"What do we do if they don't come?" asked Wanda as she turned on the music. Some anime music came out of the speakers.

"If they don't we'll just make them regret it," answered Freya as she started dancing wildly.

"You are not acting like the leader of a neutral group," commented Wanda.

"You're right. I'm acting like a spoiled brat on vacation. I don't like people who ignores a good invitation for fun. Don't you?"

Wanda had to agree on that. Not to mention that she would really love to play volleyball with that strange music playing.

"Don't worry. We'll play volleyball. With my cute little butt and great body, I can recruit all the handsome guys we want for a wild game. And since you don't look too gothic, I'm sure you'll have your share of admirers."

"I have other things in my mind than flirting and you know it." Sure, she was having fun on the beach with Freya, but Wanda couldn't forget her main objective: revenge. Her plan after the vacation consisted of going on a journey to look for her father. She will deal with her brother's fate later. She believed he didn't care about her. If he was, she just couldn't trust me. Something inside her stopped her from doing that.

She was complaining about Freya a lot but at least, she knew she cared and wouldn't try to use her. If she needed her help, she would just say it and not use some kind of trick to make her do things.

"So how long are we going to wait?" asked Wanda to Freya.

"Until sunset. After that, it's payback time."

Wanda grinned. "I'm taking care of the brotherhood."

Regina looked through a book of tattoos and smiled when she finally came one that she liked. It was simple. A fox that was in a sitting pose with it's back to the looker and it was looking over it's shoulder as if it knew one was admiring it's solidarity.

"here's something simple. How about shoulder blade?" she asked, pointing it out to Penny.

Gen watched from the dark of the forest as Freya and Wanda set up a net and listened to blaring music. ~what the heck are they doing?~ she thought, keeping herself quiet.

OOC: Joint AIMed Ginko/LJ post. Don't mind the length. Regular fun Regina & Penny banter about life, the universe, and... uh, the S word.

IC:
Penny looked into the book at what Regina had picked out, "Aw a cute fox for the foxxy lady. Shoulder blade hurts like a mother, but it's a good spot. Your fox won't turn into Nine Tails anytime soon."

"Hey I wonder if they'd do an alteration to make it like that..." Regina asked, looking it over. "I could sketch the redesign... "

"Heh, would you want a Pokemon on your back when your ninety?" Penny joked but actually thought the idea would be cute. Nine Tails was her closet favorite, "They probably could custom it for you. That's their job."

"Nono, that's not what i mean." Regina grinned. "There is an old japanese legend about the nine tails. The fox is actually silver, so that's what I'd like."

"Well that sounds much classier," Penny leaned against the counter and signed a form stating she wouldn't sue their a** if she didn't like her tattoo in a week, "I need to brush up on my asian cultures it seems now. Maybe we should all take another road trip this summer. I'm sure Xavier has buddies somewhere we could go visit."

That'd be awesome." Regina grinned and signed the form as well. "Wonder how long it'll take... and if I need a strong hand to squeeze." She looked at Penny.

Penny looked out the door for Porter and laughed, "Guess I have that duty today. It shouldn't take more than a half hour if that. You have fairly simple colors. You want me to get mine first? Mine is going to hurt worse." Not to mention she could feel the needles sharper than most. But tattoos were an addiction to her.

"Sure, if you want. I know I won't be able to feel my hand after that anwyays." Regina teased.

Penny shook her head and remembered how badly she bruised Regina's hand when she had the bone marrow tested, "Don't worry, you aren't on pain duty for me. This can't be worse that that one." She ran her thumb acrossed where she thought her lower spine tattoo was.

"It hurts more there?" Regina asked, blinking. "well, where is the least painful??"

"Where you shouldn't get them I'm told," She joked, "Fleshy areas. Come on, you know me, I'm a glutton for punishment. I can't do anything easily."

"Oh boy." Regina sighed.

"You'll be fine. I swaer it isn't that bad," Penny said putting her hand on Regina's shoulder and putting a pen in front of her, "Sign your life away, my dear."

"Already did sweety." Regina pointed to her signature. " Besides... from what I undrestand, you're playing it pretty risky. You've known Jacen longer... is he okay?"

"Danger is my middle name..." She joked before glancing across the room to where the guys were flipping through books waiting for them to get done, "I think the fact that the Brotherhood didn't help him is still bothering him... We sort of talked about it the other night, but the pressing question on his mind was why we came after them and why I took on Rage..."

"Because you really care for him... why is it so hard for him to understand?" Regina asked, looking at the different colors.

