Soma opened the door and almost lost his arm in doing so. Luci leaped out so quickly, he almost didn't have enough time to fall back into his seat to get out of her way. He took a moment to collect himself and prepare for whoever may be outside. Slowly, he made his out of the carriage. Once his feet were on the ground, he pulled on the end of his vest, straightening any wrinkles from sitting.
His head was down as his eyes examined his work. Satisfied, he looked up, his gaze starting at the feet of a lady and pausing for an instant on Luci. She was being carried, her face making an attempt to burrow into who was presumed to be her mother. Soma's eyes finally fell upon the face of the person standing before him. He made solemn eye contact with her.

Liv realized that Soma wasn't Tyki before seeing who he actually was, but recognized him immediately despite not having spent much time together. She gave him the same blank stare that Luci had in the carriage before she spoke softly, "Where's Tyki?" She swallowed a little and averted her gaze, focusing on cuddling Luci who still remained contently quiet. She didn't expect any good explanation for why he hadn't shown up, but maybe this one time there was one.

He responded plainly, "I don't know. I awoke to a knock on my door and note asking me to bring Luci here."
Seeing Liv started the wheels in Soma's mind. Tyki and a human, Liv. Were they still together? Does the Earl know? Were they sneaking out of their respective residences to meet? Why wasn't Tyki here? The young girl's excitement earlier showed unbridled love for her father. Shouldn't he see her off?
Then the thoughts shifted to himself. Was the Earl forcing Tyki to keep Luci in the mansion? Did he have plans for her? Had Soma helped the girl escape? Would he be forced to capture her later on? Was Luci being used to siphon information for the Order?
Soma could potentially be in quite the predicament. He shook of the thoughts. "You know as much as I do."
