"Hey there missy, I didn't say what kind of catch," Sil shook her head a little bit, not seeming too upset that Liv had gone a tiny bit on the defensive. If the shoe had been on the other foot she would have too, but sometimes being a little irritated was better than wallowing in heartbreak. She preferred anger over that frigid ache any time. "You know me. I'm about as relationship savvy as a rock. I just thought his accent was amazing and he seemed almost painfully cheery for that ungodly hour in the morning. Damn good pancakes, though."
The added bit onto the end though, Sil felt a little stab, completely unsure how to take that comment. "What's that supposed to mean...?" She asked, words slow with a gentle crease between her eyebrows. She really had no idea what Liv was trying to insinuate.

When Sil turned on her for the last comment she couldn't say that she wasn't expecting it. She had said it with purpose after all. She looked at the girl with eyes that said 'really?'. She brushed the woman's arm gently and spoke with a soft tone, "Sil...you know that as oblivious as you are with relationships, I'm equally opposite. You know that I see everything...."

Sil returned her look with one of true and utter confusion. At first she had honestly thought she meant to scold her for somehow not doing right by Lavi, which she honestly worried about. What they had wasn't ideal and she was painfully aware of it, but she had enough faith in him to think that he would say something if he was discontent. "I really don't get what you mean," she said softly, the note of confusion still evident, feeling a little ashamed by what she thought Liv was insinuating. She glanced down at her hands, which she started to wring. "I pay as much attention as I can, given the awkward circumstances."

Liv blinked, surprised that she honestly didn't understand. She laughed then and shook her head, "No no no, I know you do. You love him very much, anyone could see that. I know he means so much to you. But...Sil...I know that Cross still means just as much to you...I know that you're still in love with him," she said as gently as possible, grasping Sil's hand, "You broke it off so suddenly...I know that you didn't do it because you aren't in love with him anymore..."
Liv wasn't sure exactly why Sil did break things off with Cross, but she was certain of what the reason wasn't. It pained her to see Sil and Cross part as they did. She cared about both of them greatly, and everyone could see how painful it was.
