"So how about helping me and Black practice a little?" Dante asked with his ever present smile. "Sure!" Summer said happily. you could almost see hearts in her eyes. "Okay." Z said slightly gloomly as he noticed Summer's obvious crush on Dante. "Whatever." Lyn said impassively. "Very good. Let's just have a normal pokemon battle. all of your pokemon against my Black." Dante said as he began to walk backwards away from what would become a battle field. "What but we have four pokemon altogehter. Your Absol can't defend against that!" Z said suprised at the idea Dante had just proposed. "Actually it is five pokemon. I have a second pokemon." Summer said taking a second pokeball off of her belt. She pressed the button twice and let out a mankey with an insane grin on it's face. "That's even more reason this is a bad idea." Z said a little bit annoyed that he had not been informed about her second pokemon before now. "Don't worry Black can handle it. The question is . . . can your pokemon?" Dante said smiling even wider making him look even more insane then Summer's Mankey.

"Oh it's on now! No one questions my pokemon's abilitys!" Z said letting Cole out of his pokeball. As soon as he was released Cole jumped onto z's leg and began biting it. "Ouch! Look you don't like me and I get that but this guy just said you were weak! You gonna take that!? Huh!?" Z said trying to ignore the pain in his leg and amp up Cole so he could help beat Dante and Black. Suddenly cole stopped chewing on Z and froze. His eyes turned black and pitch black flames of rage seemed to surround him. He let loose a growl that was much more feral than one would expect from such a small animal. "Okay Let's go!" Z said pointing at Black. "Shino! Silverwind to propel Cole! Cole! Bite!" Z yelled and Shino shot out a blast of sparkling wind at Cole's back. Right before it hit Cole jumped up a bit and flipped foreward so that it was not touching the ground and it was facing Black. The Silverwind sent it flying at high speeds at Black. Cole opened it's mouth revealing sharp fangs.

Crenu shook his head. "Naw, keep the money. Wouldn't feel right taking from a friend." He grinned waiting for Spinarak to finish healing. "So, got any other pokemon, or is Little Guy your only one?"

Ky put the money back in his pocket and smiled. It was nice knowing he had a new friend, especially a trainer friend. "Nah, he's my only one," Ky said as he pat Little Guy softly. "I just started training today. You were actually my first battle."

"That so? So what kinds trainer are you gonna be? Pokemon Contests? Badges? Or are you just leaving home for the sake of a journey? Well regardless, you'll need a second pokemon before long." He nodded, then looked over towards the E.R. as a Chansey came running out with his pokeball on a tray. He picked up the pokebal and smiled at the Chansey before it ran off.

After their hearty meal Mag and his pokemon were ready to go on towards their adventure. Mainly challenging the Cerulean Gym leader Misty and paying a quick visit to Bill if at all possible. Deciding upon the latter option Mag once again began the trek north to his secluded cottage house.
He came upon nugget bridge. Remembering how he had needed to battle trainers to get to the top. It seemed that several trainers were still about the place looking for challenges.

"Hm," Ky thought as he really never planned on what type of trainer he wanted to be. "I think my first goal is to collect 8 badges, so that I can enter into the big tournaments. After that, I want to be a gym leader, though I don't know what type of Pokemon I should focus on." Ky then thought about Falkner and how he did indeed need a second Pokemon, "Do you know what kind of Pokemon are around here? I think I should start looking for one."

"Well I caught my Spinarak around this city, but I don't really know what else lives around here. I do have an idea though. Falkner is strong, I challenged him because I had Larvitar. I know it's type doesn't mean everything, but it does help. Your Natu is a flying Psychic type, so I sudgest you forget Falkner for right now and come back to him later. I'm heading over for the next gym, Nurse Joy told me that his name is Bugsy and that he uses bug-type pokemon. And since alot of bugs types are also poison type, you should have a good advantage if you train your Natu hard. Who knows, maybe you'll catch second pokemon on the way that'll help you out even more." He clipped Spinarak's pokeball onto his belt and smiled. "Tell you what, I'll even help you train. Help the both of us that way."

"R...Really?!" Ky asked. "That would be awesome!" Ky figured that while he was living in Violet City, he'd be able to train and still be near home until he was strong enough to beat Falkner, but... this was an offer he couldn't say 'no' to. Everything in his gut said to go for it, even though he had no idea where it was going to lead him, or how tough it was going to be. Ky thought of Bugsy and how he should make defeating him his first priority. Truthfully, Ky didn't realize Little Guy had Psychic potential at all, never really checking into what a Natu's type was. Knowing this just made Ky more excited about the training Crenu was going to help him with if he went along with him. Then, another thought occured to him. "I have to pack," Ky mentioned, noticing he was in no way prepared for a journey, lacking food, water, and other backpacking essentials. "That and..." Ky stopped when he thought about what else he needed to do. "I need to say bye to my family."

