Daihouou So I passed Zely and co in the dealer's hall on monday when they were heading out to lunch, but I was with cute girls. And as we all know cute girls > food, so... guess where I stayed? biggrin

Streamjumper Zelyhon Aaaaaaand post Fanime backlog time! Report on the con will be up either when I finish backlog or tomorrow, depending on what time I finish. Streamjumper School Rumble Sangakki promo is up? AWWWWWWW YEAH! Sweet! I assume there's a link in the backlog, but if not, where'd you find it? Can't say, can't link. But you can probably find it on one of the streaming services... I found it the same place I get all my torrents. I already found it when I saw you post much the same thing in backlog. I can't begin to say how much I'm looking forward to this. So they're doing two OAVs with the Tankobon and then a full series? Good. That worked pretty well last time, so it makes sense to go with it again.

Sup, dudes.
I'm safely in Maine, but things have been.. pretty not so awesome so far. Upon arrival, I get a message that one of my great friends from high school died on Monday. He had been suffering from testicular cancer which had metastasized to his lungs. It's been really hard dealing with it, what with just leaving and knowing I won't be there to say goodbye, but I plan on visiting the grave site when I get back in August, as well as donating money to any kind of charity fund they will probably set up.

Zelyhon Even if he's not disbarred, he's effectively lost any credibility he had left (with non-gamers, for the most part). At this point, there's no way any large organization or TV show will bring him on, because it leaves them far too open to criticism for treating him like an expert with these convictions. At this point, he's done for. If it were one or two convictions, they might get overturned or ignored. 27 out of 31, though, there's no way that's overlooked in the future. My question is, though, what was he found not guilty on. XD

Sooo...Fanime was fun. I was really impressed with the Fanime Music Videos this year. Last year they showed every single entry, and didn't bother to filter the crap. This year they did the contest as usual, filtering out the categories and giving us like, 5-7 videos to watch and vote on. I'm sure Zely will be posting links to said videos very soon, however, This must be watched NOW . I trust you will all enjoy it. Now, onto the best thing I got out of Fanime:  What you see is a slip-cover that I had autographed by about 30 staff members at Gainax including Hiroyuki Yamaga (President) Sadamoto (Character designer) Otsuka (Assistant Director) Takeda (Producer) and many others. Iwasaki, who also signed it, was the man behind the music of Gurren Lagaan. Best...thing...evar! I had fun chattin' it up with Rae Rae and Zero, we all went over to Zely's to play Twilight Imperium for a few rounds before having to wrap it up for the evening. Seeing Hila was awesome, unfortunately we didn't have much time to actually hang out. If you guys want to read my panel reports, you can go to Anime News Network and check out the coverage on fanime. The rest of the panel reports will be up shortly, as well as an interview that the news editor had with key staff members at Gainax. Look forward to it! Now then, I gotta go get some work done, but I'll ttyl.

...minus amazing signatures. emo Me too! I have that and another GL clear file, both minus amazing signatures. I wish I could have talked to the merchandising folks a bit longer but I was about at my word limit. sweatdrop At least I put in my vote for Kamina's glasses and got a release month on the figure I've been after. I wasn't able to get a Sadamoto signature anywhere. I do have one from last time he was at Fanime but it's not on anything interesting. Thirty signatures is awesome! I had a hard time trying to get some of the guests to do anything, even sign. I think there were many who were embarrassed and didn't feel worthy of putting their name on stuff.