She shook her head, "Well, that is understood now... It really wasn't before then. I still can't believe I did what I did... at least it didn't blow up on me."

"True." Regina had to nod at that one. "I'm glad it all worked out somehow. I was such a useless tool to the whole expedition"

"Actually, no, you weren't, Reg," Penny and she sat in a back room. Penny jumped up onto a chair and put her foot on a table to get tattooed, "My chances would have been nil without you there... and that wasn't what i was talking about. I believe I did that because I do crazy s**t like that all the time. I meant last night."

"What'd you do last night?" she asked, settling in a chair to just watch.

Penny slapped her forehead for two reasons: the needle going into her ankle shot a pain up her leg and the fact that she had passed out cold before telling Regina what had actually happened, "I'm highly surprised you didn't ask seeing I've been molesting his arm all morning."

"I wanted to keep it between us and there were lots of kids hanging around the house this morning." Regina smiled. "You know me, I may be curious, but I wait until the timing is better."

The tattoo guy muttered that he's heard much worse so not to be concerned with him being there. Penny shrugged and continued on then, "Yea, so he asked me about why I did all that... and I babbled on for about five minutes on all the stuff about it being the right thing and you know, dancing around. I mean, it was all true, but avoided the deeper subject there. So when I go to a point that I couldn't babble anymore and had to actually answer the question I just kissed him. Couldn't think of a better way to answer it. It worked out pretty well."

Regina stared at her for a minute then grinned. "Whatever works. I'm surprised he didn't kiss you first to shut up your babble." she teased. "But really... that's cool. I think Jonothan and I are going out tonight after dinner. Wonder what he'll think of the tattoo..."

"Darling, from the sounds of him last night, he'll jump on you with or without it," Penny's knuckled turned white grabbing onto the arm of the chair when the needle actually crossed the bone.

Regina winced. "You make a real good case as to why I shouldn't get this..."

"Oh, like it would be that bad. He's a stud," Penny said and stopped thinking about the needle which made it better somewhat, "Or do you mean the pain thing... I mean, seriously, have you you know?"

Regina blinked. "I was talking about the tattoo!" she laughed. "But no, I've never done 'that' either."

Penny laughed too and went on, "Well, that's going to make it interesting for Mr. Jonothan."

"Hey...." Regina blushed. "Shush... I've never even really gotten kissed so this isn't going to be easy for me."

Her tattoo was done and she jumped off the chair with the regular instructions of don't get it wet and so on and so forth, "Aw, that's okay. There's firsts for everything. I'm sure he'll be nothing more than a gentleman. Like I really should be talking..."

Regina smiled. "Hey, you at least have kissing experience."

"Yea well don't share that with anybody, gotta keep up the pretenses, you know," Penny joked. Guys weren't her first priority in life although for at least the current time her mindset had changed.

"Yeah yeah..." Regina gave a worried grin as the guy waved her over. She had been sketching most of the time and gave him the altered fox. "Nine tails, or as many as you can do, in grey and white."

Penny smiled and put out her hand to Regina, "It'll be fine."

"Still nervous..." she muttered, but sat down in the chair and grabbed Penny's hand.

"No turning back now," Penny said as Regina crushed her hand when the needle started but seemed to lighten up, "Be over before you know it."

"Riiiight.." Regina winced as the needle went and did it's art work. Once finished, she got to see it in a mirror. "Now we need tank tops..." she teased.

"We? That's about all I own, chickie," Penny shook the life back in her hand and took Regina out of the back room, "I only think you broke one of them."

"I did?" She gasped.

"No," Penny laughed.

OOC: Christ! And I thought mine was wordy!

IC: Jacen wasn't very talkative while riding to the boardwalk. There just wasn't much to say. It seemed that the X-Men were actually getting somewhat used to him being around. Jacen, on the otherhand, grew more and more disenfranchised with the idea of fighting for their goals. Their dream, ideal, of co-existance. Only occassionally, Jacen would sigh heavily and look out the window of the vehicle. Eventually, they made it to their destination.

After five minutes of silence between the guys and relative non-stop gabbing between the girls, they decided they were going southward to the tattoo parlor, essentially leaving the guys to wander their own way.

"Where are you going?," Porter asked Jacen out of curiosity.

"I heard a bird on my shoulder say there's a cutlery shoppe here. I'm going to check it out. I may not use physical blades, but damn if I don't appreciate them."

Porter smirked a bit. "Sure why not? I'll tag along."

