Lily hadn't been angry, until now. "You forgot? Do you have any idea how dangerous magic can be?" she hissed to the other woman, disbelief mingling with her rage. "You don't have something magicked and then forget... that's irresponsible. Magic to you may be a play-pretty that helps you keep looking inhumanly pretty all the time, but it's so much more. You should treat it with respect, otherwise..." she stopped suddenly, drained as she sagged against the wall, one hand on her temple. "I'm tired." she whispered hoarsely. "And I don't want to scold anymore. You probably can't understand anyway." she fell silent a moment, then sighed. "I do like the jeans." she whispered again, a small offering of peace.

Lady Crystal flinched at the scolding, looking near ready to cower when she was finished. "I am sorry," she said softly, backing away towards her room.

"Wait..." Lily called, sighing. "I'm sorry... it's just... well." She bit her lower lip, not having the energy to explain her history, then walked to Crystal, offering her hand. "We can start over again, if you swear that it was a mistake."

"I swear," Lady Crystal said sincerely, clasping hands with Lily. "Is there anything I could do to help you?" she asked, looking worried for Lily.

"No." Lily answered softly, her outburst having drained her to the point where she felt awful again, though sleep would restore some of that. "I don't know what can be done, right now. I have to research..."

"Yeah... I'll let you know." Lily murmured, then gave a weak smile before turning and heading to the stairs. "Night." she added over her shoulders, descending as fast as she could, wanting to return to Arlen.

"Good night," Lady Crystal said, listening to hear Lily make it down without falling before returning to her room, blushing when she realized she was still wearing pants.
Arlen lay on the couch, an arm draped over his eyes.

Not sure if he was asleep, Lily was silent as she approached. Exhausted, she lay beside him, curling up to his warmth and closing her eyes.

"Will a piece of my shirt do for now?" Lily asked, already tearing a stripe off, one that would be long enough to tie around his head.

"It'll help," Arlen said, fumbling his hand to grasp the piece, accidently brushing across Lily's chest though he didn't seem aware of it. "Thank you," he said as he tied it into place and placed his arm back over his eyes.

Lily inhaled sharply, face turning bright red. "Welcome." she squeaked, then snuggled close to him, heart going a little fast. Still, she was soon nodding off. "Love you." she murmured, then fell asleep, clinging to him.