"Of course. I wouldn't expect you to go unprepared. Take all the time you need saying goodbye." He smiled, thinking to himself. "I think this'll work out perfectly. You see, I grew up doing nothing but reading books about pokemon and life and the world around. I may know a lot about pokemon, but that's all I have. My victories only come from my knowledge, and that simply isn't enough. But you, you have raw talent, even though you lost I could see it there. I could see it in the way you battled, the care you have for your pokemon. In truth, I can honestly say you're gonna be a better trainer than I'll ever be. With your talent and my knowledge, we'll be unbeatable. Let's go."

"All right, my house isn't too far away," Ky said as he got up from his seat. Little Guy woke up in time to get a good perch on Ky's shoulder. As he started to head out of the Pokemon Center, Ky didn't know what to say. Crenu was saying so many nice things about him, but also Crenu seemed to be putting himself down as well; Ky couldn't have that. "You should be really proud that you know so much about Pokemon," Ky said. "You say that isn't enough, but I don't believe that. Being able to know the ins and outs, the strengths and weaknesses, what to do and what not to do, and to be able to recall that information in the heat of battle, that's talent!" Ky smiled as he looked up at Crenu. "Also, you know, raw talent can't get me that far without a talented teacher to guide me."

Crenu chuckled as he followed Ky. "Ha! I'd hardly qualify as a teacher, but thank you. You see, the problem with having too much knowledge is that one tends to over think things. And when you overthink, you end up doing something wrong. But I appritiate the praise."

After recalling his Bellsprout Jake went over to Toph and stuck his hand out for her to shake. "That was a good battle, what kind of pokemon is that? I have never seen it befor." He asked as Toph got up and shook his hand.
"It's called a Zangoose, he's from the Hoenn region." She explained brushing a stray strand of midnight black hair out of her face. Edge looked up at her, even though he was exhausted he refused to go back and relax in the safety and comfort of his pokeball, he had a job to do tired or not.
When Toph brushed the hair out of her face Jake had caught sight of her pupil less eyes. "So you are blind. I thought that you were in the battle but I couldn't believe it." He said bending down to inspect the sea foam green eyes that stared blankly ahead.
"Yeah I am blind. Why? Can't a blind person be a pokemon trainer to?" Toph asked defensively crossing her arms over her chest.
Somewhat alarmed Jake waved his hands in front of him defensively before stopping thinking that she couldn't see that. "No, no, no! That’s not it at all. I was just saying that it is amazing that even though you are blind you seem to have better vision then most people do. That’s all really!" He explained hurriedly. Toph relaxed somewhat but wasn't wholly satisfied but decided to let it slide. Jake, deciding to change the subject offered. "You don’t mind if we go to the pokemon center together do you? I know the way out of here."
Toph thought about it for a moment before shrugging. "Sure why not?" She said. That said they both started heading off in the direction that Jake said the exit of the forest was. Edge followed behind them closely refusing to go into the pokeball even when Toph had asked him about it when she realized that he was limping.

Dante smirked slightly and licked his lips. "You know what to do." He said yawning slightly. "Sol!" Black yelled and the black blade like growth on his head glowed white. He slashed at Cole with it and white blades of air flew at him in a devastating razor wind attack heading stright at Cole who was moving to fast to stop. "Uh-oh! Cole, use Aerial ace to dodge and then to attack. The meowth somehow managed to her Z over wind and for a second he stopped midair with dust surrounding him beautifully. Then the calm exploded into a flurry of wind as he shot straight up into the air. Unfortunately this ment that the razor wind kept going and sliced straight through Shino's silver wind hitting the small bug pokemon hard. He flew back a few feet then rolled onto his back. He was very weak from the attack and could just barely get back onto his stomach. Meanwhile Cole continued to run straight up through the air until he was in the clouds. Then he canceled the areial ace leaving him floating mid air for a second until he started to fall. He flipped down so that he was divebombing then used aerial ace once more causing him to dive so fast he was just a blur.

As Ky said, his house wasn't too far away, the walk taking about 10 minutes or so. It was a white, two-story house, covered by a wooden-shingled roof. The porch in front was simply a way up from the foundation, leading to a blue-painted door with a 'Welcome' mat in front. Ky walked up the stairs, opened the door, and walked inside. He saw his mom preparing lunch in the kitchen in the back-left corner of the house, and his brother sitting directly in front of the television set by the stairs to the right, playing video games. "Hey Mom, hi Al," Ky greeted. "I'd like you to meet my new friend Crenu." Al looked up, curious as to who the visitor was. "I'll be right with you in a second sweety!" Ky's mom called from the kitchen, finishing up with the sandwiches.
