Sil wasn't surprised by the scolding; she was being a bit of a wuss and she knew it. Part of her was a little afraid of controlling her level two's, who when not given proper direction moved on their own. The idea of her Innocence reacting out of it's own choice was awkward enough.
The face that Sil made at the sight of Maria could hardly be explained. It was somewhere between disgust and horror. "Ugh, you did that on purpose," she complained, sticking her tongue out for a moment as if to let the air get a bad taste out of her mouth, and she quietly muttered for her Innocence to activate. The silvery scales bled through the specially made gloves, turning her hands and forearms into armored scales. As she stood there, her face was set in determined concentration, and after a few slow breaths the silvery scales started to melt away as well, floating into the air like emerald snowflakes. As they peeled away, her left arm turned a remarkable tattoed black with a smooth ring wrapping around her elbow and her right turned white with a similar pattern.
The scales formed quickly, expanding to create gigantic bodies of two massive serpants. The black one, whom she fondly named Scuro, was nothing short of horrifying in it's appearance. His mouth was filled with rows of razor sharp fangs, a dancing serpent tongue and jagged blade-like protrusions along his malleable spine. Leche was far softer in appearance, and though his skin was tougher and a brilliant white, the growths along his back and spine were for nothing but protection. Two sets of brilliant green eyes stared at her, as if saying, "What the hell do you need us for?" Their heads bobbed slightly, eyes still trained on her.
"Don't look at me like that," Sil said, probably looking a little crazy talking to her Innocence. "He's the one that made me. Go complain at him. And eat that creepy girl while you do it." With a delicate twist of her arms, she gave both of them the command to move forward, her arms sliding out straight, and the two snakes moved towards Cross and Maria. Despite their size, they moved at a frightening speed, slithering across the grounds, and once they were nearly at the woman she felt the connection between them weakening significantly. The snakes tried to stop, but she quietly snarled "Don't you dare" and pushed the connection hard, forcing them a few feet further.
Apparently Scuro had actually listened to his mistress's words, because his jaw unhinged as he looked at Maria with the intention of eating the specter. Sil didn't have any intention in stopping him either... after all, she could make him spit her back out if she wanted to. "How far do you want them to go?" Sil called, her voice was weakening a little under the strain of maintaining control of the two. "They're cranky you woke them up without any Akuma to eat."

Cross smirked at her disgust at the sight of Maria. He had forgotten her distaste for his second Innocence, and hadn't actually called her forth just to bother her. The effect was just lucky for him that time, "Is that complaining I hear?" he called to her.
He watched closely at the rather hauntingly beautiful sight that was her Innocence activation. He hadn't seen it for some time and he was always taken aback by it, even moreso then. He watched the stark concentration in her face, feeling the willpower to control flowing from her across the entire room. He chuckled at the way she verbally directed the serpents, as if they were living entities all themselves. And in a way they were.
He knew from experience the snakes had, dare he say, personalities. In the very least, if Sil was in extreme danger, they would act of their own accord to protect her. Innocence had been known to do this in the past, just as Allen's had so long ago when the Noah Tyki had attempted murder. Even though her Innocence could undoubtedly do this if the time arose, it was important that she learned to control it herself so she wouldn't be put into such a situation to begin with.
He could hear the strain in her voice but he kept pushing, "As far as possible, Bakadecchi!"
Maria floated in anticipation, ready to swoop backwards further should the creatures' jaws come too close for comfort.