"Very well," Jacen said as he led the way down the boardwalk. It was silent for the most part as the two walked briskly down the planked path. It was set up like a place Jacen had been to when he was about 8 or 9 in New Jersey. After not a very long amount of time, Jacen noticed a silver dagger sitting proudly on a display stand, the sheath laying next to it.

"For the wolf hunter in all of us," Jacen commented.

"What?.....Oh. That's actually rather....."

"Elegant? Lusterous? Beautiful?," Jacen said as he lamented over the craftsmanship of the dagger. If there was one thing he was particularly fond of was swords.

"You know, for some reason, hearing you say those things about bladed weaponry doesn't surprise me," Porter said as he walked into the store ahead of Jacen.

There was a bell rung as they entered the store, and quick hellos were exchanged with the shopkeep. As they walked further into the store, Jacen decided to speak up.

"Why does that not surprise you?," Jacen asked Porter as they looked over various knives.

"You just seem like the soldier type."

"That's because I am.....was....."

"As was I, although in a different sort of way."

"I see," Jacen said as he looked at a rather devastating looking broadsword. It'd take alot of strength for someone to wield it properly. Strength that he knew he had in abundance. See, Jacen was lucky that when he rifled through his things the last time, he managed to find the last little wad of cash that was proffered by Magneto to maintain the facade of him being human. A facade that for him no longer would work.

"You know," Jacen said after he asked the shopkeep to see the broadsword, "I know you think I'm one of the badguys. But, honestly, I'm nothing right now. I have no allegiance other than to myself." Jacen, with his right hand only, hefted the blade up evenly with his body, then pointed it straight out to look at the blade. The shopkeeper looked rather amazed at Jacen.

"The blade's bent," Jacen said as he lay the sword down on the glass countertop.

"I see you're a connesiuer," the shopkeeper said as he put the blade back on it's hanging display. "And don't worry. I won't kick you out. I know no normal man, no matter how big or strong they are, could do what I just saw you do. Any business around here is good business."

"Thank you sir, I appreciate that," Jacen said as he continued on his way through the store. There were maces, axes, spears, halberds, tridents, daggers, flails, morningstars, and all other sorts of weaponry, seemingly from the Middle Ages, European time. That was until they managed to hit the section of the store completely dedicated to Japanese wares.

"Wow...," Jacen said as he saw one sword. The tsuba was completely wrapped with a black silk, adorned with faux rubies, or quite possibly ruby chips at the butt of the tsuba. The blade was curved rather viciously, and had a green tint to it along the bloodline. Also sitting next to it was the sheath, being adorned in lacquered swordfish scales. Again, Jacen asked to see it, and started to float the blade around quite swiftly with one hand. Untrained in really any style, he still had grace. He toyed with the blade again before asking to see a piece of scrap paper from the shopkeeper. The 'keep obliged as he knew what was going on, and dropped the paper from about half a foot in the air. As the paper hit the bladed edge, it shorn in two effortlessly.

"...These are battle-ready?," Jacen asked.

"These ones, most assuredly young sir."

"And how much for this fine piece of art?"

"That one is three hundred even. With the wakazashi and tanto, it will be four fifty. Stand included."

"Really," Jacen said, reaching into his pocket. To his chagrin, he only had roughly three hundred and fifty dollars. "Oh well, I will take the katana."

Jacen handed the katana over and his money as well, as the 'keep took it upon himself to wrap the blade in a burlap cloth, and tied it off at the handle, again Jacen noticed it was in the old fashion.

"Obviously you two take this kind of stuff seriously."

"Us two, whom?," Jacen asked.

"Well, in this case, you and the shopkeeper, but what I really mean is you and Penance," Porter said, "It's no wonder she's taken a liking to you."

"Well, obviously as you say, I'd say the feeling is kind of mutual."

"Yes...well, about that...."

"Yes?"

"As her former teacher, if only for a short bit, and more so as her friend, I don't...."

"Don't want to see her hurt? Thank you sir," Jacen said to the shopkeeper while taking his newly purchased sword before turning back to Porter. He was kind of resentful of that comment. "Trust me, Jonny. That won't happen. I may not wind up flying with you guys after this vacation, but I owe her too much to just break her heart...."

"Have a good day, gentlemen!," the shopkeep said as Porter and Jacen both headed out of the store, only to stop a few feet in front of the store's window, continuing their conversation.

OOC: When I was posting my Bio I forgot to put Danielle's parent names. Her father is Marvin, her mother is Clair, her grandpa is William.

