"then that is your problem. You don't need to do that. he understands obligations and needs that may pull you away at various times in haste. I know I have that problem from time to time with my children. So please, don't avoid him or pull from him for that."
Offering her a seat for a moment.
"I know you nearly ran at the door. and I can feel the uncertainty and trepidation coming off of you in waves. what is it you are afraid of?"

Galesen quietly stood off to the side, he watched the kids quietly as they went about chatting back and for between each other or their parents. They were fun to watch sometimes with the way they reacted. Smiling a little he pulled the hood of his cloak over his head and looked at Mykorian, he had his which was good, he believed the boy would have a good time on Andal, especially since Faate would be with them. "Me and Mykorian are ready to go, are stuff is packed all we are doing is waiting for the go." A small chuckle as he shifted a little, he really wanted to see Isle, though he bet that was one of the first things to go down for everyone, to see her and her baby boy.

They weren't done? She stared at him for a long moment, trying to figure out just how he knew that. "I..." She could feel herself retreating. "I wasn't sure this trip was such a good idea. And I don't really know how to...do this...?" Now she was just sounding like an idiot. "And your family is rather...influential. And no offense or disrespect meant, Lord D'vinn, but you've often been pegged as rash and hotheaded. I just don't want anything to happen to my family or my home if things do not..." What word did she want? "Progress with your son." There, that sounded like a good explanation, didn't it? Whether it was true or not...well, that she was leaving up to the debates of the gods.

he knew the look, and gave a small grin.
"I am a follower to a diety that feeds on hate and fear. so I can feel such things around me. the other is runic markers around my home alert me to the presence of others."
leaning back in his seat.
"I know my reputation. and I understand your concern. I probably would be similarly cautious. However, I give you me word, if things didn't progress, as it's put, I would not force the issue or take arms against your family for it. Not everything in life goes as one might want."
watching her a moment.
"what I am getting at, is that if you want to pursue a relationship with my son, or have some interest, please don't hold back or anything on the account of myself or things like your needs to take care of other things. my son is more understanding and of sterner stuff then you might suppose."

That was a hell of a line, wasn't it? "I'll...keep that in mind." Relieved at gaining his promise, she simply nodded. "I'm aware of that. No one could take the sort of beating he did at Tournament without some strength, both in body and mind but also in character. Your son is strong and I appreciate that part of him but it also...frightens me." Nibbling on her bottom lip a moment and twisting her hands. "I fear he's going to wish for someone like Lady D'vinn...and I'm...well, not."

That got a chuckle out of him.
"I doubt he could handle someone like piper. She's wild and freegoing as the winds, and just as opinionated. But he's interested in you. he fears that you are not so much in him."
getting himself up, and taking her hand.
"Lets go back to the group then, and head to Andal. you can spend as much time there with him in privacy as you want, no obligations, no errands. I suggest you spend that time being how you want to be, not how you might have to be here."

Kaelin sighed internally. Wild and free as the winds and just as opinionated. Just like Zykariel and so many of the others in her school. Malik was exactly right, she wasn't anything like that. That made her easy to forget and invisible to some although she had her own group of friends. They didn't really understand her, though, and she knew it. Sometimes it could get so lonely being her. "I will." Was it odd that she was holding his hand? Malikhai might think so but she didn't want to offend Lord D'vinn. Stepping back out, she blended into the background, keeping the hood up and waiting for the others to tell her where to go. She assumed some form of translocation or spell would be used.

"Don't stress Sevilin. And my house better be standing when I get back or I'm going to wreck yours down to match mine." Shaking her head as she picked up Dhairiss. "Malikhai, help your father with bags will you, you too Galesen, I'm going to make you boys work." Giving her husband that secret inquiring look as he had come back with the girl and they both seemed to be just fine. She wasn't all fidgety and he wasn't agitated. "Alright then all of you, let's go, downstairs." More or less herding them all and then taking to the gate, activating runes and location markers and what not. "Time to just get away from it all."
((No more post, shoo all of you.))

She was dancing with her son. They'd started out with him in her arms but as he'd started that toddler independence thing she'd eventually set him on the floor. Taking hold of his hands, she stepped to the left and then to the right, letting his little feet keep up with her. He was laughing and grinning up at her thinking it was all a sort of game as she hummed a tune. Every once in a while, she'd lift him off the floor and twirl him around just for the fun of it.

Making sure that everyone knew their jobs and such just like every time these sorts of things happened, he threw an extra blanket of runes on the place and then headed himself home. After all, those there would run things just as smoothly and he'd drop by everyday to make sure...or he'd hurt people. But other things were on his mind now and he was glad to be heading back, though it was a little odd without the girls. Walking into the house, he came upon that little sight. "And here I thought you'd be all weepy and what not."

Glancing over at his father with a happy squeal, he toddled over and latched then took his hands. "Dancin'." Tugging him forward and then glancing over at his mother. "Mommy! Dancin'."
She released her son so he could toddle over and shook her head with a smile. "Won't do me any good. This is good for them, right? At least that's what I keep telling myself." Checking the casserole in the oven since Kelligrin was out of the area and couldn't get burned. "I'm distracting myself so I don't." Nodding to her son, "You can dance with Daddy. He'll dance with you."

He grinned at the toddler who decided that he was supposed to be involved as well because people shouldn't be left out and he obliged the child, though it was probably nowhere near as fun as it was with Zahara. "I think they'll enjoy themselves and Zykariel will probably enjoy them being gone. Teenage boy thing as I've come to gather. What are you making? And why must you volunteer me?" He woud of done it under the child's urging anyway.

He was content dancing with his father, trying to twirl the way that Mommy had done with him a little bit ago. It was harder to dance with daddy but just as much fun to him. "I help too." Thus letting go of his father's hands and twirling in place before glancing over at her again. "Now Mommy dance with Daddy."
Stirring the casserole, she pushed it back into the flames and reclosed the oven then chuckled. "Dinner, Raven. Did you think you weren't going to get to eat tonight? And there might even be dessert at some point, too." Watching her son for a moment, she walked over and reached out to take the toddler's hands. "I don't think Daddy wants to dance right now." Back up to Sevilin, "Because it's too cute of a picture to pass up. I indulge whenever I can."

"You always want to be involved don't you? Can earn yourself some shiny things tonight if you help mommy with dishes later." Ruffling the child's hair as he put forth more ideas. "Well...I know it's dinner. I meant what kind of something or other..you know me, I can go without eating or doing so." Shaking his head at her as she took the toddler again. "You and the love of cute...where's the other son?"

Glance at mom. "Yes, he does. Don't you, Daddy?" Then a happy squeal at the sound of shiny things. Just like Nym, he loved them. "No sharing? Not even Nym?" Of course he probably would anyway but he wanted to make sure he didn't have to.
"Jerheg casserole. All the things you like and nothing he doesn't," Pointing down to the babbling child. "And you know the rules in this house. Nobody skips a meal unless sick or there's something threatening their immediate person." Glancing over at him. "Neither describe you." Letting Kelligrin twirl until he fell down dizzy, she scooped him up and shrugged. "He left shortly after you did. Said he was going to train and wouldn't be home for dinner."
