iBarty Fanime...is it a good convention? I'm thinking, depending on the amount of money saved up maybe I can go within the next year or two. Speaking as someone who just got back from it, yes. It's a lot of fun, even if they don't manage to get a lot of big name guests of honor. Still well worth looking into.

And that, ladies and gentlemen, is thoroughly expected and deserved. I wonder if the Florida Supreme Court will even decide to hear the case.

Streamjumper Cynderelly TweedleKeys Cannot connect.... summary? Anything actually going to happen to him? He's filing appeals. I got the same error you did when trying to look at the details as to what the sanctions against him would be. Just keep trying to access it and it should pull up. The main gist is that he is no longer allowed to file suits in Florida without another member of the bar signing off on it, which indicates that they're taking responsibility for it. Not only does this curttail his mad plots, but it discredits him utterly anywhere else and even effectively prevents him from practicing what little rational work as an attorney he may have still found the time for. And there's a good chance that he could be outright disbarred. Even if he's not disbarred, he's effectively lost any credibility he had left (with non-gamers, for the most part). At this point, there's no way any large organization or TV show will bring him on, because it leaves them far too open to criticism for treating him like an expert with these convictions. At this point, he's done for. If it were one or two convictions, they might get overturned or ignored. 27 out of 31, though, there's no way that's overlooked in the future. My question is, though, what was he found not guilty on. XD

Skizzors LunaInverse iBarty LunaInverse Stream should be happy about this... http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news/2008-05-23/bandai-visual-usa-to-be-liquidated-by-september I really hate when I'm not paying attention to what I'm doing. I think I'm quoting someone and really, I just edited their post and then I wonder where my reply goes. Originally I was going to say I don't see what's good about this, but then I saw Stream's reply and that's be awesome..cheaper anime.Yeah, Bandai Visual thought it would be a smart idea to sell the series they licensed for American audiences using the same pricing and content that they use in Japan. In other words, Bandai Visual would sell a DVD with no extras, maybe not even a dub track, with only 2 or 3 episodes...and charge $40 for it. To American audiences... Considering how many whiny fans I've seen complaining about paying $20 for a DVD, it's no wonder that this was a colossal flop. I'm not surprised that this happened. I was expecting it. ..why was that supposed to be a good idea? They listened to the fans wanting to be as much like Japan as possible and thought they'd oblige them? XD Most likely just not paying any attention to the market of DVDs in general in the US and thus going on unreasonable prices for the region.

I think the con I went to had maybe one or two bigger ones but I didn't really pay attention to that. *shrug* The con I went to is so much smaller than Fanime probably.
