Not big enough for a person, but the air from the boiler itself...
Snow, do you know if there's a ladder in here?

l-lellboy *nods, sipping his beer* Duty calls, just as ever. "Ours is not to question why, ours is but to do, and die."
..only, y'know, hopefully not the dying part. *Knocks on wood again.*
Not that you need old superstitions to keep you afloat. wink

Bigby Wolf Not big enough for a person, but the air from the boiler itself... Snow, do you know if there's a ladder in here? ::blinks:: Did you not hear anything I just said? ::frowns:: I think there's one in the closet over there. I saw it when we were decorating for the ball.

l-lellboy *shrugs at Mitchell's comment* Well, Ryerstad picked a pretty lousy place to kick it as far as the rest of the community is concerned. Just when everyone could really use a good stiff drink, the bar got put off-limits. gonk Right? It was very rude and inconvenient of him. xp There should be a ladder in the closet, but I don't know if it's a full one.

Natalia Romanova *Knocks on wood again.*
Not that you need old superstitions to keep you afloat. wink Hey now. Old superstitions can come in handy. For reassurance if nothing else. S'part of why I keep so many charms on me; plenty of 'em work in the right situation.
Hey Bigby, I don't know if they've got a ladder, but maybe I could give you a boost? *stands up and walks over to Bigby, trying to judge how high it is to the ceiling*

I heard you, Snow. You'll get over it. Or you can be useful and grab me that ladder.
::still looking up, reaches. His fingers don't even reach the bottom of the heat register, though. The ducts are only a foot wide::

Ms Clarice Ferguson exactly, Susan! Although I don't have quite as much to worry about as you. xp Oh Clarice, your time will come... your time will come. Sleep well while you can. wink *Looks up*. What's everyone looking at anyway ?.

Uh.
Actually, Snow, I was kind of hoping that you'd...
::points upwards towards the heat register::
I mean, I've got these big clumsy hands, and it's up there pretty high...

::holds the ladder steady for her::
Just climb up there and see if you can get the heat register off. I have a feeling that anything that was in the boiler may have been updrafted into the heating ducts....

::gulps::
You're lucky I like you, Bigby. I'm not the steadiest person on the ground, much less a ladder..
::slowly steps up the ladder, fiddling with the register.::
It's a little rusty....
::pulls at it a few times until finally the cover comes off in her hand::

Fragments of burnt paper flutter down, the smallest breeze either obliterating them or sending them flying throughout the Bistro.