IC:
'These aren't really big waves...' Danielle thought as she was waiting to catch her next wave. She happened to glance over to the shore, and saw someone who looked vaguely familiar. She paddled a little bit closer to the shore to get a better look. "Marvin?" She said quietly.
She tried to get closer, but before she could start paddling again she was knocked underwater by a wave. She swam to the surface and grabbed her surfbaord to keep afloat. She looked back at the place where he stood, but he wasn't there. 'No it couldn't have been him.' She thought.
Danielle got back on her surfboard, and paddled to shore. She grabbed the towel out of her bag and dried off with it, then stuffed it back in the bag, and slung it over her shoulder, and walked off with her surfboard.
She kept thinking about whoever it was she saw on the beach. 'No, it wasn't Marvin. He's dead.' She kept telling herself. 'But he looked so much like Marvin.'
"No!" She accidently yelled out causing people to stare.
'What the heck....' She thought, then started acting like she had multiple personalities.

Blair and Rogue saw Penny and Regina come over with their new tattoos. Admiring them, he went back to the table and picked up the book.

"I think I'm going to get this....it's a Hindu symbol, not sure what it means...but I want it on the back of my neck..."

He thought about the symbol and his few other ideas as he signed the papers saying he wouldn't come back and harass them when his skin started to sag.

ooc: Pardon the sheer crappiness of this post but I wanted to see Penny and Regina's reactions to it before I got it done. If nothing else, just to give him confidence or whatever. Hehe. But whatever. biggrin

Jamie wandered around the boardwalk for awhile, before heading back to the sword shop. He was about to go in, when he saw Jacen and Porter standing outside talking.

"Hey, I hope I'm not 'interupting' anything." He said. It was times like this that he felt really self-councience about his age. It seemed like people had a tendency to write him off because he was so young. He eyed the wrapped sword on Jacen's back.

"Did you just get that?"

OOC: Is her dad a paranoid andriod? (Hitchhikers Guide reference) Feel free to update your bio anytime Haru. I tend to update mine whenever new things about my character come about... And yes, our AIM posts tend to get wordy.

IC:

Porter leaned against the store front seeing Penny and Regina standing on the inside of the building across from them. He watched Regina and wondered what she had gotten. It didn't really matter, he knew he would like it as long as it wasn't a flaming skull of doom.

"I know she doesn't expect you to join the X-Men, she doesn't look at everything black and white like that," He continued on as he could see the girls talking to Blair maybe, "But girls are funny creatures sometimes. I can't control what you guys do and don't want to. I only ask you be honest with her about where your loyalties lay."

Penny leaned over his shoulder and looked at the tattoo that Blair was going to get, "That does look pretty cool, but you should probably get something that you know the meaning too. You don't want to end up with 'Man who likes to eat raw chicken' on the back of your neck."

Regina laughed, "I don't think it means 'man who likes to eat raw chicken." She slid the sheet of paper out of the book and flipped it over. The word meanings were on the back.

"Strength," Penny said, "Nice. We're going to be a well decorated crew."

She looked up and saw the guys waiting outside of the cutlery shop and then at her watch, "Blair, we'll be acrossed the way when you're done. The guy back there is pretty cool."
She put her sunglasses back on and crossed the sand dusted boardwalk. Jamie was waiting around too at this point, "Man, does Jonothan always look that serious?"

"Unless he's with me, yes," Regina blurted out which made Penny chuckle since it was uncharacteristic of her friend. The crossed the boardwalk and greeted the trio of men.

"May I?" Penny asked to see what Jacen had purchased. Jamie was eyeing it too. She was pretty impressed with the crafstmanship seeing it was a beach store, "Shame. Most people who probably come in here don't appreciate such a thing. Jamie, let's go see if we can find you something nice."

The shop keep acknowledge their presence with a nod and Penny looked around really impressed with what was hanging on the wall. It wasn't cheap costume looking crap she usually would see in mall stores. This was the real deal and a lot of real time was put into these.

"Jamie," She said and took one off the wall, "How does this feel?"

She then leaned on a counter, "Sir, I'm not looking for anything in particular and these are all nicely made. What would you recommend?"

"Penance, I asume," The shopkeeper motioned to the gentlemen who were just in the store and he had seen her conversing with.

"Yes, sir," She smiled.

OOC: Okay cutting that off in a weird place. Gotta get going.

"Why yes, I did just get this sword," Jacen said as he handed it over to Jamie, "Would you care to take a looksee?" As Jamie looked over the rather elegant sword, Jacen heard Porter continue on.

"So, you want me to be honest that I'm loyal to no one?"

"Not exactly like that," Porter said, "But you know that somewhere down the line, said loyalty will become an issue."

