When they got to the park Liv gave Luci directions on how far she was allowed to stray, making her repeat them back exactly to be certain. Luci immediately ran off to play in the trees instead of the wooden jungle gym. Liv took a seat at a nearby bench, indicating for Sil to join them.
It was a lovely day and for once clear skied shone overhead, no clouds looming over them with threats of downpour. There was a light breeze in the air and low humidity, making for an overall lovely atmosphere. Liv smiled at Sil and started the real conversation since Luci was out of earshot, "I could have sworn that I mentioned her before, but. I guess I just forget who knows and who doesn't. It's not exactly something I can tell anyone, for obvious reasons..."

Sil was instantly pleased when the were out in the lovely spring air, breathing in a long breath of earthy oxygen once they had headed outside. The sweater was mostly unnecessary; it was still a little cool but winter had become Spring and it was even more eager to become summer. She enjoyed watching Luci play; the child seemed excited about her freedom even if it came with rules, and Sil watched Liv's mothering through new eyes now that she knew that Liv actually was a mother.
She settled down next to her companion and leaned back to brace her elbows along the top of the bench, relaxing and enjoying the feel of the sun on the bared bits of her golden skin. To finish the look, she rested one of her ankles on the opposing knee; not the most elegant pose, but she wasn't one of the more elegant girls. Her eyes were bright, seeming to enjoy the company of the little girl; children were fun and goofy, and little Luci was bright on top of it all.
"It's okay Liv, I understand. You were in a... complicated situation," she strained to find the right word, but that one seemed to fit just fine. "She is absolutely beautiful though. Not that I'm surprised," she winked at her then, of course indicating that her mother had the most stock in her looks. Sil really didn't want to think of the father. "I was just a little surprised... now I understand why you're so good at the maternal thing," she strained a smile then, thinking it probably didn't come naturally to most people, and likely she was one of those unnatural ones. Sil never felt like she was natural at taking care of others. Then again, with Luci's age she could only assume that Liv had her quite young and had plenty of practice. After all, Liv was younger than even she was. "I'm glad you're both here with us now, though. I hope she likes it here with us."
