"It's your turn right now Kelligrin." Giving a chuckle to the little elf before a nod, "All yours, no sharing. But you have to do a good job." It was nice to see the little elf so eager. "You know...there's always something satisfying about eating something that tried to kill you." Giving a lopsided grin before blinking at his wife in almost boyish manner. "I suppose I can't argue that...and I suppose by train he means horse things." Giving another grin, "So how come he gets away with not eating?"

"I do great job!" Nuzzling his mother and then taking her cheeks in his hands. "Right Mommy? Great job? Get shinies?"
She blinked as her face was no longer hers to control and grinned. "You can, yes. You just have to do exactly what I tell you to do." Tickling him to release his hands and then bouncing him on her hip. "Unless he's training with a girl..." Giving her husband a bemused look and then walking over to the stove to stir the pot of gravy. "Because I like him better than you." He had so asked for that one.

"See, now the child is happy." Watching them in the sorta fond way before rolling his eyes, "Hardly training with a girl in certain senses but I won't doubt the possibility." Grabbing a rag from the sink and wetting it, going about starting to wipe down counters from where she had been doing things. A snicker snort of sorts though, "Oh you do, do you? Well then I'll make sure to remember that for just the right moments." Which was all in itself odd to think about because in an earlier time with darker thoughts, he would be considering his son competition of another sorts.

She laughed softly and walked over to one corner of the kitchen which had become a play corner of sorts for the children, setting him down amidst a few toys and ruffling his hair as he happily took to them. Returning to the stove a moment later, she grabbed another wooden spoon out of the drawer and shook her head, slapping his a** with it as she made her way to the icebox. "Not going to try to one up him and earn my favor?"

He looked over his shoulder at her slapping with wooden spoons quirk that she had picked up and shook his head. "No I'm not. It's far too much fun to simply take advantage of you at a later situation and turn things in my favor and then watch you get all huffy and get that cute little look you get when you are so. Where then I point out where you messed yourself up with it all and you try to set things right."

She quirked an eyebrow at him for a moment and shook her head. "That's rather manipulative of you, Sevilin Inthara. When did you pick up that little trick?" Frowning for a moment and getting that exact huffy look though she didn't know it. "I don't get a huffy look." Brandishing her spoon like she was going to smack him again though she refrained. "Do I, Kelli?"
He glanced up from where he was playing and giggled. "No!"
Giving her husband a smug look. "See?"

"From you." Smirking at her and setting aside the rag, going about getting down plates and what not. "And yes you do get a huffy look, you're getting it right now and it's adorable. Always cute when you are upset that things aren't going your way and I won't fight back on certain points." Poking her in the nose in passing as he went to setting out plates on the table. "Enjoy it."

From her? Well, that made sense didn't it? She was a rather bad influence on him. Her huffy look melted into a smirk and she laughed softly, smacking his a** after he poked her nose. "I guess that's alright then. You're just no fun when you don't cooperate." Turning back to the stove, she stirred the gravy once more before leaning down and pulling the casserole out of the flames. Drizzling the heated gravy over it, she carried it to the table and plopped a serving spoon in it. "Grab Kelli and his chair." Going about putting toddler sized portions on a little plate for their son.

"You enjoy every moment." Grabbing up his son in one arm and the chair in the opposing hand, he walked both over to the table, setting the toddler down in the chair and grabbing the fork, showing it to the little elf. "Think we can work on our fork skill tonight buddy? You already mastered the cup, why not go for something more impressive?"

"Just keep telling yourself that." Carrying the plate over and setting it on his tray then pouring milk into a small glass for him to drink out of. Pretty soon they were going to be potty training, perish the thought. She still remembered the disasters with the other three. Zykariel had picked it up rather quickly though.
He looked at the fork and then at his hands and nodded. "Yes. I do." Taking the fork, he formed a fist around the top end of it and began stabbing at his food and bringing it to his mouth the way his parents did. Motor skills still needed a little bit of work but he was kinda getting it. And when food fell off the fork or couldn't be stabbed, fingers were next best thing. "I did it!"

"The squealing says otherwise." Chuckling lightly and smiling as his son took the fork and tried to put it to work...the messy aspect made him want to cringe but he let it go for now and let him do as he could with the fork. Practice was key to these kinds of things. "Yes you did, very good." Moving to sit in his own chair, he spooned a portion onto his plate and turned a look to his wife. "How does it feel to only be feeding three people again? That hasn't happened in forever. Whatever will you do?"

If he kept it up she was so flinging food at him. Even though it would make him cringe and wish to clean...it was still funny. Watching Kelligrin maneuver his fork in a very child-like way, she shook her head and dropped some onto her own plate. "Strange. It's almost like it's all those years ago and all we have is Zykariel. It does give us a lot more time for other activities though and I'll be able to cut back on expenditures down at the market which means rarer spices and more of them!" Ooh, that was exciting.

"We send the girls off for a while and her first use for extra money is rare and expensive spices." Shaking his head lightly at that and giving a sigh as he was indeed now going over numbers in his head of what they would be doing now. "Well why you spend all your time picking out spices then I'll just have to entertain myself with what you call those 'boring old Sevilin' things. Looking at a portion of casserole that his son had flicked on the table...and for the moment just threw a napkin over it.

He was getting frustrated as he tried to spear a pea that was rolling all over his tray. The constant banging of a fork slamming into the wood was deafening and eventually, he huffed and threw his fork onto the table as well, crossing his arms. "I don't like green."
"As long as we have the money. Did Malik say what the payment idea was while he was gone or are you not supposed to make anything until he gets back?" With the amount of mouths they had to feed, a payment schedule was extremely important. If she had to go to work, she could but she didn't want to take on more than the assistant job at the academy. "I hate those boring old Sevilin things. There's so much more you could be doing with your time." Getting up and cleaning up the spilled casserole a moment before the fork landed right in the middle and splashed it back onto the table and, by default, her. "Dammit, Kelligrin!"

He blinked, quite taken aback by his wife's outburst...she usually didn't fluster so fast. "Zahara he's just frustrated. He gets it from you." Getting up he walked over and pushed his wife back into her chair and handed her a wet rag, grabbing another to clean up the table and such. If anything it stalled the eating, he didn't have much of an appetite today.
Looking over to his son and searching for a way to break the odd tension he stuck with plain observation.. "Oh no...first we have one that refuses to eat yellow, and now one that refuses to eat green." Shaking his head. "As far as money, that's all taken care of. He paid me in advance for at least six months. If they come back before then great. If they don't well then I just take my own pay as needed. All bookwork and the like."
Having cleaned up his son, he turned his attention to her and helped her clean up some as well. "And what more could I be doing with my time? I'm set in my ways, happens when you're my age."
