Soma could see the girl wasn't up for talking. Whether it was it was good or bad, she would crack one way or another. So he pressed on. Leaving home was never easy. He knew that. He tried to offer some kind words in relation.

Luci gave a quiet sigh and finally turned away from the window when he addressed her again. He was right that she didn't want to talk, but they were almost to the cafe anyway. She dropped her hand away from her face but kept a tight hold on the handkerchief as she squeezed her bun-bun, "It doesn't matter. I'm going to live with my Mommy now. It'll be better because Mommy is always around for me," she stated simply.
As the carriage finally made its way around the corner and came to a stop, Liv's eyes lit up. She held her breath and waited for the door to swing open. When it did, she couldn't contain her smile.
The moment the carriage had stopped Luci threw herself at the carriage door. She didn't wait for Soma's help and she practically vaulted over the steps as she jumped out. The force with which she slammed into Liv was almost enough to push her backwards a couple steps. Her bun-bun was squished between the two, and she kept her fist bawled around Soma's handkerchief as she hugged her arms around Liv. She squeezed tightly and then jumped on her toes, silently asking to be picked up.
Liv immediately picked Luci and the bun-bun up and squeezed back even harder, "Oh Luci...I missed you so much, sweetheart," she pet the back of Luci's head soothingly as she held her in the tight embrace.
Luci didn't say anything because she didn't need to, and simply buried her face into Liv's shoulder, so relieved to be in her arms.
Liv kissed Luci's cheek a few times and then leaned her head to the side to look past her at the carriage. She watched the open door, waiting for the other passenger to exit.
