being kept, he wouldn't have found her in time. "So, thank you. I'll buy you a present next time I'm in town, ok?"
Their eyes met when Lavi glanced to her, and Liv's eyes immediately darted away. She would have to explain it to him later, but now wasn't the time with Luci around. She didn't want to bring Tyki up around her if it could be helped, especially when it involved the issue of them no longer being together. She looked back again when Lavi bent down to thank the little girl, a smile spreading on her face, until....
Liv tried waving her arms behind Luci's back to get Lavi's attention, but the damage had already been done. "A PRESENT!?" Luci screamed with joy. She didn't really appreciate the lovely 'thank you' after that. All she knew was he was going to buy her a present, "Present present present! Mommy did you hear!? Lavi is buying me a present!"
Luci proceeded to jump through the doorway past Lavi, spinning around behind him. She leaped on his back and hugged around his neck, letting her legs kick and dangle in an excited manner. She continued to utter the word 'present' under her breath to herself, so overjoyed.
Liv put her palm over her face and hung her head. Luci always seemed to have so much energy. She wondered if there would be a day it stopped, but somehow didn't think it would happen. Had she been like that when she was a little girl? Her face paled at the thought.