"Maybe for the rest of you guys, but I feel quite fine serving myself for the time being." Jacen smiled for a second. "Actually, even though I feel somewhat 'lost', I'm rather glad I don't really have to answer to anyone anymore. It seems like a big stone has been lifted off of my shoulders. I don't have to worry about messing up a mission, though that happened rarely....."

"The way you talk, it seems as if you were almost the perfect soldier."

"Not perfect, but good enough to ascend the ranks at my young age." Jacen said that with no small amount of pride in his voice.

"You take that role seriously it seems."

"Yea...I used to, still do, but now...it's like I'm a soldier without a commander. Or even a mercenary." Jacen lamented a bit while speaking with Porter. All the while. Jamie had handed the sword back to Jacen as Penance took the kid inside the store. It seemed everyone was congregating again, and, Jacen had noticed this at least, he was hungry. Out of habit, Jacen cautiously looked around for at least a decent eating establishment.

Morgan, in the meantime, had been wandering around the boardwalk, checking out any and all shops that sold musical instruments and accessories. He'd found a few good stores, which he was planning to check out in depth later, to compare prices, and see which ones would rent out items.

He too ended up at the tattoo parlour, in time to see Penny and Regina striding across the boardwalk to the cutlery shop. He was definitely going to check that place out afterwards.

He stepped into the parlour to see Blair picking a tattoo design. "Heh, seems everyone's getting one," Morgan chuckled. Always wanted a tattoo. Now seems as good a time as any, he thought.

Morgan signed up shortly after Blair did. He already had a design in mind. A black dragon, stretching across his back and down the back of his arm. Going to be pretty painful, but I can deal with that, he thought.

After finishing off her apple, and realizing she basically had the house to herself, Teagan wandered back up the stairs to get change into her bathing suit. She grabbed her cd player, slinging her head phones around her neck before walking back down the stairs. She walked out the back door, heading towards the hot tub. She noticed a few papers flying around the yard, picking one up and looking at it.

"Volleyball, eh?" She muttered, slipping into the hot tub and turning on her cd player. She let out a sigh of relaxation, closing her eyes as the music blared from her headphones.
"I wonder where everyone is, anyway." She thought, kicking her feet slightly in the water.

Jamie was thankful that he'd had at least had some experience with swords before coming here. Having used the practice sword, and handled the sword that Jacen just bought, he could at least have some comparison. Jamie handed the one that Penance had handed him, it being a little too heavy for his taste, and wandered around the store.

He eyed a few pieces before he saw something truly gorgeous. It was a long, curved katana, that gave off an air of elegance and power. When he asked to see it, he knew it was what he was looking for. It was lightweight, and slightly longer than the one he was used to using, but it was durable. He told the shopkeeper that it was what he was looking for, and didn't think twice about the price of the sword and the sheath, knowing it would serve him well. "Thank you very much" He said to the shopkeep, and then he backed up.

Danielle walked in a Starbucks that was on the boardwalk. She looked over the menu they had on the wall. "Can I help you?" The person behind the counter asked.
"Umm.... A white chocolate mocha please." Danielle replied.
The waitress went to make her drink, and brought it out to Danielle when she was done. Danielle paid and sat down by the glass windows with her drink.

"I bet you see all types having a store here," Penny handled the sword that the shopkeeper recommended to her. She held it out in front of her to tests it's weight. It had a good blade on it and the hilt had better craftsmanship that she had seen.

"Today is by far the most interesting," He nodded and Penny graciously handed the sword back to him for purchase. It was better than most she owned already.

She handed him her plastic and leaned against the counter looking at the other items behind the glass, one concealable dagger caught her attention, "Throw that in there too. Can never have too many."

"Thank you for your business today and please come back anytime," He said and she bid him a good day walked outside of the store with her wares. She caught up with Jacen and put a hand on his shoulder, "Hey, you hungry?"

The man in the tattoo parlour motioned for Blair to come back into the room just as he was about to talk to Morgan.

"Yeah, seems like it's tattoo day. I guess the X-Men don't get to go to town and get this done very much, eh? Morgan, is it? Hey, come back with me..."

Blair walked with Morgan to the backroom and motioned for him to watch and talk to him while he was getting the tattoo done.

The shopkeeper instructed Blair to lay down on the table, face-down so he could ink his neck. He laid down with his head over the edge of the chair-table so he could speak.

"Judging by your expressions...this is your first one? Heh, it's not too bad. Well, mine might be...the neck is kinda a bad place to get on----Ouch!", Blair said and then winced when the first needle went into his neck.
