"Kyle! KYLE!" Kiah yelled at the door in front of her, banging on it loudly. She was frustrated because she knew he was probably in too deep of a sleep to hear her. "I know you're in there! You said you'd go to town with me today!"
After a few more minutes of door abuse, Kiah heaved a sigh and walked away, heels clicking on the marble floors. She'd been a little nervous to go out by herself after the incident, and was sure Sil would kill her if she did, but there was no helping it if Kyle wouldn't go with her. He probably could have kept her distracted from thoughts of blood and gore while they went to get her pills...

He hadn't noticed her clothing at first, since his eyes were trained on his face. But when she started to fidget, he couldn't help but look. She seemed dressed up, like she was planning to go somewhere. He couldn't help thinking for a second that she looked nice. When he laid eyes on the gun he remembered how a while back now she had gotten a gunshot to the side. He guessed that she was carrying it for protection, if she was in fact going out.
"I'm..fine. Are you going somewhere?"
