(( Thanks everyone! <3
Sil: Have a good day~ *Waits for her to come back~* >: ) ))
Kiah was too busy laughing to notice Kanda come running up behind her, giggles turning into a gasp of surprise when he held her above the ground with her feet still running. The vanilla cone fell from her grasp before she knew it, leaving her weaponless. She would have been embarrassed if he wasn't using her hair as a towel, causing her to yell in mock outrage and try not to laugh as much.
"Hey! Not the hair, not the hair, not the hair!" she whined, kicking her feet out to try and get free. When she felt the pressure leave her head she hung limply, bringing a hand around to feel the sticky snarls in her blonde locks. "Urrrrgggg... You are so lucky I ran out of ammo...," she twisted her head around to glare at him and realized how close he was, making her blush instantly.

"Never should have said chocolate was better."
He had a smug look on his face when she finally stopped struggling, convinced he had won that fight. It wasn't until she turned her head to try and look at him that he too realized the closeness of their proximity. He looked at her face and his own cheeks grew warm, turning pink again. It took him a second before he could pull his eyes away, and he cleared his throat as he set her down. He kept looking down as he started to brush himself off and straighten his clothes.

Kiah stared at him until he let her down, turning her head away and taking a few steps forward while trying to comb through her hair with her fingers. "It still is...," she mumbled stubbornly, still fighting the blush down.
When she was relatively calm she looked back at him as he fidgeted with his coat, coughing into her hand. "How about we... go to the book shop for a little bit?" she asked, giving up on her hair as she shrugged a bit. She lifted her arm up to take his before nervously putting it to her side again, walking in the direction of the shop.

He heard her comment but just smiled at it as he kept straightening himself. He looked up when she addressed him.
"Alright."
He was going to take her arm until she dropped it and started towards the shop without him. He frowned, wondering if he had done something wrong. He just followed a few steps behind her, keeping quiet and contemplating.

Looking behind her every so often to make sure he was following, Kiah was feeling a little more vulnerable than she had when he was right next to her. She opened up the shop doors and started scanning the shelves when she didn't notice anyone around to greet them.
"Do you like to read at all?" she whispered, blowing the dust off of the books and coughing when the particles came back at her face. She could practically feel the dust collecting in her sticky hair.

He followed her around through the rows of shelves, not really looking at much for himself. He watched to see what books she picked up or seemed interested in. He replied in a hushed tone, following her lead.
"Yes. I read non-fiction books mostly. Not like the book you had the other day. Alice in Dreamland?"
He wasn't sure of the title but had thought it was something like that.

(( Jack: Oh hey there~ ; D I'd join you, but Kiah makes a hideous crossdresser. :'D ))
"Wonderland...," she corrected offhandedly, randomly picking up different genres of books to look at as she walked. "Why the non-fiction ones?" She walked over to that section and started looking through, grabbing a few that seemed to look interesting.
"I prefer fiction... but as long as it's got a good story, I don't care what it is," Kiah stated, bringing a book closer. She examined the cover and put it back quickly, turning a little pale at the gorey scene on it. She wiped her hands on her dress a bit self consciously, walking over to the fiction section and thinking about the man that had appeared a few days ago.
