She flopped back and caught the rag, wiping gravy out of her eye. "I know, it just stings..." Scrubbing at the spots on her clothes, she glanced up at him as he helped and nodded. "That's what I thought. Then we'll be fine on that score and we really need to get you a hobby." Standing back up and picking up the fork, wiping it off and handing it to the child. Curving her fingers around his, she helped him spear the pea and then kissed the top of his head. "I'm sorry I yelled baby." Rolling her eyes, she returned the favor and pushed him into his chair, then loaded up his fork and held it to his mouth. "I can't possibly think what you might do with all that free time and hardly any children about. Can you?"

"I have hobbies. You just don't think them hobbies. Why do I need one anyway to your approval? My days are more then enough full with all the work I have to do, or children that have to be taken care of." But a blink as she was probably catching onto the game he was trying to play as she made a point to load up his fork. Taking it from her with a sigh, he ate like she wanted before pointing his fork at her. "Now if you're being coy with me, you know I never get it until the purpose for you being so is already ruined. But in the literal sense, I can think of plenty of things."

She sighed and backed off, sitting back down in her chair. After all this time, she really should know better. He didn't get it and never would. Lulls really sucked...and that's where they were. She knew she couldn't look him in the eyes and tell him the truth because he'd let her go. He wouldn't chase her and he wouldn't fight her, it wasn't his personality. Getting up, she uncorked a bottle of wine and poured herself a glass, swishing it around as she leaned against the counter. "No, no coyness here. I just know how much time you usually spend working with Faate and at Twilight and I don't want you to get bored while Malik and them are gone."

He knew when she was going that disengaging thing with him and he was doing it now. Well that had brougth that on? Or more implortantly what was he missing? "I don't get bored you know that. My mind is always going on wiht something...you're the one we have to worry about getting bored. You don't have enough children to play with all day now and Kel has to rest sometimes. If course I could always indulge you in some way with something." And thusly tending to his food in that sort if guarded way he sometimes ate.

She really should stop expecting something he wasn't capable of...but standing at the counter, swirling her glass of wine, she wished he was capable of it and wanted to do it and thought of doing it by himself. "I don't really know what you do anymore, Sevilin. We hardly ever talk. Indulging me might be a nice thing though." Taking another sip of wine and then walking over and picking Kel up. "But it's time for this little one's bath."

And she was throwing a tone at him now...apparently things had taken a wrong turn and he had missed it and now he was going to pay for it. He was always the one paying for things though, that was no surprise. "We usually have no time to talk, you always have a child on your hip." Which was true and well...he didn't like to always have the kids around to hear things. Shaking his head as he watched her scoop up the baby and make with the bath informing. "I'll clean up here in the kitchen." Shaking his head lightly and getting up, starting on that.

"And just what is that supposed to mean? I'm a mother, Sevilin, but I do not always have a baby on my hip. You're always busy. If you go to bed before I do, you don't wait for me, you just go off to reverie. If you come to bed after, you drop straight off." Shaking her head and settling the baby back on her hip then climbing the stairs and giving their son his nightly bath.

Hadn't they had this conversation before? Yes of course they had...and if he pursued it like he usually did then they would 'solve' it and then things would just go downhill again into the same thing whenever they were going to have this fight again. So....he didn't chase her. No he was going to merely let her have her space and he'd stay downstairs...buddy up to the evil couch if need be.
Which is where he was found the next morning. Though he found himself no less in a bad mood from the previous night. Frankly because he knew what his avoidance was going to do to her. She was just going to be even angrier with him and they would both snipe at each other for who knew how long. Currently his mind had taken the direction of thinking to run the appeasement route to her just to try and avoid any further irritation on either part.
Sighing he got himself up and wandered upstairs to Kelligrin's room, bypassing Zyariel's. There'd be no more ankle yanking for that boy to get up for school...he had made that deal with his son and he wasn't going to go back on it. Thusly he figured it was onto the younger son, who was usually up anyway and laid around quietly until one of his partens come and got him and Sevilin was as usual up before Zahara.

Her night hadn't passed any better than his. She'd waited for him to come up and when he finally didn't, she went and retrieved Kelligrin and held him tightly, rocking the sleeping baby just for something to do. Eventually, she cried herself to reverie in their bed, alone because of her own stupidity. Sometimes she didn't know why she expected him to be any different. He couldn't be and she'd known that the day she'd married him. Up and dressed the moment she heard his footsteps on the stairs, she popped into the nursery and cleared her throat. "He's still down and will be for a while. He just went back to reverie a few hours ago. Shall we...take a walk?"

He didn't even make it to the crib before her voice made his steps stop and ears twitch. A look to the still slumbering child and then he turned and offered his look to her. Hm, awkward silence much? "Sure." Thusly joining her out in the hall and continuing on. Well at least this way he didn't have to eat breakfast...he really really did not have an appetite today. At all.

She'd already informed Zykariel he had his brother whether he liked that idea or not so she only had to stop long enough to swirl her cloak over her shoulders. Breakfast wasn't appetizing to her either. Stepping into what was a normal morning in the Underdark, despite the fact only native dark elves and those who had lived there long enough would even know it was morning, she began heading down their usual path towards the river. "Last night didn't go so well. Do you have anything you'd like to say?"

He grabbed his cloak, pulling it around his shoulders and heading out into the underdark, his feet leading the way without a thought from his head on where to even go. Old habits were useful sometimes. Hm, we were already getting to it all were we? "No it didn't." If anything blunt truthfulness had always served them well. "Not really...I think we both know all the usual lines and such." Nor did he apologize for truth in his words last night either. When they fought there was that problem that she had had since he knew her, rarely did she admit that she was wrong in part on things. Hell he'd be happy to pretend nothing had happened last night.

"Which is precisely why I'm going to try not to use them. Appeasement isn't going to work in this situation but I don't really know what is." Searching for a way to describe her personal feelings, she watched a bat swoop down intent on it's prey and sighed. "I don't want you to change, Sevilin, so please don't think I'm asking that of you. I love you so much it hurts...but I don't want it to hurt anymore. Something's...not right between us and I can't quite put my finger on what it is. I know it's not you because you don't change which means that I must have changed at some point." Sighing again, "I'm entering instincts soon but I don't want to have sex..."

Well they were going to find a new and different path to travel down this time were they? Though could either go splendidly well or agonizingly bad. "I changed some...as much as you'd ever get me to thought I think and that happened early on." He wasn't quite sure if this was going to go wrong or not seeing as it almost seemed like the 'we're better apart than we are together' in a way. "While you may have done the majority of changing that's only expected for an elf your age and what with the whole family situation coming about." He was always looking to put logic to it all...facts were soothing. Though he did look at her on her little proclomation. That could mean a boat load of things. "You know if you deny such things your body is just going to wreak havoc on itself and your mental state..." Or was 'with you' supposed to be added onto the end of her statement...he wasn't vain enough to think he was be all and end all of her world.

"I grew up and mellowed somewhat. Any changes you might have experienced were minuscule in comparison. My point is that I don't want you to think this is your fault or I'm expecting something of you that you can't give. I'm trying so hard not to do that." Adjusting her cloak so that it draped her body more comfortably. "I won't be able to deny my body once the instincts full take over but I don't want to be forced into it, Sevilin. I want to want to make love with you again but I don't know how to make that happen. Sometimes I feel like it's just become rote or solely for comfort. What happened to our...spark?"
